Fortunately, the beast's hide was thick. As a fire-type magical beast, it wasn't particularly afraid of poison. Roaring in fury, it lunged at her again.
The two quickly clashed.
At Dou Huang level, their battle shook the heavens. A stretch of sky turned violet-blue, and waves of elemental energy surged wildly. Explosions echoed endlessly. The aftershocks split mountains and sent boulders tumbling.
Brilliant Dou Qi clashed again and again in the air.
It looked like a blockbuster battle scene.

She remained calm, raising her hand to conjure a massive deep-blue python, which charged at the flame pillars like a living creature.

A deafening explosion echoed across the clear sky.
Flames and serpent collided violently, releasing destructive energy. Even space itself rippled under the force.

After a few minutes of stalemate, the energy of both attacks waned. With a final deep rumble, they vanished into nothingness.
Cai Die and the lion floated on opposite sides of the sky, eyeing each other. In the end, both chose to stop. The lion now had a new respect for Cai Die's power. It had cooled down and didn't want to fight to the death over a few angry words.
As for pride—after a battle like that, any nearby Tier 4 or 5 magical beast would be more than intimidated.

She was trying to scare the lion off with a decisive strike.
The lion glanced at her and hesitated briefly, but then clenched its teeth and ignored her—choosing instead to dive at Yao Yan. It didn't care about offending her now. It had sensed that Yao Yan was hiding something valuable—eating him might accelerate its transformation into a human form!
Magical beasts couldn't cultivate like humans. They had to rely on time and consuming rare treasures to gather enough energy for breakthroughs.
Only after transformation could they truly escape this limitation!
Even if it meant offending that troublesome woman—it was worth it.
"…?!"
