You Ye (8000 LP) vs. Chen Honglei (8000 LP)
As the Dark Duel rules dictated, Chen Honglei chose who would go first, and unsurprisingly, picked first turn.
Both players drew five cards, and the duel began.
After the Draw Phase and Standby Phase passed uneventfully, Chen Honglei entered Main Phase 1.
Chen Honglei's Turn — Main Phase 1
"I activate the effect of Thunder Dragondark in my hand—
I discard it to add another Thunder Dragon Dark from my Deck to my hand.
Then I activate Thunder Dragon in my hand—discard it to add two Thunder Dragon monsters from my Deck to my hand."
"I activate Allure of Darkness from my hand.
I draw two cards, then banish a DARK monster—Thunder Dragondark—from my hand."
Chen Honglei looked at his refreshed hand and nodded in satisfaction.
"Next, I activate Reasoning. You declare a Level from 1 to 12.
I reveal cards until I reveal a monster that can be Normal Summoned—then that monster is Special Summoned."
"I chain!"
You Ye interrupted him instantly.
"Chain Link 2 — I discard Maxx "C".
Every time you Special Summon, I draw a card.
And for Reasoning—
I declare Level 3."
Chen Honglei frowned slightly, but was unsurprised.
He naturally understood the power of Maxx "C".
Still, with four Special Summons, he could complete his intended end board.
A 1-for-4 exchange—he was confident that You Ye could not break a true Thunder Dragon end board.
And of course, the Level 3 declaration made sense.
Zeng family intel said You Ye understood most archetypes well.
Naturally, he would name a level Thunder Dragons don't use.
Resolution:
CL2 Maxx "C" resolves — You Ye's draw engine is active.
CL1 Reasoning resolves — the very first revealed card is Thunder Dragoroar, which can be Special Summoned.

The dragon manifested with weight, presence, and partial physicality, just like You Ye once sensed with Mneng.

You Ye looked at him as one might regard an insect.
He had originally expected the Zeng family's 'final trump card' to be something spectacular.
But this?
Thunderstormech + Titan + a set Cosmic Cyclone?
Two unstable forms of disruption—
And he thought that was enough to stop You Ye's nine-card hand?
What was he thinking?

So he passed priority back.
You Ye smiled.
This time, he was going to show these primitives what true information asymmetry looked like.

He knew Dugares.
The Zeng family had looked into You Ye's known extra deck.
Dugares was in the list.
Dugares's three effects were strong, yes—
But none of them could break his board.
And this was nothing like Predaplant Verte Anaconda's infamous 'summon Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon' cheat-line.
No immediate danger.
Time ticked.
The duel system warned him that his reaction timer was almost up.

As long as You Ye summoned something unfamiliar, he could chain Titan and blast it.
Unless You Ye's 'terminal monster' just dropped onto the field with no activation—
something that didn't exist—
