Chapter 20 - CHAPTER TWENTY

When she got home she entered her room, undressed and changed to a pink chiffon gown. She sat in front of her mirror and removed her mask to reveal her fair egg-like face, two big golden orbs that had not a single trace of warmth in it, a well sculpted nose and small rosy lips that seem to have lost its color all implanted on a fair swan like neck which made her already beautiful figure look more majestic all together. She gazed intently at herself with thousands of worries threatening to break her open. The alpha would soon back from where ever he went and she would be trapped under him, she didn't know what to do, she suddenly wished she possessed a wolf like the other did, sometimes she felt intimidated by their suffocating presence, and she always had to put up a facade to hide her nervousness whenever she was being confronted by one, the fact that they were wolves and could turn up against her sent shivers down her spin. Putting on her mask she remembered her brother who had asked her the reason for putting on the mask being a little boy and also unconscious of things around him, she had to play a game of hearts with his mind, she got him to stop asking by telling him that she had a hideous scar on her face that made her look ugly "Well looks like that's what I'm always going to tell anyone who asks me for a reason and I would also love to see the surprised look on the faces of many if I ever have the opportunity to get rid of this mask forever" she thought to herself with disturbed sigh. She glanced at her reflection again and remembered the meeting she had with the makeup artist whom she contacted to paint a rather ugly scar on her fair face, she had her reasons, in order not to be exposed be her colleagues who seem to run on nothing but curiosity and if she is exposed then she would be completely doomed and she won't be able to get the revenge that she has come so far for on the celibate alpha that murdered her parents and destroyed her life completely. She rose up from the little stool she had been sitting on, putting her in place and strode out of the room awaiting the arrival of her brother.
