Yep, that's my stats. I can't go very far in this world as an F rank demon. Not to mention that my home town, Boiling Bottom, is one of the most shitist places in hell. It sits at the bottom of a lava lake, on a small island in the center. We get out of the lake by taking special boats across. Most merchants choose to avoid out town because we are so dang fucking poor that they can't get a profit here. All of the houses are tents made from bone and hides, and we hardly have anything to be proud of. Besides Volo.
Volo was my father, a fellow Hellspawn, but he had a dream. To get out of this dump and explore hell. And to be the first one to make an accurate map of this place. Yep we don't have a good map of our own world yet. That's how dangerous it is.
Unfortunately Volo left when I was 5, And he took my mother with him. Leaving me, my 2 year old brother, Tharos, and my 13 year old sister, Glasyia. We couldn't do much without anyone feeding us so Glasyia sold her self to an A rank demon for us to survive. When I was 14, Tharos was kidnapped and never seen again. Now I am 17. After living off scraps for the past 10 years, (The money ran out in 2 years) I was so ready to get the fuck out of here.
With only one problem.
An A rank demon named Orchem was staying here. And his private guards were making sure no one left town. He most likely was going to kill us of XP, but as a level 1 Hellspawn, we only gave 1 XP.
So I had to escape.
"Hey Markov." An old frail voice said to me.
I looked up to see an old Hellspawn with dulled grey hair and amber eyes. He could not remember his own name, so everyone called him Elder Who.
"Hi Elder Who."
He smiled, most people ignore him, so he is always happy when I talk back to him.
"How are you faring, with Lord Orchem around?" He asked me.
I sighed, Orchem was taxing us on all of the stuff we mined for his 'protection'. Not like we need that
"Terrible. I can't make enough money to sustain myself, I'm leaving. Tonight."
"Oh... but the guards will stop you."
"Not if they don't know."
Elder Who looked solemn. His face crunched up, and then he reached into his pocket to give me something. He pulled out a small charm. A small bone with a metal wire going through it, at each end of the wire, there was a red bead.
"Here, take this boy, it was your fathers. I hope you can find use in it."
I took the charm curiously and examined it.
[Charm of The Blood Bone - D rank charm - When possessing this charm, when significantly injured all attacks with weapons deal an increased 10% damage.]
That's pretty good, but I have to be bleeding to use it. And I don't have good recovery or regeneration.
"Thank you Elder."
He smiled again. And the he gave me 50 essence coins.
"Take these as well, to aid you on your journey."
He then shambled away.
I got up from the rock I was sitting on and walked inside my tent to prepare for my escape.
