Time skip
Outside the front of the church Jack, Asta, and Yuno were packed and ready to go on the beginning of their journey. Father Orsi, Sister Lily, and the other orphans were all gathered outside the church to give their farewells to the three of them.
Everyone was trying not to cry because they wanted to look strong. Especially Father Orsi. He had raised these three boys since they were in diapers. But now Jack, Asta, and Yuno were starting a new chapter of their lives. He tried really hard not to cry... he really did, but he couldn't take it anymore.
"Can't Asta at least stay here? The children will miss him. Plus he doesn't have magic. Will he be okay?" Father Orsi was sniffling, trying to still look strong.
"Yeah. Who will do all the chores and the heavy lifting around here with him gone," Nash questioned, also trying to hide his tears but failing miserably. He wouldn't say it out loud, but he'd miss Asta the most.
Sister Lily finally spoke after getting a little control over her tears. "He'll be fine. Jack and Yuno will be going with him. He's a good boy."
A farmer not far away from the group pulled Jack away for a second.
"My wife and I want to ask you something," the farmer said with a serious but hopeful face.
"What's up Peter?" Jack wasn't used to being pulled aside by anyone. But he's always willing to help or hear people out.
Peter called his wife Shelly over to them for a moment.
Shelly, seeing Jack, smiled happily. "Hey Jack! We were wondering if you'd do the honor of being the godfather of our newborn baby twins, Sara and Jack? We named him after you because you saved our lives from those wild boars."
You could tell how much this meant to her and Peter. They saw Jack as family after that incident.
Jack was speechless for a moment. It felt like an eternity went by for Peter and Shelly waiting for a response. Then they saw a face of pure joy on Jack.
He immediately laughed and picked Peter and Shelly up of the ground as if they weighed nothing and swung them around before placing them back down.
"I would be honored my friends! Of course! My answer is yes! A BIG YES!!!"
