Chapter 56 - Chapter 55: Ethen in Crisis? Watch-Loving, Owner-Protection Mode Activated!

Boom!

A blazing meteor tore through the sky and slammed into the ground, shaking the forest with a thunderous explosion. Trees were uprooted, and shockwaves rippled through the air.

Ethen, Princess Vine, Grandpa Max, and the others sprinted toward the crash site.

In the middle of a smoking crater lay a massive crimson meteor, still sizzling from re-entry.

Snap! Snap!

Tentacles burst from its cracked surface, writhing into the open air. Then, with a deafening crack, the meteor split apart—revealing a monstrous, dark-purple insectoid alien within.

"What… is that thing?" Ethen muttered, eyes narrowing.

Feedback clenched his fists. "I'll go check it out!" He curled into a ball and rolled straight toward the crater.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The creature slammed its tentacles into the ground, burrowing deep like roots. Its enormous, tendril-filled maw devoured the surrounding earth, draining energy from everything it touched.

"This is… the Supreme King!" Princess Vine gasped, her expression darkening. "A cosmic parasite capable of draining an entire planet's life force in minutes!"

"Supreme King, huh?" Ethen's jaw tightened, and a cold grin spread across his face. "Any 'king' who sets foot on Earth gets dethroned by me."

Before anyone could respond, a spaceship descended through the smoke. Its hatch opened, and three aliens floated down on circular hoverboards.

The one in front—a humanoid wearing flowing white robes and glowing blue eyes—spoke in a calm, chilling voice.

"Herblana, the Supreme King has awakened. All who stand in his way… will be destroyed."

"How can you even hear us from up there?" Feedback shouted.

The white-robed alien tilted his head. "We hear what we need to. You, however, won't hear anything once the Supreme King consumes this world."

Beside him, a burly alien hefted a massive axe and glared directly at Princess Vine. "I'll deal with the plant girl myself."

At that moment, the system's voice echoed in Ethen's mind:

[Ding! Mission generated: "Three Followers of the Supreme King."]

Objective: Defeat the three followers to prevent planetary destruction.

Reward: 15 points.

Ethen smirked. "Challenge accepted."

Without hesitation, Princess Vine lashed out, her vines whipping toward the axe-wielder.

He met her strike head-on. "Break, little vine!"

Clang!

The axe and vines collided, locked in a violent struggle.

Princess Vine's eyes narrowed as thick roots spiraled up her arms, bulging with strength. With one mighty swing, she sent the axe flying backward.

Bang!

At the same time, Feedback charged the white-robed alien with an electric tackle—but his attack was deflected by a glowing blue energy barrier.

Meanwhile, a smaller six-armed alien zipped down from his hoverboard and pointed at Ethen. "You the boss around here? Then fight me yourself!"

Ethen cracked his knuckles. "Gladly."

He leapt into the crater, landing with enough force to shake the ground. The alien lunged—but Ethen scooped up a fistful of dirt and hurled it straight into his opponent's face.

"Ugh—dirt?!" the alien yelped.

Ethen didn't waste a second. He grabbed the alien and launched a flurry of punches.

"Ahhh! Stop hitting me!" the alien screamed, shielding his head.

Grandpa Max blinked in disbelief. "Ethen really is a Legendary Plumber… he can turn mud into a weapon!"

Suddenly, Gwen's voice pierced the air. "Grandpa! Look out!"

The ground beneath them cracked open as giant withered tendrils erupted from below. They coiled around Ethen and the six-armed alien, dragging them down into the pit.

"What's happening?!" Ethen struggled, but the plant-like binds tightened like iron cables.

"The Supreme King is awakening!" the trapped alien shouted, panicked. "Once it starts draining energy, it'll take control of the planet itself!"

Ethen's expression hardened.

Princess Vine sensed the danger and dove into the pit, vines lashing out. Feedback rolled in behind her, sparks flying. Grandpa Max joined them, shouting for Gwen to stay back.

The white-robed alien and the axe-wielder smirked—until they realized the six-armed alien, their ally, was also trapped.

"Serves you right," Ethen muttered through gritted teeth.

Princess Vine smashed through the withered vines with a series of sharp blows, while Feedback blasted away chunks of earth. But the creature's power kept growing, its energy surging like a black tide.

"Enough!" Ethen roared. "If you're willing to risk your lives for me, then I'll do the same for you!"

He stopped struggling, letting the vines tighten—then slammed his hand onto the Love Watch.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

A burst of unstable pink energy erupted from the device, blasting outward with unimaginable force. The pit glowed as wave after wave of radiant energy shattered the tendrils, shaking the entire forest.

Princess Vine's eyes widened. "Wait… that signal—he's activating the Watch's owner-protection mode! All the forms are responding!"

A tsunami of pink light flooded the crater. From within the glow, several familiar silhouettes appeared—feminine, powerful, and furious.

The light faded.

Standing around Ethen were Flame Girl, Ghost Girl, Speed Woman, and even a female version of Way Big—each radiating power and attitude.

Flame Girl cracked her knuckles. "Who are you creeps supposed to be?"

Speed Woman zipped past the enemies in a flash, her eyes burning with challenge. "Guess we're doing this the hard way."

The female Way Big slammed her fists together, shaking the ground. "No one threatens our host!"

Ethen blinked in disbelief. "…The Watch's protection mode summons all the female aliens?"

Before he could finish the thought, a pained voice called out.

"Next time, don't summon me in daylight!" Ghost Girl snapped, rushing into his arms, her outfit still smoking from sunlight burns.

Ethen caught her gently, guilt flashing in his eyes. "Sorry, sorry. My bad."

The battlefield fell silent for a moment as the dust cleared.

All eyes turned toward Ethen—now surrounded by his army of fierce, glowing alien heroines.

The forest trembled under their combined power.

The Supreme King had awakened.

And the Love Watch had chosen to protect its owner—at any cost.
