"Uchiha weapon—today is the day you die!"
Senju Sekito, the clan leader, roared furiously. His voice echoed through the pounding rain.
"Today, I swear to avenge my brother and every clan member you slaughtered!"
Hikari narrowed her eyes slightly as raindrops slid down her pale cheeks.
She said nothing—only stared coldly at the enemies before her with an expression of utter indifference.
"Stop talking nonsense! Let's just take her down already!" A Sarutobi ninja shouted impatiently.
But despite his words, no one dared to make the first move.
They had gathered for a common goal, yet no one wanted to be the first to die.
The Uchiha weapon was like a blade hanging over their necks—something that had to be destroyed, but no one wanted to face directly.
They were all waiting for the Senju and Sarutobi elites to strike first… and then take advantage of the chaos.
Rumble!
A deafening crack of thunder shook the sky. A blinding bolt of lightning split through the clouds, announcing the beginning of a life-or-death battle.
Swish, swish, swish—
Weapons were drawn all around. Every shinobi stood ready.
The atmosphere was suffocating—so thick with killing intent that even the air felt frozen.
Lightning illuminated the countless blades, each glint of steel reflecting death.
Hikari took a slow breath and lifted her gaze toward the dark, swirling clouds above. Lightning flashed across her Mangekyō eyes, glowing like two crimson flames.
"If… I can survive today… Boruto… will you come back to my side?"
She stepped forward. Then another.
Her pace quickened—until, like an arrow loosed from its bow, she charged straight at the allied forces.
For many, this was their first time facing the Uchiha weapon in person. Even though her power had supposedly been sealed, an uncontrollable chill ran through every soldier's body.
"Attack!"
The shout tore through the storm like thunder.
"Fire Release: Great Fire Dragon Technique!"
"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!"
Huge fire dragons burst forth, twisting through the rain, their flames fanned higher by the wind. They roared toward Hikari, scorching the air itself.
"Susanoo!"
Hikari's voice rang calm and clear.
In an instant, a massive dark-red Susanoo flared into existence around her.
Boom!
The blazing fire dragons slammed into the Susanoo with explosive force.
The impact shook the battlefield, but the inferno couldn't leave so much as a scratch.
"Earth Release: Earth Wall!"
The Senju shinobi joined in, forming hand signs rapidly.
Thick walls of stone erupted from the muddy ground, trying to trap the Susanoo and restrict its movements.
Hikari's eyes narrowed.
The Susanoo's hands gripped two enormous scythes that gleamed crimson in the lightning.
With a single swing, she shattered the earth walls like glass.
Chunks of rock exploded outward. The ground split open under the sheer power of the attack.
Ninjas were torn apart mid-scream, their bodies shredded by the hurricane of energy.
Blood splattered across the rain-soaked battlefield.
"Ahhhh—!"
The screams were unbearable, echoing through the storm.
In that moment, human life looked as fragile as candlelight in the wind.
"Can we really… win this?"
A shinobi stammered, staring at the severed limbs scattered at his feet.
"Don't panic!" Senju Sekito bellowed, trying to steady his men. "She can't absorb our chakra anymore! Her reserves are limited! Keep attacking—she won't last much longer!"
He slammed his hands together.
"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!"
A massive water dragon erupted from the earth and spiraled toward Hikari.
The other ninjas followed suit—lightning, fire, and wind filling the stormy sky.
The battlefield became a chaotic swirl of elements—Ninjutsu colliding, exploding, and devouring everything in sight.
Inside her Susanoo, Hikari fought relentlessly.
Her twin scythes carved through jutsu and bodies alike.
Mud and blood mixed beneath her feet; the rain only made the red river flow faster.
More than half the allied forces had fallen.
The ground was littered with corpses, severed limbs, and shattered weapons.
The air reeked of iron and rain.
But Hikari herself was nearing her limit.
Blood tears streamed from her Mangekyō eyes.
Her breathing grew ragged. The Susanoo flickered and shrank until only the skeletal frame remained.
Even maintaining that took everything she had.
"She's almost done!" Senju Sekito laughed darkly. "Good thing she's still a child. If she ever reached adulthood, she'd be unstoppable."
He raised his sword, water chakra swirling around the blade.
"Water Release: Severing Blade!"
He swung down. The attack cut through the storm like a razor of pure water.
Hikari tried to move—but her body refused. She'd pushed herself far past her limits.
Boom!
The blade crashed into the Susanoo's last remnants. The skeletal armor shattered instantly, scattering into glowing fragments.
The impact sent Hikari flying. She hit the ground hard, rolling through mud and blood before coming to a stop.
Her long black hair was matted and soaked, her pink clothes torn and filthy.
Her Mangekyō had faded, and cold rain pelted her motionless body.
"Cough—"
She spat blood. Her body trembled. She could barely breathe, let alone stand.
"We won!"
Laughter broke out among the remaining allied forces.
They could already taste victory.
Senju Sekito walked toward her slowly, sword in hand, a cruel smile spreading across his face.
"Kill her! Kill the Uchiha weapon!" the soldiers shouted in unison.
"Don't blame me," Sekito sneered. "Blame your cursed bloodline! Brother, your death is avenged!"
He raised his blade high, aiming for her heart.
Hikari didn't move. Her face was calm, almost peaceful—only her tears betrayed her grief.
"Boruto… maybe… we'll never see each other again."
Her life flashed before her eyes—the moments she'd shared with him.
"I'm taking her with me. Let's see who dares to stop me!" Boruto's fierce words echoed in her mind.
"I just want to see him again," she whispered. "Just once…"
"Boruto!"
Her eyes snapped open.
The red skeletal Susanoo erupted back to life.
Clang!
Senju Sekito's sword smashed against it, sparks flying.
"She still has chakra?!" he shouted, stumbling back in shock.
Hikari slowly stood, clutching her chest, whispering through trembling lips—
"Boruto… I have to see you."
Meanwhile, deep within the Uchiha compound—
Uchiha Ran suddenly froze.
A glowing mark had appeared on the back of his hand.
"This… this is the Eight Thousand Spears mark! How is that possible?!"
Around him, other Uchiha members gasped as identical marks ignited on their skin.
These were the seals Hikari had placed before leaving the clan—
marks that never vanished, but instead lay dormant until the day of awakening.
Ran had thought they were gone forever.
He never knew they were waiting for this moment.
Chakra flared across the compound like a tidal wave—
countless blue streams of light shot into the sky, surging toward the battlefield.
And there, amidst the rain and destruction, those brilliant streams descended—
merging into Hikari's battered body.
Her eyes blazed open, lightning crackling around her.
Her hair whipped wildly in the storm as the ground trembled beneath her.
A storm of chakra burst outward—
and the Eight Thousand Spears had awakened.
