Han Jue hadn't bothered concealing his identity, so word of his presence spread across Bauhinia Island like wildfire.
The news reached the alien races almost immediately. Through various channels and communication methods, intelligence about the appearance of the human genius known as Venerable Star Sea was relayed back to their respective territories.
For example...
Deep within the Monster Race's domain, in the silent expanse of the starry void, flames the size of stars scattered throughout the darkness, enveloping this region of space-time. At the center of this sea of fire stood the majestic Sky Wolf Palace.
A gigantic two-headed serpent prostrated itself before the palace entrance, its voice resonating through the surrounding void, "Lord Sky Wolf Master, news has arrived from our race's inheritors within the Ancestral God Sect. Venerable Star Sea has been discovered within the sect's treasure lands."
"Hmph. He's inside the Ancestral God Sect, it's not convenient to act against him there," Sky Wolf Master said coldly from within his palace.
"No need to rush. Let's wait and see how the other races react."
At this moment, Sky Wolf Master hadn't yet traveled to Ice Prison Star to encounter Han Jue's true form. He didn't yet understand the monstrous level Han Jue's strength had reached after breaking through to Immortality. Sky Wolf Master simply assumed this genius wouldn't be able to cause trouble for much longer.
As a Universe Master, he certainly wouldn't personally attack Han Jue, that would be beneath his dignity. But he could instruct the Universe Venerables of the Monster Race on Bauhinia Island to make things difficult for this upstart human.
Besides, the other two peak races wouldn't stand idly by and watch the human race produce another Universe Master.
"Venerable Star Sea!"
A powerful figure clad in purple armor with a wolf's head approached Han Jue. This was Venerable Jiufeng, a prominent member from one of humanity's larger branches, the werewolf race.
As a Universe Overlord stationed on Bauhinia Island, Venerable Jiufeng immediately sought out Han Jue the moment word of his identity leaked. The werewolf Venerable's expression was tense with worry.
Han Jue knew what he wanted to say without needing to guess.
Sure enough,
"Venerable Star Sea, you've exposed your identity. Those alien races will never let you go easily!" Venerable Jiufeng said urgently. "Even though the Ancestral God Sect strictly forbids killing, there are many ways to circumvent that restriction. They could challenge you in the secret realms where the rules are more lenient, or even send assassins after you!"
As a fellow member of the human race, Venerable Jiufeng naturally valued this peerless genius and was unwilling to see Han Jue die young.
"Don't worry, Venerable Jiufeng," Han Jue said calmly, his tone carrying an almost dismissive confidence.
"Those alien races would need to send at least a Universe Master to assassinate me successfully," Han Jue continued with a slight smile. "And the Ancestral God Sect will help restrain any Universe Masters from interfering. At the very least, an ordinary Universe Master can't enslave my soul in an instant, so there's no need to worry about that possibility."
"This..." Venerable Jiufeng was stunned by the audacity of the claim.
"As for assassination attempts by Universe Venerables, even if they send a Universe Overlord, they can't kill me," Han Jue added matter-of-factly. "As you know, the difference in divine power between a World Master and an Immortal is one hundred thousand times. The gap between an Immortal and a Universe Venerable is similarly vast."
Hearing Han Jue speak so confidently, Venerable Jiufeng's anxiety gradually subsided. The werewolf Venerable studied Han Jue's expression carefully, searching for any hint of bravado or false confidence, but found none.
"Since you're aware of the dangers yourself, I won't say any more," Venerable Jiufeng said finally, his tone shifting to one of cautious acceptance as he looked at Han Jue.
Han Jue nodded. Now it was time to see just how capable the assassins sent by those alien races truly were.
At this moment, his true form had already killed the demonic dragon within the Eternal Lake Secret Realm, fully demonstrating that Han Jue possessed combat power comparable to a Universe Overlord. Even Venerable Jiufeng might not be his match in direct combat.
After all, Venerable Jiufeng had received the complete inheritance of a Divine General from the Ancestral God Sect, which meant his upper limit of strength was essentially fixed. He would forever remain at the Universe Overlord level with no possibility of further advancement. That was the price of such complete inheritances, they provided immediate power but capped future potential.
If those alien races thought sending a mid-level or high-level Universe Venerable would be enough to deal with him, then Han Jue would gladly accept such gifts.
Next, Han Jue departed from the treasure lands and made his way to the inheritance grounds.
The inheritance grounds were shrouded in thick black mist that obscured everything beyond a few meters. This wasn't ordinary fog, but a manifestation of the ancient laws that governed the Beast God inheritance itself.
The Beast God inheritance token given to Han Jue by his clan corresponded to the fusion of water and space laws. While this particular path was most suitable for Han Jue's Star Stream Sea avatar, in truth, it made little difference to him. His Six Eyes bloodline ability allowed him to comprehend any law path with roughly equal efficiency.
As Han Jue stepped into the black mist, an incredible power acted upon his entire body. This power was something even Han Jue couldn't resist, nor was there any need to resist it. He simply observed quietly, allowing the inheritance to unfold.
Whoosh!
Streams of divine power emerged from Han Jue's body, followed by the manifestation of law runes. The entire water-space fusion law began demonstrating itself from its most fundamental level, as if the universe itself was teaching him.
The supreme treasure within his body, the Cosmic Model, also began simulating under Han Jue's conscious control, adapting to the evolution of this mysterious power. He watched as the water-space fusion law improved step by step from its foundation, interpreting all of his existing insights while also revealing new connections he hadn't yet considered.
As more and more law runes emerged, threads of luminous symbols intertwined around him, forming a beautiful world composed entirely of law patterns. It was like watching the blueprint of reality itself.
"Beast God inheritance," Han Jue murmured, opening his eyes as the vision concluded.
That mysterious power descended once more, this time carrying a judgment.
"Fourth level!" A resounding voice echoed directly in Han Jue's mind.
"I've reached the fourth level of the Beast God Path already." Han Jue was mildly surprised, though not shocked. It seemed that although he'd abandoned this particular cultivation path partway through, his understanding of the Beast God Path and the water-void fusion law remained comparable to those who'd followed it devotedly, even reaching the King or Venerable level.
This was quite normal, all things considered.
After all, Han Jue had thoroughly comprehended the first six diagrams of the Ice Peak Chaos Monument. Later, he'd even created a supreme secret technique corresponding to the water-void fusion law, the Water-Space Sword Qi. Although he hadn't used that technique since acquiring the more powerful Five Evolutions Sword Qi, his understanding of the underlying laws hadn't disappeared. It had merely been incorporated into his broader comprehension.
"This Beast God inheritance is still somewhat helpful," Han Jue thought to himself, acknowledging the value despite his advanced understanding.
The Beast God Path was more accurately described as a path of fusion law cultivation. It involved simulating a born Beast God and comprehending the Beast God's heart during the process of mastering fusion laws, making it easier to grasp these notoriously difficult combinations.
The Beast God Path also contained the complete spatial origin law woven throughout its teachings. Integrating these insights would greatly benefit Han Jue, allowing him to use them both for creating new secret techniques and for his eventual breakthrough to the Universe Venerable realm.
After receiving the inheritance viewing, Han Jue left the inheritance site, his mind already analyzing how to incorporate these new insights into his existing framework.
"Hmm? You acted quite quickly this time."
After leaving the inheritance site, Han Jue returned to the main areas of Bauhinia Island and immediately sensed several hostile gazes fixed upon him. His Six Eyes perceived them with perfect clarity, cataloging their positions and power levels automatically.
"Greedy Wolf Venerable, Lemon Night Venerable, Source Heart Venerable, one Universe Overlord and two high-level Universe Venerables. Your three races are quite generous with the bait you've offered me," Han Jue said with a slight smile, speaking as if commenting on the weather rather than potential assassins.
The fishing plan had worked perfectly.
Source Heart Venerable was a Universe Overlord from the Insectoid Alliance, renowned for his soul attack techniques. The other two represented the Monster Race Alliance and the Machine Race Alliance respectively. All three were Beast God inheritors who had been cultivating on Bauhinia Island for thousands of years, using the sect's resources to refine their understanding of fusion laws.
"Enough nonsense!" Source Heart Venerable's voice was cold and sharp as he immediately launched his attack.
These three Universe Venerables from three different factions weren't allies, they were competitors. Whoever struck first would claim the greatest advantage and potentially secure Han Jue's treasures for themselves!
