Sarah Moore felt something was off with David Johnson as soon as they got out of the car.
There was something unsettling about his aura.
"Hey, David, now that we're home, why don't you set aside the matters of The Apex Group for a bit? I originally wanted to make you some crayfish, but it's too late today. Tomorrow morning, this little fairy will make you some super delicious fried rice, how does that sound?"
Seeing me unresponsive, Sarah grinned and said, "Martinez't you feel like there's suddenly a snail maiden in the house?"
I looked at Sarah, and most of the hostility in my demeanor seemed to fade away.
"You're no snail maiden. You're more like Selene from the Moon. Although, Selene definitely doesn't have your figure."
Sarah nodded with approval, "Your sweet words please this queen! Alright, this queen needs to sleep. Aren't you going to bid me goodnight?"
I ignored Sarah and headed directly to the bathroom for a shower.
