He sighed, then turned into a streak of yellow light, soaring further out over open ocean.
After a hundred kilometers, he stopped—hovering above the dark waves.

The sea exploded beneath him.
A colossal blue serpent lunged upward, fangs bared, jaws wide enough to swallow a ship whole.
Bai Hao's brows drew tight—he blinked away just as the monster's bite snapped shut on empty air.
"Osial? …No, that's his wife—Baijie, isn't it?"
He floated higher, chin resting on one hand as the ocean below churned into whirlpools.
Three enormous serpentine heads emerged from the depths, their scales glinting under flashes of lightning.
Osial was a five-headed elemental beast, but his wife—Baijie—still retained her biological form: a three-headed venomous serpent, no less terrifying for it.
"Figures. Even Osial has a wife. Meanwhile, I'm still single. Great."
The three heads glared up at him, eyes gleaming with malice.
Then—
"HSSSSHHHH—!!!"
All three serpents opened their jaws wide, spewing massive water cyclones that screamed up through the night sky, tearing Bai Hao's body apart in a furious blast.
For a moment, only a head, a hand, and a leg remained—golden light flickering around the severed edges.
But he didn't even flinch.
"Tch. Spraying me on our first meeting? Osial's wife sure likes it rough."
His eyes narrowed, irritation replacing his smirk.
He used to have a temper—a real one—but these days, he'd mellowed out.
Still, there was one rule he'd never break:
If someone sprays you—
You spray back.
He crossed his hands before his chest, fingers blooming with golden light.
"八尺琼勾玉!! — Yasakani no Magatama!"

Countless beams of golden energy rained from the heavens like a meteor storm.

Baijie howled, thrashing wildly as whirlpools swallowed the waves around her.
Dozens of giant waterspouts shot upward in retaliation—but Bai Hao's body, now elementalized, simply blinked through them untouched.
That was the beauty of a Logia-type ability—unless you had Seastone or advanced Haki, you couldn't touch him.
The storm raged for minutes.
By the end, Baijie was howling pitifully, three heads drooping, body bleeding into the sea.
The golden rain finally ceased.
The sea calmed—bloodied and steaming.
The once-fierce serpent now lay sprawled across the waves, lifeless as driftwood.

Baijie glared weakly up at Bai Hao, hissing one last curse—
then rolled over and slipped beneath the surface, disappearing into the depths.
Bai Hao crossed his arms, lips quirking.
"Tough hide for a sea monster. Fine, I'll let you off this time."
In Teyvat, gods didn't die easily anyway.
No point wasting energy.
He tilted his head.
"Though honestly, why the hell did she even attack me? What a dumb snake."
Shrugging, he decided it wasn't worth the brainpower.
The Yasakani no Magatama test was complete, and the local marine life had suffered enough.
With a gleam of gold, he turned back toward Liyue Harbor—
a streak of light slicing once again across the starry sky.
