Chapter 7 - Almost Misunderstood

The next morning

Seveline deliberately came home early because she really wanted breakfast made by Argista, which she thought was suitable and suited her taste and mouth.

As soon as he entered, he didn't find Argista in the kitchen. He also didn't smell the food on the dining table.

Where is he? Has he gone to school yet?

Seveline looked at her watch, but it was still 6 am, there was no way he would leave this early, right?

Seveline approached the dining table and saw a box of cakes there. Seveline looked around. Who bought this? And for whom?

Seconds later, Seveline smiled disdainfully and muttered, "He's that in love with this girl? He's even sweet to her and bought her a cake." Seveline's gaze immediately fell on Argista's room.

Seveline immediately curved her sardonic smile and said, "I will definitely catch you red-handed." Seveline immediately opened the door hoping that she would find Slater there.

But there was no one there.

There was only Argista lying under the blanket.

Seveline immediately went in and approached him, and saw that there were several packages of medicine there.

"Gista!" He called out loudly, making Argista immediately wake up in surprise.

"Sorry, ma'am," said Argista, immediately getting off the bed in fear and still really staggering because her life had not completely gathered itself at this time.

Seveline glanced around Argista's room.

"Why aren't you up at this hour when I need breakfast?" Seveline asked angrily.

Argista looked down feeling guilty and said, "I'm sorry my lady had a fever yesterday. I will cook for you." He said that he went straight to the kitchen.

Seveline sighed and immediately left Argista's room, sitting at the dining table waiting for her breakfast to be ready.

Suddenly Seveline asked Argista, "Who bought this cake?" Argista turned to look at the cake box.

"Sir, madam, he said for you to eat it when you get home," Seveline smiled mischievously when she heard that.

"I thought this was for you," Seveline murmured softly, but Argista could hear her. Argista tried to remain calm and casual, pretending she hadn't heard what Seveline had just said.

A few minutes later, breakfast was ready, and Argista immediately served it on the table. At the same time, Slater had just returned home.

Seveline raised an eyebrow and asked, "You just got home?" Slater simply nodded and walked upstairs to his room.

Argista didn't even look at Slater, she just looked down and was busy preparing food for Seveline.

Seveline pushed aside the box of cakes and immediately devoured the breakfast Argista had prepared. She had always been in love with Argista's cooking, and it was what made her come home every morning to enjoy it.

Argista returned to the kitchen and cleaned up the rest. As soon as she finished eating, Seveline grabbed her bag and called, "Gista." Her call brought Argista to her.

"If you want, just take the cake, if you don't like it, just give it to the guard," Argista just nodded politely.

Seveline then went upstairs, making Argista immediately sit on the chair with a sigh of relief.

Argista truly felt guilty about Seveline's kind behavior toward her. Why did she marry that perverted, jerk-off Slater?

But what else could she do? Slater claimed their marriage was simply a business venture aimed at making money. What else could Argista do besides exploiting the situation to gain wealth and fulfill her dreams.

Argista doesn't know how rich people establish relationships with the people they want, what Argista understands during her time working here is that power and wealth are everything, they can even turn marriage into business and transactions.

Enough, Argista doesn't want to think about that, he will focus on his current goal.

Meanwhile, in the upstairs room, Slater was seen sitting on the sofa near the window, shirtless while smoking sexily, his gaze seemed focused on looking at the beautiful and refreshing morning view.

The bedroom door opened and revealed Seveline, Slater knew that and was reluctant to turn around or greet her, he was busy smoking his cigarette.

Seveline put down her bag and sat on the edge of the bed, "It's unusual for you to come home early? Did you manage to get the position of leader of Jagger company?" Seveline asked curiously because this was the first time she saw Slater come home later than her.

Slater silently exhaled a puff of smoke from his cigarette. He hadn't actually been home this morning; he'd decided to leave Argista's room at 4 a.m. because the torture had prevented him from sleeping soundly.

Slater decided to go out for some fresh air, who knew if Seveline came home early thinking he was coming home from work.

"Just finishing some work," he answered briefly, making Seveline just nod.

Seveline silently stared at Slater's muscular back and said, "That girl is very beautiful, good at cooking and knows how to serve her master properly, aren't you tempted to try her?" Slater immediately shot a sharp look, turning to look at Seveline who showed a cynical smile.

"He's not a meal to be tasted," Slater said shortly as he threw himself onto the bed with a long snort.

Seveline just pursed her lips and nodded as if she didn't believe what he said.

"I think you can play with her to satisfy your desires that are blocked because of me," he said, making Slater take a hard drag on his cigarette, he tried to control his emotions, he was really very angry with Seveline's words that belittled Argista at this time, it really made him angry and annoyed.

Seveline got out of bed and grabbed her bag, approached Slater and said, "You can do it, I know you can't help but be attracted to her considering she's the kind of woman you want. But once you do it, don't drag my name into it, do it without bringing my name into disrepute. And keep your promise to give me half of your fortune. Then get out of my house after you've successfully obtained that fortune." Seveline then walked out of the room.

Slater clenched his jaw with a sharp, ambitious stare to destroy Seveline this time.

"Your rotten mouth is really very annoying. What should I do with you after I have made the wealth myself without sharing it with you," muttered Slater, who was very fed up with Seveline's spicy mouth.

His arrogant and haughty attitude really made Slater very sick at this time.

Slater admitted that he really loved Argista, was very attracted to her and wanted to have her, but Seveline's words really made him very emotional.

He really looked down on Argista, thinking that Agista was an object that Slater could buy and touch at any time.

Slater immediately got up from the sofa, put out his cigarette and went to take a shower before he met Argista.
