"Arrogant fool! Today, I'll show you what it means to face a Demon God!"
The Chi Dragon raised its head and let out a thunderous roar, its battle robe rippling as divine might swept across the heavens like a storm.
"Wood Release— "
"Flowering Grove Descent!"
Jiang Yan descended before the Thousand Rock Army, pressing one palm firmly to the ground.
In an instant, countless trees burst from the earth, growing wildly until a towering forest enveloped the Chi Dragon completely.
Within the forest, flower buds bloomed in unison, releasing a faint haze of pollen.
Vines thick as spears whipped forth, lashing toward the dragon from all directions.
"All troops, fall back!" Jiang Yan commanded. "This is a battle between gods!"
Their mission was already complete. To remain here now would only mean being caught in the storm that was to come.
"Hmph. Interesting trick—but far from enough!"
The sudden emergence of the forest made the Chi Dragon's lips curl into a cold smile.
Some of the drifting pollen entered its body, momentarily clouding its mind—
but that faint daze was quickly burned away by its divine power.
"You think something like this could hinder me?"
"Demonic Breath of Chi!"
A wave of corrosive breath erupted from its maw, and wherever it touched, the mighty trees withered and blackened, collapsing into dust.
Jiang Yan's expression hardened. His hands came together in a seal.
"Wood Release— "
"Wood Dragon Technique!"
From the depths of the forest, countless trees twisted and merged, transforming into massive Wood Dragons that roared as they lunged toward the Chi Dragon.
The dragon leapt skyward, its divine robe shredding apart as its true form—a colossal evil dragon—burst into the open sky.
"Azure Waters Overwhelm the Heavens!"
A flood of surging blue water gushed forth, sweeping across the land, shattering the Wood Dragons in an instant.
Yet when the torrent struck the dense forest barrier, it failed to break through.
"Wood Release— Wood Golem Technique!"
"Wood Release— Fourfold Binding Hands!"
At Jiang Yan's incantation, four enormous hands erupted from the ground, closing in from all directions to seize the Chi Dragon.
Simultaneously, a gigantic wooden titan emerged from the forest, roaring as it swung a massive fist straight at the dragon's head.
Wood Dragons coiled around the golem's arms, striking in tandem.
"Get out of my sight!"
The Chi Dragon's face twisted in fury. Its serpentine body coiled and spun, generating a violent shockwave that shattered the four wooden hands instantly.
Even the Wood Golem was thrown back several dozen meters by the force.
Jiang Yan leapt onto the golem's head, standing tall as he faced the Chi Dragon from afar.
"Not bad, boy. You've hidden your power well!"
"You actually possess strength that can rival a Demon God!"
The Chi Dragon's breath came harsh and uneven, its eyes filled with venomous cold.
Jiang Yan crossed his arms calmly.
"Chi, will you admit defeat?"
"Defeat?" The Chi Dragon gave a low, sinister laugh. "You're still far from it!"
Dark energy surged around its body, demonic power flooding the sky.
Then it bellowed:
"God of Dreams! If not now, then when?!"
"You think when this brat grows stronger he'll let you live?"
Jiang Yan's face changed. His Observation Haki (perception sense) screamed in alarm—
He instinctively ducked, just as a beam of crimson light tore through the air where his head had been a heartbeat earlier.
"Chi, to think a mighty Demon God would be driven to such a state by a mere boy," a soft, sultry voice rang out behind Jiang Yan.
"What a disgrace…"
A swirl of iridescent light shimmered, revealing the sensuous figure of the God of Dreams herself—her every movement carrying dangerous allure.
At the same time, from not far away, the retreating Thousand Rock Army suddenly erupted in shouts of alarm.
"Enemy attack!"
"All units, form battle lines!"
Exhausted and bloodstained, the Thousand Rock soldiers had barely begun their withdrawal when they were struck by a sudden ambush—
the Yaksha Clan, enslaved by the God of Dreams's power, descending upon them like maddened beasts.
The yakshas attacked with suicidal ferocity, their eyes empty, their minds consumed by madness.
Jiang Yan rose slowly, his face dark and grim.
He was surrounded—two Demon Gods, one before and one behind.
From afar, the demon gods watching the battle sighed in pity.
"This youth... he's finished."
But just then, the skies above darkened with storm clouds.
A blinding golden light cleaved through the gloom—
Heavenly stars rained down from the heavens, crashing toward the God of Dreams like divine meteors, followed by countless stone spears hurtling from the sky.
On the ground behind the Thousand Rock Army, the earth itself convulsed—
and a massive Stone Dragon erupted from the soil, slamming down before the soldiers.
With a thunderous roar, lightning and fire erupted from its jaws, forcing the Yaksha horde to retreat in terror.
"Well, well... it seems some people just couldn't stay idle~"
The God of Dreams's figure blurred as she waved her hand, shattering the falling stars with a surge of divine energy.
Two streaks of light cut through the air, descending side by side.
A calm yet commanding voice resounded across the battlefield:
"Two renowned Demon Gods—ganging up on a single junior? What a fine sight that must be."
"Did you really think Guili Plains was undefended?"
A tall figure in white-and-gold battle armor appeared beside Jiang Yan, his Vortex Spear gleaming with lethal brilliance.
Having completed the rear-line deployments, Morax, unwilling to rest easy, had come with Dragon King Azhdaha' companion—Azhdaha, the Lord of Vishaps—to watch the battle from afar.
When the God of Dreams dared to interfere,
Morax naturally could not sit idly by.
"You finally showed yourself," the Chi Dragon growled, his eyes filled with bitter hatred.
"Morax!!"
