The words echoed in his mind as he stood at the threshold of the world shaped by ancient conflict.Three thousand years ago, a brutal war tore the world apart. Elves, dragons, humans, and dwarves clashed in a racial conflict that changed everything.
The elves and dwarves formed an alliance, while dragons and humans were forced to join forces to survive. In the end, the dwarves and elves were all but wiped out on the face of the world.
Now, they're nothing more than legends of the past to the new generations, humans and dragons celebrated their victory and proposed a treaty.
Human greed knew no bounds as they soon betrayed their dragon allies seeking the title of superior race. Forced to flee to the southern continent, the dragons formed new alliances with beast kin and barbarian tribes who feared they would soon be next on the slaughter.
The world remains on the edge, wondering what the future holds.
The present..
Our protagonist Osric veynar was forced to venture into the dark forest after leaving behind the mystical cave that sheltered him, Osric and Eira stood near the narrow passage which led outside the cave to the giant serpent's nest, in the valley.
"What?!..Why are you telling me this now and are you expecting me to walk into a monster's lair?," Eira asked, concerned and frustrated.
Osric replied,"Of course we are,we have no choice that's why I brought you here, Your a mage, a powerful elementalist at the Argentum phase,I'm confident that you can neutralise that beast though it might take too much time, we'll create a chance to escape."
Eira's anger boiled over. "You bastard!" she spat.
Osric spoke in a unusually calm manner staring directly at Eria who couldn't hide her anger,"My dear subordinate we will be facing such situations in the near future it's essential that you adapt and get used to them, after all your Lord here intends to conquer this legendary grave of geniuses."
You are nothing more than a delusional, foolish human waiting for his death, Eira replied bitterly.
"That's enough out of you, show me that your power is as good as that mouth of yours, now lead the way I'll be right behind you," said Osric as he dismissed Eira.
Eira walked forward leading towards the exit channeling Mana to her entire body prepared for a battle."Little one lest you forget if your master dies, you will follow him to his death so don't try anything stupid, after all we linked together with a thread of life isn't that romantic."
Aurion intervened, reprimanding, "Stop teasing her, you fool, making angry will negatively affect her performance. What kind of leader are you?"
Eira ignored him trying to focus on the threat at hand,They finally reached the exit and Eira walked out with ice sword prepared a fierce attack on her opponent but to her surprise, there was no monster in sight only skeletons of dead flesh and its scales scattered around the valley, Osric came out and realised there was no sign of battle.
"This is a chance,What are doing let's go now!, clearly that beast is out somewhere hunting or something it would good if it returned without us here, Osric commanded while he took off in sprint heading in the left direction.without having the time to look up and reminisce at Cliff he fell from where he almost got killed, by the dark faction Elite commander Aldric fenmor who died by the colossal serpent venomous flames.
Eira quickly caught up to Osric, her speed and agility allowing her to leap in front of him. "What the...?", "Human, there's a big trail of magic energy headed this way.
It's probably the serpent you mentioned. You can't see it because of your low mana cultivation rank. We should go this way and find a place to shelter ourselves. It's going to get dark soon."
They ran in the opposite direction navigating the dark alleys of the valley without looking back, the landscape seemed to be ascend to higher ground as they moved,They soon got closer to the woods with the ominous atmosphere getting heavier,They left behind the lair of monster that lingered in Osric's painful memories.
As they ran, Eira realized Osric was holding with his fragile body. She decided to use her strength to grab him and quickly cover a great distance running."How humiliating being carried like this is, I've taken a great blow in my pride,"said Osric.
"That should be the least of your worries," Aurion replied.
Eira suddenly stopped running and landed swiftly on the ground and dropped Osric,"hey be gentle"said Osric as he picked himself up from the ground.
"Shh..be quiet human," she said taking a fighting stance.A massive axe hurtled towards them from the trees, but Eira instinctively deflected it with blast of ice.
The mysterious attackers revealed themselves approaching Eira and Osric who were alarmed. The creatures were mutated six goblins that had four arms and large humanoid form that rivaled Orcs, they radiated demonic energy, they approached their prey.
The big and fatter goblin carrying two iron clubs spoke, "Hahaha humans, how rare brothers the female human with long ears is mine." second goblin replied "but the leader will be mad we should bring the humans back in the village,"
"No I'm incharge here I'll kill you all and take humans for myself if argue with me, or.. we can kill and share them together the is no need to tell the leader, she doesn't have to know", the goblins came into an agreement, they approached closer and surrounded them.
"I'm surprised by these abominations, but they are starting to piss me off, Eira!," Osric said, giving Eira an order to kill them, his voice loud and menacing as he turned to Eira.
Eira's gaze locked onto the goblins, her eyes flashing with a fierce intensity. "Don't move, human," she warned Osric.
Before she finished speaking, three goblins charged forward, their bone spears leading them. Eira jumped into action, using kekkai she vanished and appeared behind them in a blink of an eye. With a swift strike, she pierced one goblin with her sword, the blade coated in a thin layer of ice that radiated fading light.
The other two goblins didn't stand a chance. Eira threw a swift cut that sliced through both, her sword flashing in rapid strikes that left them crumpling to the ground.
The group leader, enraged by the sudden turn of events, unleashed a powerful mace attack from a distance. The heavy headed club crashed down pounding the ground , sending a shockwave rippling through the air and destroying trees in the way , the wave raging forward threatened to blast away Eira.
But Eira stood firm, her eyes flashing with mana as she conjured giant spikes of ice. The spikes burst forth from the ground, blocking the shockwave and tearing the leader and the two remaining goblins apart with brutal efficiency.
"Ὀρφνεῦ, νεκρέ, ἀνάστηθι. Δεσμεύω σε ἐμοὶ τῷ δεσπότῃ σου. Λάβε μερίδα τῆς οὐσίας μου ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτός, ὑπηρετεῖν ἐν πᾶσι καιροῖς. Ὀστέον ἐκ τῶν ὀστέων μου, σάρξ ἐκ τῆς σαρκός μου, ἐξέλθε."

By Orpheus, dead one arise.i bind you to me your master , take a portion of my essence by day and night to me serve at all times.
A thick dark purple fog emerged, bursting out of the goblins corpses as it swirled around covered the atmosphere.
After Osric chanted the resurrection spell, as soon as the battle concluded,Eira looked startled trying to comprehend the situation. The dead goblins rose from the dead as their bodies regenerated, Osric absorbed the fog and it vanished.
"Welcome my new subordinates," Osric said with his smirk on his face.
Your will is our will master, the six goblins paid tribute and bowed down to Osric without resistance.
"Bastard", Eira mumbled furious as she understood what Osric did.Eira kill the two with the leader and leave the remaining three,"said Osric
"What? Why would you resurrect them in the first place, you human freak have gone mad,"Eira yelled, confused by Osric's command.
"Can't you just be obedient like them, I didn't even have to use the curse mark to compel them yet they obediently bowed to me but you are one piece of work just do what I say,"Osric said
"Master please spare us we will serve you faithfully," The goblins begged for their lives,Eira annoyed by situation before her blasted them petrified with chilling ice, following with giant strike of ice hammer crushing the ices that petrified them crumbling to the ground like pieces of glass.
"Faithfully as they had choice to begin with as for the rest of you fools you will lead us to safe place to spend the night, you should be familiar with this territory it's already getting dark, you with the scar on eye you lead the two now."Osric commanded, yes master we should head this way a giant cave uninhabited, though it has strange human designs inside master will want to rest there for evening," said the scared goblin.
"Human design interesting lead the way,". Osric replied that statement piqued his interest, they walked through the dark woods the sunset before their eyes."Aurion I killed the goblins did I gain any life span then, I was experimenting but nothing changed,"Osric spoke with Aurion mentally.
"I don't know how much life span you had to begin with, I gave you an intelligence status system for a reason," Aurion replied. "huh? then show it to me you never told me how to conjure it." said Osric.

"Ah come on I just used one dark magic spell how does that make me a wizard class..,oh I see you appraised my life span disappointing to see that i only have thirty three years left to live but now that I have this skill it's nothing to worry about,"said Osric
"My other attributes also increased, you never told me anything about this Aurion but there no side effect is because they weak?,"Osrc asked
"Calm down one question at a time ,if I told you that, you would have started becoming a blood thirty killer, regardless I don't know everything as for your life span it depends on how many days your servant has lived since the time of resurrection, when they die you accumulate those number of days."
"It seems your other stats increased but it would be incorrect to say you inherited all their power from those mutated goblins you killed, they were quite stronger compared to the amount of stats you gained," Aurion explained.
"They keep glaring at me I'm the only who can see this right, Aurion asked
Yes,but who wouldn't look at an idiot who keeps smiling to himself and pointing in mid air,"Aurion replied
"ugh..I'm still useless. I haven't even entered the core phase, I need to make plans tomorrow ,my patience is at its limit. I'll use those goblins to raid their own village to further increase my stats,"said Osric.
Determined Osric and Eira followed the three goblins navigating through the trees, they finally arrived at a large cave entrance,Inside the cave transformed into a grand, high ceilinged chamber, with giant pillars. The wall were built ancient stones, they walked the passageway, its floor paved with worn flagstones that led them deeper into the heart of the cave and the sound of their footsteps echoed inside.
They ventured deeper, carrying torches that seemed I don't even know where they came from. They reached the end of the passageway, where a massive door that resembled that of a castle stood before them.
"Master, you must rest here," the goblin with the scar explained. "This door doesn't open, even with force. This cave has no owner, but we can stay for the night."
Osric and Eira's gazes wandered, trying to decipher the symbols carved into the walls. "Fine," Osric said, "but tell us about this place. Why is it like this? Who were the previous owners?"
The goblin shook his head. "I'm afraid I don't know, my Lord. Things changed quickly here, but this place has been like this for a long time. The village chief may know more about it."
Eira walked towards the door, her eyes fixed on it with an unnerving intensity. She touched the door, and the symbols around it began to glow. The cave shook, and the giant door creaked open, revealing a large room beyond. The sound of falling rocks and crumbling ceiling blocking their way out.
"Eira, what have you done?" Osric yelled, running towards the door as rocks fell from the ceiling behind them. Eira's face was pale, her expression spooked.
"Something inside the door was calling to me for help," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I found myself pushing the door."
Before Osric could react, he was stunned by what lay beyond the door.
