Blanche's POV
I could practically see the wheels spinning in Nicholas's mind, but I wasn't about to waste time with explanations.
"Where are they?" I cut straight to business.
Nicholas picked up on my shift in energy immediately.
Back when I was constantly trailing after Zain, I'd been all smiles and eager to please with everyone around him.
Now, despite the ice in my eyes, Nicholas seemed more comfortable with this version of me.
Still, when I posed my question, he wavered.
Since he wasn't flat-out refusing, I locked eyes with him. "I'm dead serious. This is life or death. Extremely urgent."
Nicholas couldn't grasp what was happening, but the desperation in my gaze was crystal clear.
Finally, he gestured toward the hotel. "They're down at the beach, behind the hotel."
I didn't spare Nicholas another glance, though I managed a quick, "Thanks."
Then I headed straight for the hotel.
I didn't mention who I was seeking. I simply requested a room with beach access.
