Chapter 2 - “the first time the nightmare began”

> This is my story — a story that brings nothing but pain.

It wasn't me who was crying; it was the darkness itself, blind and endless. I was vanishing, slowly dissolving into the void. Only my emotions and I remained, fighting in silence. If I won, my emotions would disappear into that emptiness. If my emotions won, I would be the one to vanish. At least one of us would survive.

That day, Ela wanted to disappear — to become nothing. She wondered if the rain could wash her clean, if the storm could take away what was broken inside her. But that day, her fate was written… and on that same day, she broke the pen that wrote it. She knew then that nothing would ever be the same again. That pain — the deepest she had ever known — began to wrap around her like a cold fog she could not escape.

I opened my eyes to a bitter morning. There was a weight inside me, an uneasiness I couldn't explain. I told myself it would pass. But as the day went on, I saw it in my uncle's eyes — something different, something wrong. I didn't understand it fully, but I was sixteen, and I felt fear pressing on my chest. I asked myself again and again: What is happening? Why does this feel so wrong?

I tried to hide, to escape that feeling. But I couldn't run forever. Fear became real, and the nightmare began. I remember the coldness of the room, the way the world went silent — except for the sound of my heartbeat breaking. That day, something inside me shattered. It was the beginning of a darkness I never asked for.

He entered the room again. His words fell like poison, soft and cruel. I couldn't breathe. I was trapped inside my own skin, a prisoner of something I didn't deserve. His whispers became chains around my soul.

The days blurred together, each one heavier than the last. I whispered to the sky, "God, please… enough. Please take me. I can't carry this pain any longer." But the world stayed silent. And I stayed broken.
