Hearing her words, Bron dashed toward me with astonishing speed. I could hardly comprehend how fast he was moving. Upon reaching me, he threw his fist directly at my face. Anticipating the attack, I dodged to the left.
For a moment, I was frozen in disbelief that I had successfully evaded his strike. Bron also seemed taken aback. After a brief pause, he resumed attacking, and the force behind each blow was sharp and powerful. Yet somehow, I managed to block or evade them all. I couldn't believe it—I felt a surge of confidence like I had never experienced before.
As Bron backed off a little, I didn't understand his motives, but I started to feel weary. Suddenly, he charged at me with even greater speed, and I felt as though my eyes were being shattered like a fragile mirror. I didn't understand this strange sensation, but then I saw it: I could perceive Bron's movements with startling clarity.
Not only was his movement incredibly clear, but everything around me seemed to freeze, as if time itself had slowed down. I felt like a character in a superhero movie, caught in a thrilling battle. Those thoughts flashed through my mind as I dodged his relentless attacks, each one more aggressive than the last. It felt as though he was genuinely trying to kill me, and I couldn't figure out how to stop him.
With each punch he threw, the force behind it grew stronger, and I realised that if even one of those hits connected, I might lose consciousness—or worse. Determined not to be hit, I was on the move, dodging, running, rolling. I did everything I could to evade him.
Eventually, he switched from fists to brutal kicks, each one more punishing than the last. I managed to block some of his attacks, but they were so fierce that they felt like they could tear me apart. I fought to hold my ground, but one powerful blow nearly sent me crashing down, breaking my bones and ripping at my very strength.
"Aghh!"
I screamed in pain as I felt the intense ache in my broken arm. Without waiting for recovery, Bron jumped high into the air. It felt like he was floating. Slowly, he moved his left leg up, as if performing a gymnastic move. Just as he began to lower himself, I realised what he was about to do and quickly rolled away.
"Thumb!"
I glanced up to see what had made that sound. To my horror, Bron was standing on a huge dent in the ground, a clear sign that his attack had caused significant damage. I started to sweat. Before I could process what was happening, Bron dashed in front of me and grabbed me with both hands. I was so bewildered that I couldn't react to his movements. He lifted me and slammed me down onto the ground with all his strength.
"Cough!"
I coughed up saliva as I slowly began to lose consciousness.
Aleyas pov
The battle had begun, but it felt like it was already over. Bron was trying to finish it in one strike. "Ray, I'm sorry, but it seems like this will end in seconds..." Suddenly, something unbelievable happened. I never thought I would witness such a moment, nor could I have imagined it in my lifetime. What I was watching felt like a miracle—no, it was more than a miracle; it went beyond anything supernatural. It was more shocking than anything I had ever experienced.
Ray managed to dodge Bron's attacks, which was something I never thought possible. Even Bron appeared shocked, and I understood why; he was witnessing the same astonishing event as I was. I still couldn't understand how this was happening. Ray was not only dodging but also predicting Bron's every move, as if I were watching a match that had been scripted before my eyes. I remained in disbelief that Ray could do all of this on his own. He felt unnatural, almost like a different person. Until yesterday, he had acted normally. What had changed him so drastically since I found him in that place?
It seemed he had transformed significantly. I struggled to understand his seemingly impossible reflexes and movements. The more I observed the fight, the more I realised how fast and strong both of them were moving. Despite Ray's erratic dodging, I could tell that each blow Bron threw was becoming stronger and faster. At some point, I could hardly see their movements; it was as if they had vanished from sight.
Before I knew it, Bron managed to land a hit, but Ray blocked it. I could see Ray's face tense with pain. Seeing his expression made me want to shout, "Stop, guys! It's over!" But they couldn't hear me. I glanced up just in time to see Bron jumping into the air, and I understood what he was about to do. Horror washed over me as I ran forward in an attempt to stop him. But before I could reach him, he dive-kicked the ground with tremendous force, creating a sound like an explosion.
As I tried to see through the smoke, I heard a slamming sound. When I opened my eyes, I saw Ray knocked out on the ground.
I sprinted forward with fervor, delivering a decisive blow to Bron's face while exclaiming with fervent indignation, "You fool!"
