Just read it.

This auxiliary chapter is intended as a guide to avoid a lot of questions and confusion.

If you're a person that hates spoilers, please stop reading right now.

It's not a power ranking, just an explanation of a few concepts in the book.

...

In the setting of the novel, there is a tricky system of government to start with.

I'll call it…a Feudal Magocratic Monarchy.

~Feudal; Power is shared among the land controlling noble families. They're only ten, generally called the Great Noble Houses, headed by Monarchs.

~Magocratic; Magical abilities and bloodlines determine the amount of influence.

Like most other similar settings, this world has a scale of only absolute power, perhaps seconded by wealth.

~Monarchy; There's an emperor, but the power of the royal family can be greatly limited by the Monarchs' influence.

******

The House of Velmortis, the Ruling house, has headed the empire since its inception. It resides at the royal capital, Nakamai.

The Ten Great Noble Houses, live in different districts across the empire. Each Monarch assumes command of his district, as a sort of deputy to the emperor.

The Monarchs are the Senate of the Empire, and also the protectors.

Each Great Noble house also has a unique bloodline ability, accessable by only the true heirs of a house.

*****

Once in a generation, every house brought forth a true heir – always from the main branch, never from the side branch – one, who would represent his family among the Monarchs.

The bloodline ability, the Haima, is widely practiced by all the Mage members of the house. However, it isn't uncommon to see some runts who can't perform it.

However, a true heir's abilities will always be akin to a blessed prodigy's.

Nevertheless, everyone, irrespective of family, has their own unique origin technique. It's like an innate dormant power, always ready to be awakened.

Rest assured, it's not as easy as it sounds. A lot of people give up trying and fail to become mages.

*****

The clan head represents his house among the Monarchs.

The Great Houses are;

~The House of Veylor.

Haima; Temporal Dominion (Time manipulation and chronosight)

~The house of Thalor.

Haima; Bloodcraft (Perfect control of Blood from every blooded creature.)

~The house of Draven.

Haima; Total Confession (Manipulation and perfect control over the mind, once successfully completed.)

~The house of Elric.

Haima; Absolute Illusions (Total illusion. Similar to the Total Confession, but difference.)

... Illusion decieves the mind and not controls it.

~The house of Vaelen.

Haima; Summoning. (Summoning beasts, guardians and all sorts of even inanimate things, but not anything which has killed or being killed.)

~The house of Halvek.

Haima; Umbra Dominion. (Extended usage of Shadows. Masters of Silence and Vanishing. Legendary assassins.)

~The house of Velmor.

Haima; Verdant Sovereignity. (Nature communion, absolute mastery over decay and regrowth.)

~The house of Branth.

Haima; Storm Bringing. (Perfect mastery over thunder, wind and atmospheric elements.)

~The house of Hella.

Haima; Soul forging. (Necromancy, darkest of all abilities. Manipulations and weaponization of souls, sentient weapons, both living and dead.)

~The house of Ashborn.

Haima; Titan's Bind. (Supernatural strength, human capabilities are perked into divine boundaries, and unbreakable war bringing).

The Ashborn head, representing the house among the Monarchs also headed them. Always. Irrespective of generation.

However, there was a reason for that.

Strangely, none of the Haimas of the other Houses does not work on him.

No one knows why. But it only applies to the true heirs.

~Note; All Haimas can be bypassed, or resisted, with equal or overwhelming power.

The emperor is the sole ruler and has his own veto power, but with the a truce among five out of ten Monarchs united, his authority becomes useless.

Then, over to the other side.

The very reason the Monarchs were formed in the first place, was due to the sudden existence of monstras.

Till today, no one knows how they came about.

Worst of all, no one is even aware of the painful reality, that the monstras also have their own ranks.

Those who top that rank, bear insane broken power, raw power that can outshadow even the Monarchs all at once.

...

The Monstra Hierarchy.

~ La Hoja del Malzah.

Also called the Eclipsed Seven, Apex of all Monstras, chosen by the Primordial Abyss themselves.

The Primordial Abyss, home to all the Monstras, is been ruled by an entity known simply as The Absolute Being.

Technically, it isn't an abyss.

Each of the Malzahja represents each of the Seven Deadly Sins, in order of strength;

– Pride.

– Lust.

– Greed.

– Wrath.

– Gluttony.

– Envy.

– Sloth.

They're ranked from I to VII, based on their raw destructive potentials and arxra energy densities.

They will be named later in the novel.

~Espavro.

Attendants to each of the Malzah. Each of the Eclipsed have nine Espavros assigned to him.

They also have the highest potential to become one of the Malzah.

~Abyssria.

High level Monstra aspiring to be one of the Espavro. They reside in the Abyss and are never permitted to leave, except on special circumstances.

~Altumbria.

Have unique evolving forms. They evolve from eating souls of both Monstras, Beasts and mortals. They all abide by a unique code, and have a Final Release called Barona.

This will also be explained extensively in the novel.

From this rank, every Monstra in this rank and above can assume humanoid forms.

~Malnato.

Created when many Monstras fuse into one unwillingly. Weak among it's kind, it only strives to acquire more souls with high arxra reserves, in order to advance more. They have some sort of intelligence.

~Renacro.

Formed from souls supposed to be condemned in hell, animalistic, ravenous and numerous. They have literally no sense of reasoning. They're both hunted by the Malnato and Altumbria.

Been a Monstra can be partly an endless cycle, especially if it's killed by a human, or a beast that doesn't or wouldn't absorb it's souls or essence.

If such an incident happens, the Monstra reincarnates as a Renacro, as far as the Divine Abyss lives.

~Arxra;

Surely, you've been seeing this word a lot in this chapter. Well, here's a simpler way to explain it.

Y'all must have heard about mana in one way or the other. Either from webnovels, or animes, manga and sort.

In this novel, all the energies and stuff, used as some kind of fuel to perform techniques – just like mana in most instances – it's called arxra here.

It follows all the usual rules of mana; which I will just list here. It will be explained a bit in the novel;

~Generation; igniting and awakening the dormant energy.

~Refinement; Training body, aligning flow till everything seems seamless.

~Manifestation; In simple words, Will meets reality.

Well, that's all for now. Happy Reading, y'all.
