Serena woke up to the sound of her alarm clock ringing through her room, she reached for it and turned it off, she tried getting up but was forced back down by her headache as she tossed and turned in her bed.
She looked up with her eyes hazy with sleep,she was greeted with the familiar interior of her room "how did I end up here" she said to herself, all she could remember was how terrible the day before was for her and the traumas she had been going through lately. She had wanted a time to herself, a time to meditate and get herself back together.
That was why she had gone to the the bar y-yes, the bar she thought to herself... WAIT!!! What the hell! She had actually gone to a bar, she said to herself,she had never gone to a bar before,never been to a club,never been to a night party, and not even to the movies or what so ever
"What was I thinking?"she said to herself as everything that was once a puzzle bagan to form itself in her head,she had gone to a bar and not only that she had given her first kiss to a total stranger.
She facepalmed herself "What would he think of me now and I don't even know his name" OMG she screamed.
Serena has always been the perfect daughter,the perfect granddaughter, the perfect friend and the perfect everything.she was kind to a fault,humble and well behaved. She is that kid every parents uses as an example to their children. Serena has never been in a relationship, she was know all through college has Ms goody two shoes because of her behavior towards boys,some even called her a lesbian but she never cared as long as it would keep the boys away from her.
"So, why did she kissed a total stranger and in a bar at that" she would have blamed it on the alcohol but she know she was not drunk and and was quite sobber when that happened, "WHY"
When Serena parents died she made a vow to never fall in love neither would she be in any kind of relationship ever
Her mother died when she was just 11years old from cancer of the heart,her father could not take the pain of loosing his wife and eventually followed her 2years after,it was a very traumatizing moment for her,forcing her to live with her maternal grandparents. Since then she had made a vow to not fall in love, but with him it felt so different, she find herself wanting to experience love even for a little bit.
Just then her cellphone beeped waking her up from her thoughts,she checked her phone it was a text message from her best friend "Rena, why have you not been picking up your calls" the text says
"Do you know how worried I had been" " when I see you I'm going to skin you alive" another text read.
Serena giggled at her friend never ending threats as she quickly replied " I'm fine, I went to a bar yesterday"
"YOU DID WHAT" " I'm coming cover right now" Kathy replied.
Serena could not stop herself from smiling

she could not fathom how she became friends with her. Kathy was the polar opposite of her,she came from an extremely wealthy home, her family wealth could not possibly be measure with words,she has such high iq and was very fashionable,she met her in college, and since then they have been best of friends. If anything Kathy was the one that formed the relationship with her and they've been inseparable since then. "Enough with the past"she thought to herself as she finally went to the bathroom to take her bath, luckily for her today was a Saturday, she was not going to work but to a children's shelter where she volunteered to help with the kids there. She came out of the bathroom wore her clothes and went downstairs to greet her grandparents and help them with breakfast, as soon as she was done with her breakfast she went back to her room after doing the dishes and laid down on the bed Her man could not help wandering to the strange man. " who was he and why was she drawn to him" Serena had never had a boyfriend and with the way her life was going she was not planning to have a boyfriend at all with all the traumas she experienced from her parents past relationships. " so,why was she having second thoughts" Just then she heard footsteps coming directly to her room she could already guess that it was Kathy,before her bedroom door was yanked open with a loud screeching sound. She turned with a smile " oh Kathy, how have you been?" She said as she reach to embrace her but Kathy swiftly maneuvered her, with her hands placed on her hips "Why haven't you been picking up your damn phone,Rena? Did you know how worried I was when I couldn't reach you yesterday, I had to bloody call your damn office and they told me you already went home,you know I can't call your grandparents because I don't want to worry them as well" she rambled on " if not for the fact that I was calling you and calli- Serena quickly hugged her "I'm fine Kathy, I know you must have been worried, it was not my intentions,I was just not in the right frame of mind yesterday" Serena said making her stop mid sentence " Reasons why you should have picked the god damn phone Renie, I should have been there for you" she said almost frustrated now "I'm sorry Kathy" she said with her puppy eyes. Kathy finally gave up, " you know I can't say or do anything when you give me those eyes" she said pouting "Okay, enough with that where did you say you went to again? OMG Rena, why would you go that kind of a place without my guidance" " chill,I think I found the one" Serena said blushing.
