"Yeah, that's him."
"Tsk tsk, I wonder who's the unlucky one this time. As long as it's not us, I'm fine. I heard the girl from last time survived but she is not able to have children anymore. No idea what kind of torture he forced on that girl."
Callie felt her scalp tingle with fear, especially when she heard Shane's name in their conversation.
Her heart raced, and her palms grew sweaty.
Soon, the elevator stopped.
Seeing her pale face, Henry kindly reminded her, "You know very well how you married President Robinson. If you sign the divorce papers now, you can avoid tonight's ordeal."
Indeed, the Robinson Family owed the Norris Family a favor. When the Norris Family made their request, the Robinson family couldn't refuse. However, if Callie agreed to the divorce, the matter would be settled.
Callie looked at Henry, her body trembling slightly. If she could refuse, she wouldn't have stepped into the Robinson Family's door in the first place.
She wouldn't have given Shane the chance to corner her.
Taking a deep breath, she stepped out of the elevator. Henry frowned but said nothing more, leading her into a luxurious private room.
Under the dim lighting, she immediately spotted Shane sitting on the sofa, along with another man beside him.
"Well, well," the man said as soon as she entered, his eyes unabashedly scanning her from head to toe. "Not bad.
Skin as white as snow, a slender waist. She'd be soft to hold."
He waved his hand. "Come over here, sit next to me."
Callie looked at Shane.
He leaned back, his legs elegantly crossed, his entire face hidden in the shadows.
She couldn't make out a single expression on his face.
The man stood up and casually draped his arm over her shoulder.
With a sly smile, he asked Shane, "Where did you find her? She's much more pleasing than those heavily made-up ladies. Her fresh, natural look is just my type."
Shane remained silent and didn't stop the man's actions. Was that a tacit approval?
Callie felt a chill run through her spine. She tightened her grip on her bag.
"Do you drink?" the man asked, his hand moving toward her waist.
Disgusted by his touch, she shifted her body away. "No, I don't."
"No problem, I'll teach you." The man poured a full glass of wine and brought it to her lips.
She turned her head to avoid it, but the man pulled her into his arms. She struggled, "Let go of me..."
"Entertaining my guest is part of your job," Shane's body leaned forward, his sharp features more pronounced under the light.
He looked up, his eyes calm and his furrowed brows cold and unfeeling. "If you can't do it, then pack your things and get out!"
She had thought he didn't like her, at most he would treat her like trash and air.
But she hadn't expected him to be so despicable.
"I'll drink," she said, pushing the man away.
Taking the glass of wine from his hand, she hesitated for a moment before tilting her head back and downing it.
This was her first time drinking.
She drank too quickly, and the alcohol burned its way from her throat to her stomach.
It was both fiery and spicy.
Her delicate brows furrowed, making her look alluring. The man couldn't wait any longer.
"Mr.Robinson, can I take her away?"
Callie felt a sudden jolt of fear and instinctively wanted to escape. But the moment she looked up, she met a deep, dark gaze that seemed as black as night. She froze in place. Was this man deliberately trying to humiliate her?
Shane quickly looked away. "Do as you please."
The man grinned and immediately wrapped his arm around Callie. This time, she didn't struggle.
She followed the man out of the private room.
Henry approached. "Miss Norris left with Kane Ortiz... I'm afraid her innocence is at risk. She..."
Although he wanted her to give up and agree to a divorce, he didn't intend for her to actually lose her virginity.
Shane poured himself a drink and downed it in one gulp, his eyes cold and predatory. "Do you think she's that pure?"
Henry was taken aback, his eyes widening in shock. Could it be that the Norris family was not only greedy but also sent an impure woman?
He suddenly felt a surge of anger. He had even felt a bit of sympathy for Callie.
It hardly seemed worth feeling sorry for her now.
"Even though she knows we're making things difficult for her, she still refuses to initiate the divorce. It looks like she won't give in easily," Henry said.
Does she really want to cling to the Robinson Family?
"Mr. Robinson..."
"Let's go," Shane interrupted, his expression calm, clearly not wanting to hear any more about Callie.
Henry wisely kept quiet and went ahead to open the door.
Sitting in the car, the fleeting scenery outside passed by quickly, but Shane's mind was filled with the image of that woman willingly leaving with Kane.
She knew exactly what would happen, yet she still agreed?
That woman...
"Turn around."
Henry was momentarily stunned but quickly understood and immediately turned the car back toward the club.
However, they didn't find her at the club; they were told she had left.
Shane Robinson's face darkened as he ordered Henry to head back to the villa.
But she wasn't at the villa either; it was clear Callie hadn't returned yet.
"Go find..."
Just as Shane began to speak, the door opened, and Callie's voice followed.
"Mrs. Ford..."
Callie wasn't much of a drinker; just one glass had her feeling tipsy. If it weren't for the calm and self-control her profession demanded, she might not have made it back at all.
However, there stood Mrs. Ford, hesitant to move forward.
"Mrs. Ford..."
As she called out again, she finally noticed the man standing in the living room.
Hadn't he given her to that sleazy guy? Why did he show up again? To laugh at her?
Ha!
"Shane Robinson?!" She pointed at the man exuding a menacing aura. Perhaps it was because of the alcohol, her courage had swelled, and fear was a foreign concept to her at that moment. "You— you're such a jerk!"
Shane's face darkened instantly.
Henry and Mrs. Ford kept their heads down, not even daring to breathe.
Callie staggered her way over, grabbing Shane's tie and yanking him toward her. "Do you think I actually wanted to marry you? Do you think you're some kind of king?"
The overwhelming smell of alcohol made Shane frown continuously, a hint of anger flickering in his eyes.
He swiftly grabbed her wrist. "I think you've lost your mind."
What kind of woman would follow any man?
He wanted her to back off, but she was as stubborn as a mule, refusing to let go.
The moment Callie followed Kane, he regretted it. This woman, no matter what, was his wife in name. The thought of her being tainted disgusted him.
"You're the crazy one." Callie's hands were restless, tearing at him recklessly under the influence of alcohol.
Revenge for letting that man take advantage of her!
Shane's face turned completely cold as he grabbed her wrist and dragged her upstairs.
Callie tried to break free, "Let go of me, let go of me..."
Bang!
The bedroom door was kicked open, and Shane threw her inside.
Callie lost her balance and fell to the ground, hitting her knee. "Ah, mm~" She clutched her knee in pain.
That pained gasp made Shane pause.
That moan...
