Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Collecting the Debt

A rooster's crow awakened the small, sleeping village.

"Clang, clang, clang."

In the blacksmith shop, the sound of hammering rang out continuously.

Tang San swung the iron hammer, his clothes soaked with sweat, and every strike was powerful and vigorous.

"Stop for a moment. If you keep hammering like that, you won't be able to turn it into the size of a fist even in a year," Tang Hao said.

"Dad." The hammer in Tang San's hand stopped, and he looked at his father with confusion.

Although Tang Hao had interrupted Tang San, the surprise in his heart did not cease. At Tang San's age, he couldn't even lift a forging hammer.

As expected of someone with innate full soul power! Tang Hao thought to himself.

"Tell me, when you're forging, which part of your body exerts force first?" Tang Hao asked coolly.

Tang San thought for a moment and said, "It should be the waist. The waist drives the back, and then the back drives the arms to swing the forging hammer?"

Just as Tang Hao was about to correct Tang San, a series of urgent knocks came from outside.

"Bang, bang, bang."

"Blacksmith Tang, are you home?" Lu Feng's voice came from outside the door.

"Bang, bang, bang."

"Coming, coming!" Tang Hao walked impatiently to the door and pushed it open.

"It's so early in the morning, what do you want, you little brat..."

Before Tang Hao could finish his sentence, he suddenly saw the half a pig's head Lu Feng was carrying.

His cloudy expression instantly turned sunny, and he laughed loudly, "Haha, Lu Feng, you came, but why bring a gift? Did you run out of the last batch of arrowheads?"

Without waiting for Lu Feng to speak, Tang Hao snatched the pig's head from his hand.

After coming to Holy Spirit Village, Tang Hao missed his late wife all day and could only rely on alcohol to numb himself.

Gradually, he had grown accustomed to this life.

In the past, Tang Hao wouldn't have even glanced at food like pig's ear. But now, he felt it was the most delicious bar snack on the continent.

"Oh, Tang San is home too," Lu Feng said with a smile.

Judging by the situation, Tang Hao must be instructing Tang San in forging. It's not about coming early, but about coming at the right time! Lu Feng rejoiced inwardly.

"Lu Feng, what's the matter?" Tang San asked with a guilty conscience.

Tang San had actually forgotten about the last time he had cut corners, after all, so much time had passed.

However, with Lu Feng showing up at his door again, Tang San remembered it all at once.

He can't be that petty, right? Tang San prayed silently.

"Yes, I do need a new batch of arrowheads," Lu Feng replied casually.

Seeing Tang San's awkward demeanor, Lu Feng couldn't help but find it amusing. Tang San was a transmigrator, so how could he not even have this little bit of mental fortitude?

Lu Feng ignored Tang San and turned to Tang Hao, "I say, Blacksmith Tang, you're the number one blacksmith in our village. How could you let someone pull a fast one on you?"

"Hmm?" Hearing this, Tang Hao was momentarily confused.

"Lu Feng, what do you mean?"

Lu Feng took out several broken arrows from his pocket and handed them to Tang Hao. "These are the arrowheads you made for me before, right? Take a look, isn't this inferior material?"

"I ran into a wild boar last time and shot it right in the head. But it was still alive and kicking and charged straight at me."

As he spoke, Lu Feng pointed to the half a pig's head on the table. "There, that's the one."

Hearing this, Tang Hao picked up Lu Feng's arrowhead and examined it carefully.

As one of the three great Godly Craftsmen of the current era, Tang Hao's forging skills were far inferior to the other two. The title was more of a reputational one for him.

However, this did not mean his forging skills were poor.

"This is scrap iron. Let alone making arrowheads, it's not even qualified to make farm tools," Tang Hao said slowly.

After speaking, Tang Hao glanced at Tang San.

Meeting Tang Hao's gaze, Tang San immediately felt as if he were sitting on pins and needles, and his face turned bright red.

Seeing this, Tang Hao instantly understood what had happened.

With Tang San's forging skills, it was unlikely he couldn't even distinguish scrap iron. He most likely deliberately saved materials and used inferior ones to make his little gadgets.

Sigh, it seems Little San still has a lot to learn. Tang Hao thought to himself.

"That son of a bitch, Blacksmith Zhang, daring to sell me inferior materials. Hahaha, young Feng, I was the one who misjudged this time. I'll personally forge a batch of high-quality arrowheads for you later," Tang Hao said heartily.

"Come, Little San, give me the hammer!"

As he spoke, Tang Hao walked to the forging table and took the hammer from Tang San's hand.

"Lu Feng, I won't charge you this time. Consider it compensation."

Seeing his father apologize on his behalf, Tang San's eyes immediately reddened. Across two lifetimes, this was the first time he had felt fatherly love so clearly.

"Clang, clang, clang."

A series of hammering sounds rang out.

While forging, Tang Hao taught Tang San forging techniques, not shying away from Lu Feng, an outsider, at all.

After all, on the Douluo Continent, the status of a blacksmith was quite low.

"Little San, you must remember. If a person wants to exert all of their strength, then it must be the result of the calves and the heart working together."

"Watch!" Tang Hao gave a low shout as he slightly lifted the forging hammer in his hand.

He half-turned his body, his feet firmly planted on the ground. The two calves exposed by his tattered trousers instantly tensed up, and his whole body was like a tiger ready to pounce.

The legs exerted force, the waist twisted back, and the forging hammer was brought back in a single fluid motion.

"Clang!"

With a loud bang, the red-hot iron block was smashed, collapsing by nearly a third, its deformation extremely obvious.

"Nice!"

Lu Feng couldn't help but cheer as he watched Tang Hao's forging method.

This method of exerting force wasn't just for forging; it could also be used in combat.

A series of light clusters flashed by:

[Picked up a yellow skill [Forging] fragment *1]

[Picked up a yellow skill [Forging] fragment *1]

[Picked up a yellow skill [Forging] fragment *1]

With a thought, Lu Feng synthesized the [Forging] skill. Due to Tang Hao's exquisite technique, the synthesized forging skill was directly of yellow quality.

The excess [Forging Fragments] were dismantled by Lu Feng into skill light points, to be saved for future upgrades.

Fragments could not be upgraded before being synthesized.

After synthesizing a complete technique, skill, martial soul, or item, it could be upgraded using light points from fragments of the "same type".

Cultivation techniques could only be upgraded with 'cultivation technique light points'.

Martial souls could only be upgraded with 'martial soul light points'.

Furthermore, higher-quality light points could be used to upgrade lower-quality skills.

Back then, it had taken Lu Feng a full 100 'white skill light points' to upgrade [Hunting] from white to yellow quality.

If Lu Feng wanted, he could now spend 10 'yellow skill light points' to upgrade his white-quality [Farming] skill to yellow.

Perhaps because of Lu Feng's cheering, Tang Hao hammered with increasing vigor.

As the hammer bounced back due to the reaction force, Tang Hao suddenly turned, again exerting force from his calves. The rebounding hammer was swung up by him, circling once in the air.

"Clang!" Another loud bang.

This strike was not only incredibly fast, but its force was even stronger than the first.

The hammer bounced high into the air, and Tang Hao's movements achieved a perfect synergy with the hammer's rebound.

Not a moment too soon or too late, just as the hammer was about to reach its highest point, Tang Hao's body drove the hammer in a circle and brought it down again.

Lu Feng's eyes immediately lit up. This was clearly a method of borrowing force to exert force.

At the same time, a deep purple cluster of light dropped down:

[Picked up a purple skill [Disorderly Splitting Wind Hammer Method] fragment *1 (1/10)]

"Take these. The materials for this batch of arrowheads are all high-quality refined iron."

Tang Hao wrapped the arrowheads in a cloth and handed them to Lu Feng.

"Blacksmith Tang is truly the number one blacksmith in Holy Spirit Village. Your skill is this!"

As he spoke, Lu Feng gave Tang Hao a thumbs-up.

"Hahaha, get lost, get lost. I really took a big loss this time," Tang Hao laughed.

Lu Feng didn't stay any longer. He thanked Tang Hao and left the blacksmith shop.

This trip was a bountiful harvest!

However, he hadn't gone far when he suddenly heard Tang San's crying from behind him.

Lu Feng looked back and saw that the door of the blacksmith shop had been closed at some point.
