Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Potions Class, Hard Fight with Snape

During lunch break, little Hermione excitedly shared with Kevin her mental journey when casting spells. She felt very happy that someone could share her learning results with her for the first time.

Kevin listened quietly, commenting from time to time.

Harry and Ron followed behind, feeling a little redundant because they couldn't understand a word Kevin and Hermione were talking about.

When we got to the meeting hall, we all had lunch together.

Looking at Harry who was concentrating on eating, Kevin thought for a moment and decided to remind him.

"Harry, have you read the book for Potions class this afternoon?"

Harry looked up blankly.

Shouldn't you be asking Hermione this?

Hermione was also surprised why Kevin didn't ask her.

"Harry, you know you're a famous person. Your parents also studied at Hogwarts and are quite famous. I heard that Professor Snape of the Potions class seems to dislike your father. I think you might be targeted. You should prepare yourself first."

Hermione and Harry were both curious about where Kevin had heard that.

Harry wanted to know more about his parents, while Hermione was curious about this kind of gossip. Only Ron was still eating.

"Well, I saw it in a random book in Diagon Alley. It seemed to be some kind of gossip..." Of course Kevin couldn't tell the real reason, so he just made one up.

"Don't expect an orphan like me to know too much."

Kevin once again used his orphan status as an excuse.

The two of them didn't dare to continue asking.

After eating, Harry completely forgot about Kevin asking him to review the Potions book. They went to the library together.

He just wanted to find Kevin's nonsense and know more about his parents. Even Ron helped him look for it.

Kevin and Hermione picked up a potions book and started reading.

Kevin is still very interested in magic potions, such as the Luck Potion that can make people super lucky, the Truth Serum that makes people unable to lie, and even the potion of immortality.

However, the books he had read were all basic, and there was no mention of these advanced potions. He didn't know whether the elixir of life required the use of the Philosopher's Stone to make it.

He was even more looking forward to finding the Half-Blood Prince's wealth.

Soon the lunch break was over and they all went to the Potions classroom together.

Kevin and the others sat together at the long table, sitting next to Harry.

He was not afraid of being affected by Harry or anything like that, because he had thought about it for a long time and decided to confront Snape and see if he could get his attention.

It was soon time for class.

With a clang, the iron door of the classroom was violently pushed open, and Snape's loud voice rang out.

"No wands or random spells allowed in my class."

As soon as he came in, he felt a strong sense of oppression. Snape walked quickly to the podium and looked down at the little kids below.

"I think many of you cannot understand the profound, scientific, and delicate craftsmanship of making potions.

Only those who are talented and ambitious will understand the magic potion that flows into people's blood, the magical power that makes people's hearts and minds excited and confused.

I will teach you how to improve your reputation, brew glory, and even teach you how to make the elixir of life."

As soon as Snape came on stage, he was like a pyramid scheme leader, talking about the magic of potions and tempting the group of little kids in front of him who had never come into contact with potions.

Kevin just noticed that Harry was writing something on the side, and Kevin secretly nudged Harry to tell him not to move.

Before Snape could start to make things difficult for Harry, Kevin raised his hand first.

Snape didn't want to pay attention at first, but suddenly he saw that this boy was the boy he saw exercising in the morning, and he pondered for a few seconds.

"Mr. Kevin."

Snape folded his arms across his chest and raised his chin towards Kevin.

"Professor, does the elixir of immortality require the Philosopher's Stone?"

"…"

The whole class watched in silence as Kevin asked this incredible question.

Hermione and the others were also stunned. Is this a question they should ask in their first year?

Putting aside the fact that they had never heard of the Philosopher's Stone, just talking about the Elixir of Life, a potion of this level was obviously not something that these young wizards should consider.

"...Mr. Kevin, what kind of confidence makes you ask such a stupid, arrogant, and ridiculous question."

Snape walked in front of Kevin's desk with a gloomy face, exuding a terrifying aura.

Kevin admitted he was a little intimidated.

But he still continued, "You were the one who said I should be ambitious..."

"Oh, I see. I wonder if your sensitive ears caught the previous sentence. You have talent."

"So is it necessary?" Kevin continued to ask stubbornly. He was really curious.

"…"

"Since Mr. Kevin is so interested in potions, let me ask you, what will you get if you add narcissus bulb powder to wormwood stem liquid?"

"You can get the Water of Life and Death, a powerful sleeping pill."

Snape looked at Kevin's calm eyes and seemed unhappy. He said in a heavier tone, "If I want a bezoar, where should I find it?"

"Professor in the goat's stomach."

Snape continued to ask: "What is the difference between Aconitum napellus and Aconitum chamaejasme?"

"There is no difference."

Kevin always answered questions fluently.

"Heh, it seems Mr. Kevin does have the capital to be confident, but do you think that just because you've mastered some basic knowledge by rote memorization, you can be so ambitious as to understand things that are beyond your reach?"

Snape sneered, not recognizing Kevin at all for answering correctly, and continued to sarcastically comment.

"I don't think any knowledge is divided into high and low levels, Professor." Kevin retorted directly.

The other students in the classroom swallowed their saliva, and even Draco was a little impressed that Kevin dared to talk back to Professor Snape like that.

"Hehehe..." Snape laughed sinisterly, and his laugh was so terrifying all the little wizards felt a chill.

"Then you should know that the knowledge is in my hands. Whether I want to teach you or not is entirely up to me. So now, be quiet!"

Professor Snape changed his expression as soon as he said it.

He was smiling like a poisonous snake in the last second, and then he put on a stern face in the next second, confronted Kevin directly, and immediately got into the teaching state.

As expected of him, he refused to suffer any loss and directly interrupted the conversation.

Harry, Ron, Hermione and others secretly gave Kevin a thumbs up.

Snape's reputation as a potion master is well-deserved. He prepared a bottle of healing potion on the spot, and the process was like an art, effortless and effortless.

The healing medicine that came out emitted a light that he could not afford. It was definitely the top-level healing medicine.

"I don't expect you to make a decent potion, I just hope you won't be like a troll and randomly mix up a pot of disgusting, dangerous, and shameful liquid."

"And you, Mr. Kevin, if you can't concoct a qualified cure, then you don't have to leave get out of class. Stay here tonight and spend the rest of your ridiculous ambition."

Snape asked everyone to work in pairs to prepare potions. Kevin was assigned to a single group and given a separate task.

"No problem, Professor. If I can brew a qualified potion, can you give me some hope for my ridiculous ambition?"

"Hehe, you are not qualified to make demands to me now, Mr. Kevin." Snape sneered and directly rejected Kevin's question.

He had been very interested in potions before, and he thought it would be a good idea to attract Snape's attention in this way.

The old bat has a sharp tongue but a soft heart. If he shows enough talent, he believes that the old bat will not turn a blind eye.

Just because he doesn't deserve it now doesn't mean he won't deserve it in the future.

Harry and the others cast worried glances at Kevin, but Kevin smiled at them and began to prepare the potion seriously.

He had read many books on potions before, and he had paid special attention to the most classic blue potion and red potion.

To be honest, these potions are a bit beyond the scope of the curriculum, so Snape didn't ask these little idiots to complete them in class.

Except Kevin.

He originally used an IQ of 10 to learn the potion, and now he is learning it again with an IQ of 20. With the guidance of the master Snape, Kevin is very confident that he can concoct it.

However, Snape did not say anything about the profound knowledge details. Kevin could only recall the preparation method demonstrated by Snape before, combine it with the dosage of various herbs in the textbook, and then modify it.

After a quarrel with Snape, Kevin was somewhat unhappy. He wanted to create a book that belonged to him, Kevin's wealth.

The modulation begins!
