Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The Pure Love Warrior’s Stealth Rescue!

Nanao Akane.

Originally a member of the swimming club, her skills were decent but not standout. As her body matured, her impressive bust—two handfuls of "odd-sized greatness"—became more burden than boon.

Knowing her limits, Akane quit swimming.

She didn't end up in the "go-home club," though. Instead, she joined the baseball team as their manager.

Akane chose baseball not for some hot-blooded dream of dominating Koshien.

It was for a boy.

Katamori Shono, her classmate.

She first spotted him after the school opening ceremony. Fresh off quitting swimming, she was drifting through lazy days.

Passing the field, she saw Shono—the benchwarmer—practicing late into the evening.

That's when she decided to join baseball club.

Over time, she fell for the dedicated member, Shono.

She sensed he liked her back, but the coach banned intra-club dating. So they promised: After the big tournament ends, we'll be official.

Young love couldn't wait forever, though. Moments of longing snuck in.

Like yesterday.

The coach sent Shono and Akane to fetch equipment from the sports shed to the field.

Alone in the dim warehouse, Shono whispered her name: "Akane."

During club hours, they avoided nicknames for appearances' sake, sticking to "classmate."

But yesterday, Shono couldn't hold back. He wrapped his arms around her slender waist…

Then—disaster.

The door swung open.

Coach Higashi stood there, witnessing it all.

After school, Akane and Shono apologized together. Higashi let them off without a word, but Akane had a bad feeling.

Today, it came true.

Higashi wasn't just the baseball coach—he taught P.E. for Class 2-B.

Calling her to the shed during class? Nothing good.

Still, she couldn't defy a teacher. She followed him.

The warehouse was a mess: gear piled haphazardly, dust choking the air.

Dim light filtered through high windows.

Akane had been here countless times, but today? A chill crawled her skin, nausea rising.

Higashi's rep was trash.

Talented coach, great at developing players—but rumors swirled of scandals that ended his pro career, landing him here.

Scandals involving harassing women.

Akane hated the gossip, but it seemed true…

Inside, Higashi stopped, plopping onto stacked mats. He crossed his legs, eyes raking her up and down.

They lingered on her prominent chest.

Akane hugged herself, arms shielding. "W-What do you need?"

"Nanao, how about some private coaching from your teacher?" Higashi sidestepped.

"Huh?"

"I know about you and Katamori. Young folks' urges run wild, so until summer ends… I'll teach you how to relieve them." He smirked, spreading his legs.

Akane knew exactly what he meant by "relieve."

She took a deep breath, glaring like he was garbage. "I misjudged you. I'll tell the other teachers."

Higashi shrugged, unfazed. "Fine by me… but you'll ditch Katamori?"

"What?"

"If I get canned, a new coach comes… I picked Katamori for defense strategy. Another coach? They'd go with hitter powerhouse Tabata. Katamori fought tooth and nail for that starting spot… Losing it would crush him, right?"

He phrased it as a question, but his tone was fact.

Akane shuddered.

She knew Shono's grind better than anyone.

Last to leave practice every day. Training brutal, but he always overdelivered.

Shono loved baseball, burning with Koshien dreams.

Stripped of his starting role? Dreams shattered? Shono would…

Akane's knees twisted, chest heaving.

Higashi leaned back, smug, ready to seal it.

"Nanao-san, you don't want Katamori to lose—"

Creak. The door opened.

Higashi blinked.

Only 2-B had P.E. now—he'd left it unlocked, figuring no interruptions. Who…?

He gritted his teeth but stood. Better safe—Akane's defenses were crumbling anyway. As club manager, he'd summon her to the office after school… heh.

He sneered, turning to berate the intruder.

Before he could speak—

Akane saw a boy silhouetted against the doorway light, leaning casually. "Sensei, I recorded everything."

"!?" Higashi froze, then laughed it off. "What're you on about?"

"What you just said to Nanao-san."

The boy grinned, stepping forward, waggling a finger. "All recorded… Sensei, you don't want this harassment getting out, right? Heh heh heh…"

"Tch!"

Higashi clicked his tongue, eyes turning feral. "What's your name?! Which class?!"

The boy bowed gentlemanly, then sang out his intro like a performer.

"None other than Shirao High second-year, Class F—Anji Seiji's bro, Kobayashi Satoru."
