I woke up to the smell of bacon and pancakes. God damn it smelled so good. My mom would have her days where she wanted to cook but were all adults working full time. It was always easier to pick up food on the way for there was minimal clean up. I went into the kitchen and once again it was just Xavier. Except today he had on some Nike sweats and a plain white tshirt. He looked at me and smiled "Goodmorning sunshine how did you sleep" I replied with a one word answer "great" trying not to make eye contact. He replied" that's good to hear. Your mom got pretty fucked up last night and has a Knarley hangover. I figure we can hit the outlets for a little bit I need to grab a few things if you wanna tag along." I thought about it for a while and agreed. He said " great after we eat we will go ahead and head out."
On our way to the outlets it's almost as if last night never happened. He's acting so non chalant and making eye contact so easily as if everything was okay which.... I guess it technically was? Maybe I'm just in my head holy shit. We get to the outlets and we split our separate ways. I wanted to grab a few things and didn't want to follow him everywhere.
I grabbed everything I needed and decided to hit the food court to get myself a drink. As I'm standing in line I make eye contact with a stranger and immediately get the sweats. I god I think he's going to come over here and try talking to me. And sure as shit he stood in the line behind me and said " I love your shoes" I turned around and said "thanks" and turned back around. He then stood in front of me wanting to make eye contact with me and said " can I get your name? You are so beautiful." I replied " if its alright with you I'm not looking to meet new people or date" I seemed to have hurt his pride a little when he replied with " o cmonnnn are you gonna play hard to get? You're not even that cute" as I was about to reply a shadow seemed to cast over me and this stranger and his eyes opened just a little wider. I turned around to see what he was looking at and it was my step dad Xavier carrying a few bags he was so close behind that if I moved an inch my ass would be touching his thigh or dick. I looked up at him nervously. He looked at said stranger and asked " do we have a fucking problem here" the stranger replied " no no no dude I didn't know she even had a man she was eyeballing me like she wanted a dude but she's just a tease man" Xavier stepped over from behind me to stand in front of me and got closer to the strangers face. " I saw and heard you since you walked over. You really wanna lie to my face right now?" The stranger opened his mouth and just took off running. Xavier stiffly turned around and said " Let's Go"
