"Run!"
The moment Eden's gaze silently shifted from Homelander's corpse to Train Head, Train Head's heart skipped a beat. Facing Eden, who could instantly kill Homelander, he had no intention of fighting and immediately turned to run.
Train Head: "Let me bully the weak, that's fine, but are you really taking me for a superhero?!"
"Pfft!"
However, the moment Train Head turned around, time in The Seven's conference room seemed to pause.
It was like a video that someone had suddenly hit the pause button on.
When time flowed again, Eden was already in front of Train Head.
"I can't stop!"
Train Head said with a look of terror.
"Pfft!"
And so, Train Head's head collided with Eden's fist, and his body instantly exploded like a bursting watermelon.
"Second one," Eden said, turning to look at Black Noir.
"Damn it," Black Noir, no longer pretending, cursed angrily, his eyes turning crimson and hot.
"Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle!"
Unfortunately, Eden's heat vision was faster than Black Noir's, cutting Black Noir in half at the waist.
Black Noir's internal organs scattered across the floor, and he lost his life.
"Third one."
Eden ignored Black Noir, whom he had cut open, and also ignored the blood-red mess on the floor. He directly activated his X-ray vision and began scanning the entire room.
"Found him!"
"You are the fourth."
Almost instantly, Eden pinpointed the location of the invisible man.
Eden lunged forward, arriving in front of the invisible man, who had believed that as long as he stood still and made no sound, Eden wouldn't be able to find him. Eden then punched and blew up the opponent's head.
"Ah…"
In an instant, only The Deep, Starlight, and Queen Maeve remained in the room.
The Deep was so scared he had peed himself. He muttered, "Damn it, if I survive today, I'll never set foot on land again! I'll spend the rest of my life with the octopuses in the sea."
"…Three, two, one."
It was at this moment that the countdown ended.
"Buzz!"
Eden instantly vanished from The Seven's conference room.
"Phew."
The remaining members of The Seven—The Deep, Starlight, and Queen Maeve—sighed in relief after seeing Eden disappear. They slumped into their seats, drenched in sweat and looking dazed.
"What in the world just happened?!"
At this moment, the door to The Seven's conference room was pushed open. The Vought International executive, seeing the bodies strewn across the floor, said frantically, "Damn it! Homelander and Black Noir, are both of them dead?"
"Do you know how much money it costs the company to train those two?"
"This is insane!"
The Vought International executive couldn't believe that everything in front of him was real.
On the other side.
Eden also returned to his room.
"It's done."
"First, I'll take a shower."
"To get rid of the smell of blood."
Eden looked at the grime on his body, yawned, and went to the shower to clean himself.
"Just thinking about how my damn system will finally quiet down for another month makes me incredibly happy."
Eden muttered to himself deep down.
"Oh, right, System, let me ask you something."
"Is it true that as long as you're with me, no other OBA candidates can invade my world, and I can only invade other candidates' worlds?!"
"Am I right?"
After showering, Eden asked his useless system.
"Yes, Master."
The system immediately replied.
"Very good."
Eden smiled.
He had to admit, his damn system did have some good points.
"But dear Master, if other OBA candidates are already in the same universe as you, then the system cannot guarantee that they won't come looking for you~"
However, before Eden could fully relax, the stupid system's prompt sounded in Eden's mind again.
"What do you mean by that?"
Eden's heart suddenly skipped a beat.
"According to the system's authority, besides you, there is one other OBA candidate in this universe, and this candidate will arrive on Earth in one month."
"If nothing unexpected happens, he will be your opponent in the next gladiatorial arena. Please be sure to prepare for battle."
The system replied.
"Who?!"
Eden asked, his brows tightly furrowed.
Honestly, with Eden's current strength, he feared no one in the material realm of the entire universe, except for a select few individuals.
This wasn't like the perilous Marvel, or the constantly rebooting DC.
"His name is Berserker Beast!"
The system quickly replied.
"Damn it."
Eden was so exasperated by the system's reply that he laughed.
Who is Berserker Beast?
The undisputed king of one-on-one combat in the entire universe!
The man who could go head-to-head with Regent Creg of Viltrum without falling behind.
It could be said that throughout the entire universe, Berserker Beast's one-on-one combat ability was at least second, if not first.
"What kind of ridiculous matchmaking mechanism is this?"
"First round I fight Homelander, second round I fight Berserker Beast?! The power difference between these two characters is a bit too much, isn't it, you scoundrel!"
"What's the difference between this and, in a fantasy RPG, me just getting out of the Novice Village with a beginner's sword, killing a slime, and then being told to fight the Demon King one-on-one?!"
Eden was stunned.
"Master, don't panic."
"This is where the gladiatorial arena's second function comes in."
"You can conduct combat simulation training while you sleep."
At this point, the system started to offer another clever solution.
"What do you mean by combat simulation training?"
Eden asked.
"You can freely select the opponent you wish to fight and your desired combat location from the system's database. The system will simulate a prototype of that character based on data for you to train against."
The system replied.
"Is that so?"
"Who is currently in the system's database?"
Eden asked.
"Please wait."
"Currently, the system's database includes all members of the Global Guardians, all members of the Teen Team, Omni-Man, Re-Gen, etc."
After some analysis, the system provided a long list of characters.
"Re-Gen?"
Eden paused when he saw Re-Gen, then shook his head and said, "Re-Gen is magic-sided."
"The Teen Team and Global Guardians are too weak."
"So the only person suitable for my training is my great mother, Omni-Man?"
"Damn it, is there no escaping this mother-son dynamic?"
Eden felt a bit exasperated. He had already realized that this damn system was just trying to find different ways to watch him and Nolan engage in a mother-son dynamic.
"Respected Master, the Omni-Man data recorded by this system is Nolan Grayson, not Nolan Kent. Please rest assured on this point."
The system replied.
"Nolan Grayson?!"
"That's a bit interesting!"
Eden's eyes lit up slightly at the words.
He had to admit, the system's answer dispelled Eden's concerns.
"Then let's do it!"
"You're the one, Nolan Grayson, the 'Omni-Man' of the main universe!"
Eden decided.
"Location?"
The system continued to ask.
"Random."
Eden replied without hesitation.
"As you command."
"Simulating."
"Simulated character confirmed: Nolan Grayson."
"Simulated combat location confirmed: Above New York subway station."
At Eden's command, the system quickly helped Eden with the simulation.
"Buzz!"
With the system's help, Eden, who had returned to bed and closed his eyes, felt a dizzying sensation in his brain. The scene around him shifted, eventually appearing above New York.
"Intruder?"
"Kid, this is my territory!"
In the sky, Nolan, wearing his 'Omni-Man' battle suit, said coldly after seeing Eden.
"He can even talk? The simulated character from the system is quite realistic."
Eden looked at Nolan in front of him and commented, then he looked at the battle suit on Nolan and then at his own pajamas, saying, "System, please give me a suitable battle suit, thank you."
"As you command."
The system said, directly putting Eden into a battle suit that closely resembled 'Absolute Superman'.
