A single Pokémon, Diancie, had already brought so many changes to Cain.

Combining his observations with calculations and assumptions, he understood that it was Magearna who was providing those advantages.

To accelerate the process of Mega Evolution, Cain almost always kept Diancie by his side, also equipping her with the Soothe Bell.

Cain told Juan that he would retreat for a while to train in seclusion with his Pokémon, and that he shouldn't assign him tasks.
Juan, still feeling guilty about what had happened in the last mission, accepted without giving him responsibilities.
Meanwhile, Drake, already recovered from his injuries, called him from time to time to invite him aboard his ship and directly teach him how to train dragon-type Pokémon.
