David was now at the hospital where he practiced. Doctor Erik, his good friend, had just arrived after David called him to discuss one of his patient blood test results. Erik sat on the sofa, while David stood near the window, holding a glass of water.
"So, essentially, what method are we going to take to save him..." David asked seriously.
Erik was about to respond when David office door was suddenly pushed open violently, slamming against the wall.
Both David and Erik were startled and quickly turned. Standing in the doorway was Ryan, breathing heavily, his eyes red with suppressed anger. Without saying a word, Ryan strode in quickly, his face full of determination.
Bugh!
Ryan hand landed squarely on David right cheek. The sound of the punch was loud, and David staggered sideways from the sudden attack, dropping the glass of water he was holding, which shattered on the floor.
