The countdown didn't care about our feelings. Twenty-three days, then twenty-two, then twenty-one. Every time I blinked, another number felt smaller.
Keiji and Luna worked nonstop on the Abyssal Beast Dungeon guide while I sat with them, recalling every monster I'd fought, every trap that almost killed me, every cheap, unfair boss mechanic that still haunted me when I tried to sleep.
Luna's quill scratched over her notebook. "Floor thirty's hydras regenerate every twelve seconds unless you burn the stump with mana fire. Is that right?"
"Thirteen seconds," I corrected. "Floor thirty-five is the one with twelve."
Keiji leaned back, rubbing his temple. "Who designed this dungeon? A psychopath?"
I raised a brow. "Probably."
"I'm going to assassinate whoever made this world," Keiji muttered.
"Get in line," I sighed.
For three days we compiled everything.
By the time Keiji and Luna sent the guide to the other players, the entire world exploded like fireworks.
