Amelia's heart was still racing as she shut the hidden door behind her. The whisper — "Welcome Back Amelia" — still echoed faintly in her ears.
For a Movement she stood there , trying to calm her breath.
She was nervous and felt like she could even hear the sound of her heartbeat.
Thud !
She heard some sounds from outside. Her Pulse quickened and she tiptoed towards the window while trying to not make any sound.
When she looked outside she saw that some clouds had hidden the sun .
The garden looked as beautiful as before with the flowers she and her grandmother had planted together but there were some blue light balls moving in the garden.
" .....what?" She whispered.
Before She could take a closer look a sudden gust of wind rattled the window .Her old lamp trembled , then stilled .
Her locket started to feel a bit warm against her chest.
"Alright, Amelia" She murmured nervously.
"You're loosing it "
She started to back away from the window.
Suddenly she saw that one of blue light ball came from the window.
She closed her eyes in fear and froze .
As if sensing her fear the light ball backed away and she heard a childlike voice.
"Don't be afraid "
She slowly opened her eyes and saw that a fairy like winged tiny glowing creature was there looking impossibly real.
Fairy creature said " You are wearing the protector locket"
"But.... you are not her" She looked confused.
Amelia felt better she blinked and said
"You mean my grandmother "
"It's my grandmother's locket "
The creature flinched at her words as if filled with hope and sorrow
"She was supposed to return before the veil broke "
".veil?"
The creatures wings twiched and went to the window.
" They can't know you opened the box yet"
" It's too soon not before your 18th birthday "
"Hide the light"
She said softly.
Then she darted towards the window leaving a faint light.
Amelia stood frozen for a Moment
Staring at the garden .
For a Moment she could swear she saw a fairy.
Crash ! Her vase broke.
She jumped And came to her senses a bit frightened, stunned and looked around.
"What in the world just happened now!!"
