A dull, crushing fist slammed into Su Yun's face.
Blood poured from the corner of his mouth. Hot tears mixed with it, streaking his cheeks until neither could be told from the other.
Su Yun howled in pain.
Bang!
He answered with a savage blow of his own, striking the young man in white across the face.
Though both Su Yun and the King of the Gurongi, Daguba, had taken human forms, the wind and snow turned them into two living silhouettes—one black, one white—locked in a bloody, relentless brawl.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Blood sprayed in all directions. The snow beneath them was already painted crimson.
Still, the young man in white laughed—wildly, maniacally—even as he spat mouthfuls of blood. His once-white clothes were soaked scarlet, yet his laugh only grew louder.
This was the savage contest he had sought: the utter annihilation of a Kuuga worthy of avenging the grudges sealed by the First Kuuga for millennia. Only by defeating such a Kuuga could Daguba become the supreme force in the world.
The brutal exchange continued.
"Woo… woo… woo…" Su Yun cried as he pummeled the white-clothed figure again and again. He could not remember how many strikes he had landed. As long as the young man did not fall, the slaughter would not end.
The wind bit harder. In that white world, the villain's mad laughter and the hero's ragged sobs echoed across the summit.
Silence fell upon the three worlds.
A deathly quiet. Every viewer stared at the frozen image, unable to comprehend the cruelty unfolding before them.
They had expected a harsh final duel, but not one of such absolute, corporeal bloodshed. Both combatants wielded ultimate power; neither spared finesse—only fists and raw violence. The battlefield beneath their feet ran red with blood from both the Ultimate Dark Kuuga and the King of the Gurongi.
Watching the black-clad guardian weep stunned the audience into sorrow. Su Yun's life creed had always been to smile through every hardship—yet now the one who protected others' smiles could not stop himself from crying. The brightness that once graced his face had vanished.
Across Teyvat, the Collapse Three Worlds, and the Star Dome Railway, viewers felt the same wrenching pain.
The fight reached its final throes. Snow and wind howled like ghosts and wolves; feathered flakes fell as if they were splashed water.
"Ahh…""Hahahaha!"
The white man laughed and threw another punch.
Bang! Bang!
Both fell blows landed in each other's faces—bright red blood splattered and dripped onto the snow like blooming plum blossoms.
Time seemed to slow.
The two figures staggered and, almost together, collapsed onto the snow.
The camera pulled back slowly. The wind still screamed. Snow kept falling, softening the scene as flakes blanketed the bloody ground and whitened it again.
But neither the black angel nor the white devil rose.
At that sight, viewers could not hold back. Tears streamed unchecked. The chat feeds erupted—pleas and cries splattered across the screen:
Su Yun! Stand up! Don't die!
Extraordinary Chat Group
Furina: "Wuwuwu—Su Yun, please don't die. If you die, I'll be a widow in my past life! My heart hurts so much!"
Yae Miko: "The hero who protects everyone's smiles, yet he himself is crying. This snowy fight broke me."
Bronya (Honkai 3rd): "Su Yun, don't die! If you die, nothing will remain!"
Star Rail — Sushang: "If you are the Kamen Rider who protects smiles, stand up! Don't sleep—don't die!"
Paimon: "Wuwuwu, Ying, my heart aches too. I feel so bad!"
While the comment storm rolled like waves, the camera cut to Ichijo Kaoru—Heisei era's strongest secondary Rider—battling through wind and snow toward the summit.
"Su Yun…!" Ichijo cried, eyes stinging red as he sprinted, heedless of everything.
The three worlds held their breath. Was there anyone left alive atop that merciless mountain?
The answer came not in blood and frost but in sunlight.
A new image replaced the last: a bright blue sky and drifting clouds. A subtitle read:
[Battle of Snow Mountain — Three months later]
The viewers realized they were watching a scene of Kuuga's world three months after the fight. The camera lifted: under golden sunlight, the city was alive and peaceful. People walked the streets with smiles. It was as if the Gurongi nightmare had never been.
Relief eased across the three worlds.
The scene shifted to the Unknown Life Investigation Bureau. Officers were packing; the bureau's sign had been removed. The Metropolitan Police had abolished the Unknown Lifeform Investigation Bureau.
As the audience digested this, Ichijo Kaoru appeared, arranging paper files. The camera zoomed in: the folder contained photographs and detailed records of every Unknown Lifeform encountered—Spider Gurongi, the porcupine Gurongi, the three strongest Gurongi, and more.
Ichijo turned to the last page.
All the viewers leaned forward.
Pinned there was a photograph: the bloody battle between the Ultimate Dark Kuuga and the King of Gurongi atop the snowy peak.
Beneath it, the record read:
[January 30, 2001 — Unknown Lifeform Zero (Daguba) and Kamen Rider Kuuga clashed in a brutal battle on Kurodake's snowy mountain.][Result: The King of Gurongi, Daguba, died after all nerves in his abdomen were destroyed.]
The three worlds erupted.
Daguba… dead.
And no entry marked the death of Unknown Lifeform No. 4, Kamen Rider Kuuga.
If Kuuga had fallen in that battle, the file would have noted it. The implication was clear: Su Yun was still alive. Kuuga had won.
Jubilation swept through the viewers.
Scenes sped by showing Su Yun's friends and family—smiling, reunited. The footage moved to the archaeology lab at Chengnan University, where Sawatari Sakurako—the past-life Water Goddess of Fontaine—entertained Ichijo.
The two icons, Furina's past and the Water Dragon King's past, stood together again. On her computer screen, Sakurako displayed the ancient prophecy.
"Officer Ichijo," she said with a soft smile, "I recently deciphered the final super-ancient prophecy. If the sacred spring dries up, a terrible warrior will appear—then the Golem Motorcycle Armor will turn to sand."
"As far as I know, the Golem Armor has been parked in the institute for three months and has not turned to dust."
Sakurako's expression softened as she thought of Su Yun.
"This means—even though Su Yun became a gruesome warrior and stepped into ultimate darkness—his kind heart has not vanished." She watched the blue sky through the open window. "Perhaps, when Su Yun finds his lost smile, he will return."
Hope filled her voice.
The camera cut to a golden beach: waves crashed, children laughed, and Su Yun lay on the sand, soaking in sunshine. He opened his eyes, raised a fist, and smiled.
Two lines of text appeared:
[Aren't ancient prophecies meant to be broken?][No prophecy can define a life. Life's meaning is to keep moving forward.]
The image froze. Su Yun's first past-life memory ended.
Across Teyvat, Honkai, and Star Rail, excitement exploded. Fontaine roared in celebration:
"Su Yun won! He defeated Daguba and he lives!""He deserves the heart of our Fontaine goddess!""Will the Su Yun of this life see his past and come to Fontaine?"
In Honkai, Alicia dabbed at her cheeks, embarrassed to be seen crying. On the Starry Sky train, the pink-haired Sanyueqi spun the conductor Paimon around in giddy celebration—until Paimon protested she was dizzy.
A preview caption then appeared:
[Su Yun's first past-life memory revealed — Kuga's past laid bare!][Su Yun's second past-life memory will be revealed tomorrow!][Preview — The world of Agito. Protagonists: Su Yun (Shoichi Tsugami), Manabu, Second Rider Glacier City, and The Black God (Archbishop Otto Apocalis).]
The screen faded, leaving three worlds buzzing with anticipation.
