Chapter 6 - The Offer

I walked out of the arena and I saw a tall female dark elf that was standing outside a carriage that was made of dark purple wood which was only grown in the dark region of the world. The carriage was also drawn by a pair of dark unicorns.

The dark elf was wearing a full set of iron armor that had been dyed dark purple. Her hair was long and wavy it almost hypnotized me as I looked at her, she stood right by the door of the carriage and she bowed to me as I approached her.

"I have been sent here to fetch you for the master if you have chosen to accept his offer".

"Yes, I have decided to at least hear what it is that he has to offer if I were to accept it," I told her as I stood right by her.

"Okay then you can get into the carriage, and it will bring you to his estate." She said to me as she got into the carriage but left the door open.

I got into the carriage and closed the door behind me.

The inside of it was all colored black with black furniture and rugs. I truly did not know if I should be concerned with the clear obsession that the dark region had with coloring a lot of their things black.

As soon as I closed the door and sat down inside the carriage the dark elf knocked twice on the wall behind her and I saw a magical circle appear around the entire carriage.

It did not take very long for the white light that was surrounding me to vanish, and as it did, I noticed that I was inside a section of a castle that was outside and it almost matched Carvis castle's look except for the color. While Carvis' castle was mostly black this one was mostly colored with a dark purple paint.

"We have arrived". She said to me as she opened the door and walked outside.

I got out of the carriage and it moved away as soon as I did.

Then the female dark elf started to walk towards the castle with an aura of confidence as if she knew where it was, she was taking me.

This castle was a lot darker than Carvis' castle was. There were no trees of any kind within my line of sight. I found this to be a bit overwhelming because the trees that I had grown accustomed to seeing had all been replaced with massive metal statues of dragons that seemed to move their eyes with my movement.

The dragon statues knelt at the female dark elf as she passed them as if she were their master. The thought of that

"Why are the dragon statues bowing at you as you walk by them?"

She did not answer me and she followed the main pathway to the magical elevator that was at the end of the hallway.

Even though I wanted her to answer me I did not think that I was in any position to demand things of her at this moment. Due to this I chose to remain silent and follow her into the magical elevator.

This magical elevator was quite different than the one that Carvis used because it started moving almost instantly without me having to picture the image of where I wanted to go inside my mind to start it.

I waited as the elevator moved to a new floor and the door opened up and I saw a hallway with a picture on the wall that followed the same pattern as Carvis' castle with males against the left wall, and females against the right wall.

When I made it to the end of the hallway, I saw one thing that was different about this castle. The picture of the wife of the current ruler of the castle was not empty. I saw a painting of the wife and it matched the female dark elf that was guiding me to the master of the castle.

Now I know why the statues of the dragons were bowing at her as she made her way past them; this was because she is the wife of the current master.

At the end of the hallway, there were two smaller dragon statues guarding a massive double door.

The lady of the castle opened the left door and waved at me to follow her I did.

As I walked through the open door, I was overwhelmed at how massive this room was.

The room had massive stone columns that were painted the same purple color as the outside of the castle. Hanging from the interior sides of each of the columns I saw white banners that had logos that made the one from the letter I had just read. There was also a scarlet red carpet with diamonds embedded along the borders.

When I made it to the end of the room, I saw a pair of massive iron thrones that matched each other in every way. The left throne was empty, and the right one had a devil in it that almost looked identical to Carvis. The only major difference was that he had no horns.

"I have brought her to you as you requested my love." She said as she sat down in the vacant throne.

"Hello Syndrell; I am glad to see that you have decided to accept my offer. Now let's get down to exactly what it is that I have to offer you.

This offer was actually arranged by my older brother in case of his death or disappearance. He has written instructions on what it is I am to do.

The offer is an offer to have you attend school at The Magical Academy of the Dark Arts. This elite school only accepts the best beings as its students. My brother ensured that you would have the chance to get your revenge on the people who betrayed you.

However; I have added a condition that may make this quite the challenge for you to get what it is that you want. My personal condition is that I will require you to become the best student in the entire school. If you do then when you graduate the dark region will recognize you as a master of magic, and you will earn a title for yourself. With this tile comes a significant boost to your power". He said to me before he got out of his throne and looked me eye to the eye.

I began to think about what Carvis had offered me, and then thought about this condition that Strovose had told me about. I could go to school, and learn that way or I could teach myself while on the streets by myself.

It became quite clear to me that my choices were quite limited at the moment. Due to that my only good option was clear as a day in the neutral region. I was going to accept the offer that Carvis had given me no matter what the conditions would be.

"I will accept this offer in revenge. On this day I am making a blood vow that when I am done with my time at this school, I will be the most powerful magic user of my generation. Then I will kill the being that killed Carvis, and break into The Neutral Zone". I said as I cut my right wrist with the edge of my staff, and used my blood magic skills to make a small magic circle on the back of my right hand.

"Good to know that you are going to take this seriously. Follow me to the carriage and I will enroll you in the school. We have no time to lose because your classes will begin tomorrow."
