Chapter 54: The Call from the ACA
Following days we had some friendly match and today we play with DSP from Silchar.
I am batting now.
10 minutes before.
"We have two spinners," Sarma said, unmoved. "Sit down. Now."
The match began. And it was a disaster.
The DPS Silchar bowlers were fast, accurate, and disciplined. They didn't rely on ego like the 10th-grader; they relied on line and length.
[Score: SVM - 15/3. Overs: 6.0]
The top order collapsed. Vikram, going back to his old habits, slogged at a straight one and was Bowled. Abhinav, terrified, was caught behind.
Sarma stood on the sideline, his jaw tight. He looked at the collapsing score. He looked at the next batsman, who was trembling.
He looked down the bench. Raghav was sitting there, his eyes fixed on the field, his mind already calculating the salvage operation.
Sarma made a quick decision. He ripped the team sheet off his clipboard.
"ROI! WISSAM IS OUT! YOU'RE IN AT NUMBER FIVE!"
