Stacy apparently had very mixed reactions to her role as Countess. Some of the humans felt like it was a good idea, based on the mythology of elves being wise and long-lived. While others obviously mistrusted another species having any role in governing.
It didn't help that Stacy wasn't particularly adept at using human tongues. Even with the translation spell that was just another barrier.
The reality was that for most of the human world, Kurt's army seemingly came from nowhere and took over at an extremely rapid pace. Everyone was glad the majority of the fighting was done. Every war has some remnants at the end. But the consequences.
Many people owed their lives to Kurt's forces. But how do you live next to a community of 'monsters' the next day? The answer is never, smoothly.
