Chapter 37 - The Gates of Potential

Miya roamed around the Hollow Land on foot, walking around mountains. Miya sighs and noticed a small town in the distance. There were small huts and a large waterfall coming down.

A town? Weird... there's huts so I'm going to assume there's people here.. I hope there's regular citizens here.. it'll be rare though. Miya's thoughts hoped on citizens as she walked towards the small town.

The Frost Town was covered in frost and icicles hanging from the ceilings of the huts. Miya then noticed a specific one which is known to unleash all of the potential of one being.

Miya walked to the entrance of Frost Town and immediately walked to the hut that deals with potential.

She walked through and noticed how neatly everything is. The tables and potions were neatly organized as well as the books.

"Huh... spell books, potions.. they're all organized... is it for unlocking potentials...?" Miya murmured as she asks herself the question. She glances around, and notices a witch comes out of a room.

She wore a witch hat, and a wizard-like outfit, like she does witchcraft. She was an elder lady in her mid eighties as she glanced over to her direction.

"Oh! little one! come here! I assume you're here to unlock your potential!" she shouted with a smile. Miya glanced at her as she was startled a bit from her sudden shout.

"Well I—" Miya was stopped mid sentence by the witch who continued to smile.

"Come!" the witch gestured Miya to follow her as they both started walking into a separate room which held a ritual on the floor.

"What the—? What's this?" Miya asks with a confused glance at the ritual.

"Sit down, I'll unlock your potential completely if that's fine!" the witch continued smiling as she gestured her to sit down in the center.

Miya sat down confused, legs crossed and her hands on her knees.

"What now?" Miya asks through curiosity. The witch glanced at her as her eyes narrowed down a bit as she continues smiling.

"Close your eyes darling, and let me do the work." says the witch as she confidently gets everything ready.

Miya closed her eyes as the witch gets everything ready. She started chanting in otherworldly language in which the ritual glows crimson red.

The potential gates started snapping open as more potential gets released. As more and more, leading to all gates, opens up, the ritual then finishes.

Miya opens up her eyes slowly as her presence was released which filled up the entire hut.

The witch glanced at her as her eyes widened in shock.

"Oh my! You're the arch-celestial of war! so this is what they meant..." the witch was in shock, then she chuckled. Miya glanced over to her and stood up.

"So I really am the arch-celestial huh...? I have this much power from when I was in heaven and I didn't notice?" Miya asks as she was also in shock. Her eyes widened completely.

"Yes, it seems so. You hid all of this power, and you hadn't noticed all of this!" the witch says as she jumps up excitedly.

"Why are you excited about this?" says Miya as she tilts her head in confusion.

"It's because you're THE arch-celestial of war! The strongest arch-celestial that could ever exist! these beings are so rare that it requires the seed of true awakening! It's extremely rare!" the witch shouts with a smile as she bounces up and down in excitement.

Miya glanced at her and sighs, then smiled a bit as she left. She was starting to question it herself. Miya still didn't believe she's the new born arch-celestial.

Everyone in heaven watched everything. God's eyes widened a bit in shock.

"Miya.. you defying little child. This wasn't part of my plan for you, and yet.. here you are changing my plans. I had set up a perfect life plan until a happy death, but here you.. you changed fate..." God murmurs to himself as he smiled as he's proud.

"You really are something. You weren't supposed to go to that town and continued fighting, but you did it. No one had defied my plans and made a new fateful path for themselves before." God continue to mutter to himself with a smile as he is sitting on his throne.

His door opened up, seeing Adam's son and the second son to him.

"Abel, my child, what is it do you need?" says God as he continued to smile. Abel walked up towards him.

Abel's hair was blonde and his eyes were brown, he's the younger brother of Cain. He smiled at God.

"Well uhh... how's the watch from here?" says Abel with a nervous chuckle.

"Well... it's been good, although you're dressed nicely. A nice yellow and white uniform of heaven." God compliments his outfit with a smile.

"Thank you! It was something dad left for me after his passing." Abel said with a bright smile.

God chuckled and smiled as he pat his head. Abel smiled kindly, letting him pat his head.

"Now go on, and do your duties ok?" says God as he continued to smile.

Abel nodded and left to do his duties. God continued watching Miya and her journey as he sits there, legs crossed.

Down in the Morningstar mansion, Lucifer had woke up, seeing the sins next to him as Belphegor was asleep.

"You're up Lucifer.. how are you feeling?" says Asmodeus with a smile, but also full of concern.

"I'm fine..." says Lucifer as he sits up and rubs his head. He was disoriented and confused.

He then glanced at his shoulder and sees the wounds are healed up. Lucifer suspected it was Miya's doing in healing him then he smiled.

That was then, he could sense Miya's immense presence even from Hell. His eyes widened in shock.

"That's... the Arch-Celestial of War? The one who's closest to father in power? Dammit, I can't tell if I should be angry or proud of her. I'm already prideful enough with my achievements too.." says Lucifer as he chuckles with softness. Asmodeus and Satan glanced at him as they laughed with him.

"Yes Luci, that bitch is the arch-celestial of war. She finally found out!" Satan shouts with a happy, and low growl in his voice.

They continued laughing while Lucifer let out a nervous chuckle and glanced downwards. He started to realize that even with so much pride, he too, could feel pain. It hurts him so much that God could defeat him with a snap.

He tried to keep a smile on and the sins glanced over at Lucifer with concern.

"Thinking about it huh? well darling, I can get you something fun to use between you and your wife hm?" says Asmodeus, lustfully. Lucifer glanced over at him with a sigh.

"Lilith isn't my wife. We never were dating or married. We were just friends." says Lucifer as he covers everything up with a chuckle.

"Whatever you say my king." says Asmodeus as they leave with respect while Belphegor stayed asleep.

Lucifer glanced at Belphegor and stood out of bed and pat his head. God continued watching everything and he sighed.

Cain, who's the older brother and first son of Adam and Eve, had stayed in his room and laid in bed. His hair was brown and short, and wore a black suit, buttoned up completely with a white shirt and black tie. His pants were black including his shoes.

Abel had knocked on his door to check up on him with a smile.

"Cain! Brother! Are you in there?" Abel shouted as he knocked.

Cain opened up the door and noticed Abel and sighed.

"What is it?" says Cain, calmly.

"Just checking up on you brother." says Abel as he chuckles.

"I'm fine. Now I have an offering for God." says Cain and left with his things. Abel glanced at him and left as well.

Cain made it to God's throne room holding crops from his farm. He walked in and kneeled, holding the basket full of it.

"God, I shall offer you some crops." says Cain, then Abel also came in after minutes he left his room.

Abel came in with a sacrifice of his firstborn from the flock and showed it to God. He smiled brightly and innocently. Cain glanced over and thinks about how God wouldn't accept it.

"God wouldn't accept that Abel. He would accept cro—" Cain stopped mid sentence as God smiled at Abel, showing some acceptance towards Abel and not Cain.

Abel left as he shined brightly with joy and left excitedly. Cain glanced over to God with confusion.

"Why did you accept Abel's and not my crops?" says Cain, confused as he tilted his head.

"It was Abel's gift. You try too hard Cain, try too hard to be perfect. No one is perfect. Your efforts... doesn't show me that YOU want to be seen as my child, but is attention starved. You've never learned.. I should've spoken to Adam." says God with a calming tone.

"You... you preferred my brother, Abel, over me? How can you do that!" Cain shouted in anger, and started to feel jealous. Feeling envious about Abel, knowing he was the favorite child.

God sighed and dismissed him with a simple wave. It caused Cain to be teleported to his room.

At that point, Cain's jealousy and anger built up in him. He was so jealous at that point, he wanted to take revenge. Then... he finally came up with an idea, and Cain had finally planned the date as well.
