"Loki, your evil deeds will be punished," Thor's voice was filled with determination and fury. "You'd better surrender and come back to Asgard with me."
Loki stared at Thor with a look of disdain and mockery in his eyes. "Thor, you will never understand my ideals or my purpose. Your so-called justice is just an illusion. I am the one destined to rule."
"Your rule will only bring chaos and destruction. I will stop you," Thor replied coldly, gripping Mjolnir tightly, ready to deliver his final strike.
Loki sneered, suddenly breaking free from the wall restraints. He moved swiftly, trying to dodge Thor's attacks. His movements were as agile as a hunting leopard—every dodge precise, every feint perfectly timed, making Thor's blows miss by inches.
Thor didn't rush. He pursued Loki relentlessly, swinging his hammer with ferocious power, lightning crackling around him. His attacks were wild and destructive, but Loki's agility allowed him to evade each one at the last moment.
Loki calmly analyzed Thor's movements, searching for a weakness. His eyes gleamed with cunning and intelligence. He knew he couldn't win in direct combat—only strategy and deception could lead him to victory.
Suddenly, Loki unleashed a flurry of illusions, confusing Thor's vision. His figure flickered across the hall, sometimes feinting, sometimes vanishing entirely, turning the battlefield into a maze of mirages.
Though Thor was immensely powerful, Loki's magic frustrated him. His blows struck empty air again and again, sometimes grazing Loki's cloak, sometimes missing entirely. Loki's sorcery amplified his advantage, leaving Thor struggling to land a decisive hit.
Spotting an opening, Loki lunged forward and drove his fist hard into Thor's chest. The impact sent Thor flying backward, slamming into the far wall, shaking the entire hall.
Loki didn't give him a chance to recover. He charged in with a storm of punches and kicks, his attacks raining down like a tempest.
"Your attacks… only tickle."
Lightning exploded around Thor's body as his divine power surged. He broke through the barrage and countered with explosive force.
A burst of thunderous energy radiated from him, slowing Loki's movements for just a second—and in that instant—
Thor's hammer-wrapped fist, blazing with lightning, struck Loki squarely, sending him crashing into a wall and leaving a massive hole.
Both brothers looked battered and exhausted, but their eyes burned with unyielding resolve. The stage was set for their final confrontation—only one would remain standing.
Thor struggled to his feet, his body covered in wounds, but his eyes still shone with determination. He looked down at Loki, lying on the ground, a storm of emotion rising in his heart.
"Loki… we were once brothers who could do anything together. We fought side by side through countless battles and adventures. Why did you have to walk this dark path, betraying the ones who loved you most?" Thor's voice carried both sorrow and confusion.
Loki slowly stood, his face cold and distant, a hint of mockery in his eyes. Memories of his past with Thor flashed through his mind—their duels, their rivalry, their bond.
"Thor, you're blinded by your so-called justice and strength. You'll never understand. A true king seeks power above all. The throne means endless dominion and control. I only wish to see my enemies kneel before me and beg for mercy."
Hearing this, sorrow and disappointment flickered in Thor's eyes. He finally understood that he and Loki viewed the throne in completely different ways.
"Loki, you crave war and conquest, but you don't see that war only brings pain and destruction. I used to be like you—fighting for glory and battle's thrill—but now I understand peace and justice matter more. I don't want to conquer—I want to protect. I want to bring hope and safety to those who need it."
Loki sneered, his expression filled with contempt. He saw Thor's beliefs as weakness—pathetic and naïve.
"Thor, your foolishness and cowardice disgust me. You're nothing more than a naïve warrior without the insight or vision of a true ruler. I'll show you my power and prove who the real king is."
Despite Loki's mockery, Thor's heart still held concern for his brother. He hoped Loki could abandon his path of destruction. He was even willing to plead with Odin for forgiveness—to give Loki a chance at redemption.
"Loki, I know you've lost your way, but I believe there's still good in you. Please, let go of this madness. I'll ask Father to forgive you—to give you a new beginning."
Loki looked at Thor coldly, not believing a word. To him, power and dominion were the only truths that mattered.
"Thor, your delusions will be your downfall. Your kindness and mercy will make you my victim. I don't need your pity—I only need your submission."
The tension between them grew heavy, the air thick with killing intent. Their ideals, their views on kingship, and their feelings for each other clashed violently. One battle would decide who would stand victorious—and who would fall into the abyss.
Boom!
As they faced off, their auras colliding, a sudden burst of light erupted from the top of Vanko Tech Tower.
"Loki…" Thor's energy began to fade.
"Hah…" Loki could no longer hold on. His legs gave out, and he fell to the ground.
The portal above Vanko Tower disappeared—Loki's plan had failed. Thor rushed to his brother's side, helping him up.
"Loki, are you alright?" Thor asked with genuine concern.
Loki gave a weak, bitter smile, his eyes filled with exhaustion.
"Thor, you always save me—even after all my betrayals, you still reach out your hand. I appreciate it, but our paths are different now. I can't change what I believe in. I will keep chasing power and dominion."
Thor nodded silently. He knew he couldn't change Loki's heart—but he still hoped his brother would one day find peace.
"Loki, though we've chosen different paths, I hope you find your true purpose. If you ever need me, I'll be there. For now… our battle is over."
Loki looked at Thor, emotion flickering in his eyes.
"Thor, perhaps we're destined to be enemies… but you'll always be my brother. Thank you for your patience and understanding. May our paths never cross again—but may our brotherhood live on."
Smack! Thor clapped him on the shoulder, almost knocking him over again.
"Damn it, be gentle!" Loki hissed in pain.
Covered in dust, Thor grinned brightly. "You'd better come back with me and explain everything to Father—especially your little partnership with the Chitauri. Oh, and whether or not you met Thanos."
Loki sighed and shook his head with a bitter smile. He knew he couldn't escape Thor—or Odin's judgment—this time.
The war was finally over.
Knowing it was his brother's mess that caused all this chaos, Thor didn't dare face the Avengers again. Instead, he went to find Nathan Hawke.
"Wow, you two look filthy," Nathan teased, raising an eyebrow.
"Nathan, I need your help," Thor said awkwardly.
Nathan raised his hands, then lowered them again. "I get it, I get it. You want me to clean up your mess—again?"
Thor chuckled sheepishly. "Heh, heh, yeah…"
"Alright," Nathan sighed. "But you always manage to bring me more trouble every time you visit."
"Fine, fine! Next time I'll bring you a bottle of Asgardian wine, deal?" Thor said with a grin, hands on his hips.
