After Demetrius's operation, the chaos that had consumed my life finally stopped, letting everything return to its normal rhythm.
Three days later, I left work early and headed straight to the Callum Mansion to prepare dinner for my family.
I'd been working in the kitchen for about thirty minutes, getting everything ready, when Camila walked through the front door.
"Aunt Blanche, there's a delivery for you!"
Camila called out from the living room.
I stepped out of the kitchen and spotted an elegantly wrapped package sitting on the dining table.
Vincent. The thought hit me instantly.
Between all the drama with Demetrius, I'd pushed him completely out of my mind.
I'd convinced myself he was just playing games, that his promises would fade once the novelty wore off.
But nearly ten days had passed, and the gifts kept coming.
