Chapter 56 - CHAPTER 56

The glass door slammed open.

So hard the walls vibrated.

Sienna didn't flinch. But Cyrus felt her hand tighten in his like a reflex that lived deeper than choice.

Her mother walked in first.

Perfect posture. Perfect hair. Perfect smile.

Like she was stepping into a photoshoot, not a warzone.

"Well," she said smoothly, eyes sweeping the room, landing on Sienna. "You made quite the entrance."

Behind her came her father. Quieter.

Colder.

His gaze went straight to Cyrus.

Sharp. Measuring.

Like he was calculating how to kill something without lifting a hand.

"I wondered how long it would take you to crawl back," her mother said, folding her arms. "It was rude of you to disappear without saying goodbye."

Sienna finally let go of Cyrus's hand.

Slowly.

Dangerously.

"You lost the right to call me rude a very long time ago."

Her mother's smile sharpened.

"Oh sweetheart, we didn't lose you. We corrected you."

The air snapped.

Cyrus moved subtly closer to Sienna's side.

Her father spoke for the first time.

"I see you brought your little shield," he said, eyes flicking to Cyrus. "Is he aware he's disposable?"

Cyrus smiled like he'd been waiting for permission to be unhinged.

"Very," he replied lightly. "He just doesn't care."

Silence.

Tension pulled tight like a wire about to snap.

Sienna stepped forward.

"You don't get to stand in my office and rewrite what you did."

Her mother tilted her head. "Your office?"

She tapped the glass wall gently with one manicured nail.

"The board voted you out. The evidence was very convincing."

That word.

Evidence.

Sienna felt it hit her spine.

"Where is it?" she asked quietly.

Her father stepped forward, placing a thin folder on the desk.

Slide.

"Take a look," he said. "You always liked facts, didn't you?"

She opened it.

Her breath left her lungs. Photos. Bank transfers. Emails.

Her name. Her signature. Forgery. Perfect.

Cyrus swore under his breath.

Her mother leaned closer.

"You were made to look… unstable. Financially irresponsible. Emotionally compromised."

Sienna's hands started to shake.

Her mother whispered, almost kindly:

"No one wants a broken girl in charge."

The room went dead silent.

Cyrus stepped forward instantly.

"That's enough." Her father turned to him.

"This is family business."

Cyrus didn't back down. "She's my family." That landed.

Sienna closed the folder slowly.

Her voice was different now. Colder. Clearer.

"You forged everything."

Her mother shrugged. "We protected the company."

Sienna laughed. It wasn't soft. It wasn't kind.

It was sharp enough to cut.

"You didn't protect it," she said. "You made an enemy."

She turned to Cyrus.

And for a moment, he saw something dangerous in her eyes.

Something awake.

"Call Damien."

Silence.

Her parents froze.

Her father's jaw tightened.

Her mother's smile flickered.

Just slightly.

Cyrus lifted a brow. "You're sure?"

She nodded.

Cyrus pulled out his phone.

Dialed.

Put it on speaker.

It rang once.

Twice.

Click.

Damiems voice filled the room.

"is there a problem sir?"

Sienna stepped closer to the phone.

"Yes." A pause.

A breath.

"I was hoping you'd finally do what you wnated to do."

Her parents exchanged a look.

Something like fear. Real fear.

Sienna straightened.

"This isn't a request anymore," she said. "This is a war."

From the phone, Damien chuckled softly.

"Sure"

The line went dead.

Silence swallowed the office.

Outside, thunder rolled in from nowhere.

The sky darkened like it was choosing sides.

Her mother whispered, almost to herself

"…What have you done?"

Sienna stepped closer. Her face calm. Her eyes lethal.

"Come back to life."

And just like that… the war began.
