Chapter 61 - Chapter 60: The Whole Village Is Cursing Danzo

The film's prologue slowly unfolded to the melodious tune of the theme song, "Transparent World."

On the big screen, a series of gripping clips began flashing rapidly.

These clips vividly showcased Pain's terrifying power and merciless nature, while foreshadowing the unprecedented crisis that was about to engulf Konoha Village.

The audience's emotions rose and fell with each tense scene.

As the song reached its climax, the image shifted—Naruto stood alone amidst the ruins of Konoha.

Facing the Six Paths of Pain, there was no fear or hesitation in his eyes—only unyielding determination shining like a flame.

The audience gripped their popcorn tightly, eyes glued to the screen, not daring to blink.

Their hearts raced with tension and anticipation.

Some whispered to their companions about what might happen next.

Others closed their eyes briefly, as if reliving the horror of that day—the roar of destruction, the cries of the wounded, the desperate struggle for survival.

As the theme song faded, the scene transitioned to a quiet forest.

The Six Paths of Pain stood gathered there.

Deva Path Pain raised his head and declared coldly, "From this moment on, let the world know Pain."

With a rush of air, Animal Path Pain soared into the sky, entering Konoha and summoning the other Pains.

Within moments, Konoha's streets filled with the sound of destruction.

Villagers screamed and fled, their faces etched with terror and despair.

At the Hokage's office, Tsunade quickly mobilized every remaining ninja to defend the village.

But facing Pain's overwhelming power, their defenses crumbled like paper.

Then, the camera cut to Danzo Shimura—hidden deep within Root headquarters, gathering his subordinates.

His cold, calculating eyes flickered in the dim light. A cruel, knowing smile curved on his lips.

The audience erupted in disgust.

Whispers of anger spread through the theater.

"Danzo?"

"Who's that old man with a cane?" a younger audience member asked, frowning.

"At a time like this, he's just standing by and doing nothing? That's pathetic."

"Typical," his friend muttered darkly. "Always scheming in the shadows."

Older ninjas in the audience clenched their fists, memories flooding back.

"That bastard Danzo," one of them growled. "He's always put his own ambition above the village's safety."

The scene shifted again—to the legendary fight between Kakashi and Deva Path Pain.

Gasps rippled through the crowd.

On-screen, Kakashi's Sharingan spun fiercely as he analyzed Pain's every move, lightning flashing around him like a storm.

Pain countered with overwhelming force—Shinra Tensei!—tearing through everything in his path.

But Kakashi met it head-on with Chidori, the two forces colliding with blinding light and deafening roars.

Every strike sent tremors through the theater.

Each time Kakashi narrowly dodged or countered, the audience erupted in cheers.

Yet when Pain's final attack landed, the cheers died instantly.

Kakashi collapsed to the ground—silent.

The theater fell quiet.

Someone whispered shakily, "He gave everything he had… Sixth Hokage-sama did his best."

Another sighed, "Only Seventh Hokage-sama could've beaten Pain."

The story pressed on.

On-screen, Konohamaru lured Naraka Path Pain into a trap using a Shadow Clone—then struck with a perfect Rasengan!

"I am Sarutobi Konohamaru of Konoha Village! Remember that name!" he shouted proudly.

The crowd went wild.

"Whoa! Sensei was already this awesome as a Genin?" Iwabe cheered, sitting with his classmates.

"Yeah," Shikadai nodded. "Even some Special Jonin couldn't beat Pain. Konohamaru-sensei's legit."

The movie continued, showing Deva Path Pain descending onto the Hokage Building.

"Where is Naruto Uzumaki?" he demanded coldly.

Tsunade stood before him, furious. "Our great nations have all suffered the same Pain!"

Pain's emotionless gaze lingered on her. Then, slowly, he rose into the sky.

The screen zoomed in on his face as he began to chant words no one expected:

"A bag of rice to carry up… how many floors…

A bag of rice to carry up two floors…

I gave too much rice… A bag of rice, oh, I washed it…"

The audience blinked in confusion.

"Wait, what?" someone whispered. "Did the real Pain say that?"

Boruto's classmates all turned to stare at him.

"Boruto… did you add that line?" Mitsuki whispered suspiciously.

Boruto just grinned.

On the screen, Pain continued his bizarre chant:

"A bag of rice, I washed so much mud… black tiles, broken tiles… each grain covered in mud… who gave you that bag of rice…"

Then—

"Alright, add water."

A flash of white light engulfed the screen.

BOOM!

Konoha was obliterated.

Buildings vanished. Dust and smoke filled the air.

The entire audience gasped as one.

Some even covered their mouths in shock, hearts pounding as the blinding explosion faded into silence.

Even those who had lived through that day felt their souls tremble all over again.

The Pain of the past—reawakened through the silver screen.
