Chapter 12 - [12]: Power Unleashed

After successfully absorbing the Power-Power Fruit, Rahu turned to glance at Kaido, who was lounging beside him with his usual disinterest.

"This Devil Fruit is indeed a Paramecia-type power fruit," Rahu said with a faint smirk. "But since you only care about Zoan-type fruits, I'll keep this one for myself."

Kaido waved a hand lazily, clearly not interested in anything that wasn't animal-related. He was many things wild, proud, and battle-hungry but unlike Rahu, he couldn't devour multiple powers. His path depended on choosing one perfect fruit that could amplify his already monstrous body.

Kaido's heritage was rare even in this brutal world an Oni, a race born with extraordinary strength and endurance. It was that bloodline alone that had allowed him to survive the countless gunfights and battlefields of his youth. Without it, he would have fallen long ago, buried under a mountain of corpses.

That was why Kaido was so obsessed with the Zoan fruits. To him, merging his Oni resilience with the raw might of a beast-type fruit would forge the ultimate warrior. Rahu couldn't blame him. They were both creatures chasing the peak of power, just on different paths.

"Well then," Rahu continued, "since you don't need these blades either, I'll help myself."

Before Kaido could even reply, Rahu waved his hand, and hundreds of swords and weapons stored in the nearby cabin vanished into his personal storage. Most of them were ordinary blades some fine, some crude but free steel was still free steel.

Rahu grinned. He hadn't learned swordsmanship yet, but who said his thunderous attacks couldn't be delivered through a blade? At the end of the day, every fighting technique boiled down to one thing: how you channel power. Even some Marine officers had turned their fists into living weapons through pure mastery of strength and will.

Soon, Rahu's gaze settled on a glass case at the far end of the cabin. Inside it rested a double-edged sword, its entire body gleaming like frozen moonlight. Without hesitation, Rahu smashed the glass with one punch and lifted the weapon from its display. A small tag hung beside it, and he read aloud with mild curiosity.

"Unranked blade. Origin: East Sea royal collection. Edge sharpness observed to rival that of the 21 Great Grade Swords."

Rahu raised an eyebrow. So it wasn't officially graded, but its cutting ability was on par with legendary blades. Not bad at all.

He gave it a few test swings. The blade hummed softly, slicing through the air like a whisper. A surge of exhilaration ran through him. Every man, at some point, dreamed of walking the world with a sword in hand and Rahu was no exception.

"From today," he murmured, staring at the weapon, "your name will be Virtue."

It wasn't a random choice. As the old saying went: 'To conquer others, you must first conquer yourself with virtue.'

And if words failed? Then, Rahu thought darkly, he would let his Virtue speak in blood.

One day, this sword would strike down those self-proclaimed gods the Celestial Dragons and their divine arrogance would feed its edge. Rahu could already picture their panic, their trembling as his blade drew the first crimson line across their pale throats.

He tied the sword to his hip, then closed his eyes, focusing inward. The surge of power from the fruit he had absorbed began to spread through his veins like molten metal. Muscles tightened, bones groaned, and an invisible pressure filled the air around him.

The Power-Power Fruit had amplified his physical strength by nearly threefold. His already formidable body now felt like a fortress of muscle and will. Each breath came out as a rumbling growl.

It was terrifying and exhilarating.

Rahu remembered when his strange ability first awakened, the power to absorb the attributes of others. Back then, he'd already guessed that Devil Fruits, being sources of supernatural energy, might be absorbed as well.

Now, that theory had become reality.

Just one touch was enough. The fruit's essence had flowed into him like data copied between worlds, merging seamlessly with his existing abilities. And the best part? It didn't interfere with the powers he already possessed.

Rahu's gift was beyond monstrous it was evolutionary.

In this world, Haki might define a warrior's soul, but Devil Fruits shaped the limits of their reality. Some fruits could turn men into storms, others into shadows or gods. And now, Rahu could take them all.

He couldn't help but think of the legendary Pirate King Gol D. Roger a man who had reached the summit without ever tasting a Devil Fruit. If even Roger, with all his unmatched will and Haki, had consumed a suitable fruit… could anything have stopped him?

Imagine Roger wielding the power of the mythical Bat-Bat Fruit, Vampire Model regenerating, feeding on blood, immortal and ever-young. The idea alone was terrifying. That version of Roger might have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Rocks D. Xebec himself.

But that was all speculation. Rocks was a monster of a different kind the kind whose ambition and might could shake the foundations of the world. The fall of the Rocks Pirates at God Valley had never been about power it was about betrayal. Too many kings in one kingdom.

If that crew had stayed united, even the Five Elders themselves would have needed to step down from their thrones to face them.

A slow smile crept across Rahu's face as he imagined himself among those legends absorbing every mythical ability that once terrorized the seas. The Float-Float Fruit of the Golden Lion, the Soul-Soul Fruit of Big Mom… treasures beyond price, now waiting for him to claim.

The upcoming God Valley Incident wasn't just history it was opportunity. Six unknown fruits, all of them priceless, would surface there. And Rahu would be ready.

Because his goal wasn't just revenge anymore.

It was revolution.

He would strike at the very heart of the world the Celestial Dragons, their puppet government, and the shadowed beings who ruled from the dark. But not yet. Not until he was truly unstoppable.

Even the Marines and Cipher Pol forces were only the outer shell. Beyond them stood the Five Elders, the Holy Knights, and the mysterious figure known only as Im the one whose existence even the kings of the world dared not mention.

Rahu's eyes burned with feral light.

"Next stop," he whispered, "is Demon Island. Let's see if the so-called protectors of justice can still stand after I'm done harvesting their strength."

The cabin shuddered as a wave of pressure rolled from his body. The Power-Power Fruit had awakened something deep within him an unyielding, furious drive that refused to be caged.

The age of the gods was ending.

And Rahu would be the one to bring it down.
