The echoes of battle gradually faded, and the smoke over the battlefield slowly cleared, revealing scorched mountains and a desolate landscape. Nathan Hawk and Thor stood solemnly among the ruins.
John Walker, having transformed back from Kamen Rider Duke, returned to Nathan's side, removing his helmet to reveal his face. His expression was serious as he looked at Nathan.
"Boss, there's more to this battle than meets the eye. Three individuals were hiding in the shadows, observing everything."
Nathan nodded slightly, acknowledging the warning. Malekis's transformation had made him unusually wary of unseen dangers.
At that moment, the Invisible Man appeared before them.
"Are you saying someone has been orchestrating all this?" Thor asked immediately.
John Walker nodded. "Yes. I believe a far stronger force has been manipulating events from the shadows. The opponents we faced were merely executors. We need to stay alert."
As they discussed, the Invisible Man spoke up.
"Hey, boss, I just caught a glimpse of those three individuals."
Nathan's eyes narrowed. "Go on. Describe them."
The Invisible Man nodded, describing the three shadowy masterminds—their appearance, traits, and gender.
Thor scratched his head, confused. "Wheelchair? Robes? Battle armor?"
Nathan's expression darkened. He hadn't expected the situation to be this complex.
"Wheelchair… X-Men Professor?"
Nathan pondered the clues. Wheelchair and Professor X immediately brought the X-Men to mind—a team of mutants tasked with maintaining peace and justice. But he also knew Professor X was usually associated with coexistence, not aggression.
His mind turned to the Illuminati. Perhaps multiple versions existed, as different universes often contained their own variants. And he remembered America Chavez, who had entered his world after Doctor Strange 2. Could there be more than one Illuminati? Multiple universes, multiple versions…
Nathan considered the "Iron Boy" theory. Perhaps Professor X had an evil variant, and the robes and battle suits signified members of the Illuminati. Men in robes… this all made the situation increasingly complicated.
"This… is getting more and more complicated," Nathan murmured inwardly, his tone heavy with doubt.
Thor placed a hand on Nathan's shoulder, his gaze steady.
"Nathan, we can't let this distract us. No matter who's behind this, we must defend justice and safeguard the universe. Today's victory proves our strength and unity. Now, let's celebrate it!"
With that, Thor raised his hammer high. The Asgardian warriors cheered with him, celebrating their hard-won victory.
"Victory! Victory!" The chants echoed across the battlefield and the mountains. Even the tense scenes from moments ago were now filled with joy and relief.
News of the victory spread swiftly across Asgard. Heimdall led the Asgardians, dressed in magnificent attire, waving colorful banners. They lined up, ready to celebrate Nathan Hawk, Thor, and their team upon their triumphant return.
When Nathan, Thor, and the Asgardian warriors returned, the welcoming party raised their flags and banners in salute. Every Asgardian's face shone with pride and joy at the heroes' success.
Nathan and Thor's arrival ignited cheers and applause. People knelt before Thor, expressing respect and gratitude. In Asgard, Thor had become a living legend.
"Congratulations, Thor. You're growing into a truly just king," Nathan said.
"Hah!" Thor's voice boomed with excitement. This triumphant return was unlike any other.
Heimdall approached Nathan and Thor, his eyes filled with joy.
"Thor, Nathan Hawk, and your team—the warriors of Asgard—you are heroes. You have brought victory and protected our home. Today, we celebrate you! Let Asgard be filled with joy and laughter!"
Cheers erupted. Music and dancing began as the Asgardians threw a grand celebration, and the entire kingdom was alive with festivity.
Amid the celebration, Heimdall leaned close to Thor and whispered, "The King has awakened. You should go see him."
Thor froze, shocked. Learning of his father Odin's awakening, he felt both anxiety and urgency. He turned to Nathan and the team.
"Sorry, I have to attend to something important. Nathan, celebrate with the others—I'll return shortly."
Nathan smiled, understanding the gravity of Thor's responsibility. Thor left the celebrations and made his way to Odin's chambers.
Odin's chambers sat at the highest level of the Asgardian palace, grand and imposing, a symbol of Asgard's power and wisdom. Thor climbed the long staircase and approached the door.
He knocked lightly and heard a firm, commanding voice: "Enter."
Thor stepped into the room. The space radiated mystery; intricate murals adorned the walls, depicting the history and glory of Asgard.
At the center, King Odin sat upon a golden throne. He wore an elaborate, ancient robe, a silver hood atop his head. His long hair and beard shimmered like threads of silver. One eye was covered by a patch, the other sharp and piercing.
Thor approached steadily and knelt, showing deep respect to the father he admired so much.
"Father, you summoned me. What is it you wish of me?" Thor asked humbly.
Odin's voice was both commanding and gentle. He gestured for Thor to rise.
"Thor, my son, your victory is renowned across the realms. You have won triumphs for Asgard and brought peace to the universe. You are my pride, and the pride of all Asgard."
Thor felt immense pride at his father's praise. Odin's words were rare and reserved, making this acknowledgment a tremendous honor.
"But now, my son, we must discuss a grave matter. The recent battle has revealed troubling clues—it seems someone has been manipulating events from behind the scenes."
"Father…"
Thor did not yet know what Odin knew. He nodded, a hint of worry in his expression. He understood: they needed to investigate and uncover the mastermind to ensure the universe's safety.
Odin continued: "These are perilous times. We must remain vigilant, trace the hidden hand, and you must work alongside Nathan Hawk and his team. They are powerful allies."
Thor replied solemnly, "Yes, Father. I will do my utmost. Nathan and I are close allies. And I will not fail in tracking the shadow behind these events, ensuring the peace of the universe."
Odin nodded with approval, then added, "Regarding Loki, you must pay closer attention to his movements." His face carried a trace of loneliness. Loki—and…
Thor's expression turned somber. Both father and son thought of two women: one a wife, the other a mother.
"Father, I will monitor Loki closely. Whatever happens, I will protect Asgard and the universe." Thor's voice was resolute, a faint, confident smile on his lips.
Odin returned the smile, eyes full of love and sorrow.
"You have grown." He saw his son as a just and powerful warrior, a worthy future ruler.
"Good. Thor, you are my pride and the pride of Asgard. Now, enjoy your moment of victory and celebrate your achievements."
Thor bowed deeply, then turned and left Odin's chambers, his heart full of responsibility and determination.
Back in his own room, Thor retrieved the Reality Stone, its mysterious energy pulsing like a distant star.
A determination for greater power filled him. He knew threats in the universe were endless. As Asgard's protector, he had to become stronger to safeguard everything he cherished.
Yet such power came with risks. The Reality Stone was dangerous, capable of altering one's very nature. Thor knew the peril, yet he accepted it.
"For Asgard," he whispered.
Closing his eyes, he immersed himself in the stone's energy. A torrent of force surged around him, infusing him with unimaginable power.
In his mind, he saw those he cherished: his father, Loki, his friends, and the people of Asgard. He swore to protect them, never letting them be threatened again.
But as the power grew, Thor also felt the stone testing his will—a force impulsive and overwhelming, seeking to corrupt and alter his nature.
Thor slowly opened his eyes, stopping the flow of the stone's power.
"Patience… there's still time," he murmured.
He resolved to wield this power for justice, not allow it to consume him.
"I swear, no matter what comes, I will protect all that I love, to the very end."
