Chapter 2 - The unemployed man

I opened my eyes in my very dark room, I forced myself to wake up not 'to do something' but to 'do something'. I went out of my room and looked at the clock on the wall '13.06' heh it seems I woke up quite early huh. I took a shower and got ready for (something) when I looked in the mirror I saw nothing just an empty room reflection with nothing in it. I opened my door and was punished with the scorching sunlight.

I went out to buy something, unlike usual I used a road that I rarely use, I don't know what was on my mind. I passed a flower shop and a flower field next to the shop.

"Why they are selling flowers if we can see them directly here!... and oh yeah who is the owner of this shop?... ah I don't know "I said to myself.

Not far from the shop I passed a wall that had a lot of writing, but the one that caught my attention the most was a writing 'World Greatest'. I don't know how far I walked, without a clear goal at all. At that time I saw a cafe... what cafe?

Dorrie Cafe, just an ordinary cafe with a regular menu, nothing special about this cafe, and not too many customers here.

"Hello sir, welcome to Dorrie Cafe, how are you, oh and here is the menu if you want to order, just call," greeted the woman friendly, it seems she is an employee here.

I ordered fried rice and caramel coffee. Not long after that my order arrived, I enjoyed my food while looking at the busy city view. Even though I knew this was just a lie, it wasn't bad either.

"So the total is 35,000.00Rp, thank you for visiting Dorrie Cafe, have a nice day." With her friendly smile.

"Oh yeah, do you know someone with a mustache, a not-too-thick beard, black shoes with white stripes, and sometimes with a dark blue jacket?"I asked

"Ohh you mean Mr. Arrick. Do you know him?"

"Yes, I'm his neighbor," I replied, despite the fact that we'd barely interacted at all.

"Wow, that's great. Mr. Arrick left this last night. I haven't opened it yet, but Mr. Arrick must be looking for it," She said, handing me a book and a piece of paper.

"What's this, a wedding invitation?"

"Well, you know, tomorrow I'm having a wedding, and because of that, we'll be closing this shop . We also invited Mr. Arrick because he's a loyal customer. Oh, and I wanted to ask if something happened to Mr. Arrick. It's unusual for him not to come."

".....Ah, it's okay. He's just sick, so he probably won't be coming to your wedding."

"Oh, that's too bad. I hope Mr. Arrick gets better soon."

"Yes..."

On my way home I opened the book, read all of it. On the way I stopped at a police station to give the book and explain it a little, not everything I was too lazy for that and it was also not my job they could solve it themselves and if they couldn't it was their fault. After that I threw the invitation into a trash can and continued my journey home while thinking about what I should do for tomorrow.

THE COLORLESS HORSE

Once upon a time there lived a colorless horse, he lived in a colorless forest. He continued to wander around this forest without any purpose or direction like a never-ending cycle of time. Continuously and endlessly around him was nothingness and emptiness, the birds, the trees, even his own house had no color at all. One day he passed something, a lake, a beautiful blue lake. The horse took a sip of the lake water, it felt very warm, at that moment the horse felt what color was for so long. He always visited the lake, even though it was surrounded by colorless things, at least there was some color that he could see. But it seemed that it would not last long, one day when he was going to the lake he saw how the lake lost its color, he realized that in the end everything that have color will lose its color. He went to merge with the lake ending this colorless cycle, thank you for reading my story the hell that I live in.

I hope you already solved it
