Chapter 8 - Full armed equipment

Some of these people were fiddling with their daggers, while others were drinking. The room was filled with the smell of cigars and alcohol.

At this time, a burly white man asked Jack curiously, "Jack, is he from Sakura Country?"

Generally, there were few Asians who came here to buy weapons, so he was very curious.

In addition, Chen Feng never stayed for long each time he came, so not many people knew him.

Chen Feng took a look and saw that the white man was covered with dense tattoos, even his face was covered with tattoos, and he looked ugly like a monster.

Before Jack could answer, Chen Feng took the lead and said,

  "I am from Dragon Country."

This was not the first time Chen Feng had been asked if he was from Sakura Country in a foreign country.

Because these foreigners were generally not very friendly to Dragon Country people.

Some foreigners, even if they knew you were from Dragon Country, would deliberately ask if you were from Sakura Country to annoy you.

The tattooed foreigner smiled. "So you're a friend from an ancient country in the far east. As far as I know, your country has the strictest gun control. Aren't you afraid of getting into trouble by buying weapons?"

Chen Feng ignored the other party's question and sat there, gazing calmly at him.

The tattooed foreigner waited for a long time without receiving a response from Chen Feng, feeling immediately frustrated.

If anyone else had treated him this way, he would have been furious. But for some reason, the moment he met Chen Feng's gaze, he felt uneasy.

His instinct told him that this Dragon Countryman was not to be trifled with. Jack then said, "My friend Chen isn't very sociable, so don't ask."

Jack immediately sided with Chen Feng, smoothing things over.

Just kidding, Chen Feng was his stable and important client; he knew who was more important.

As Jack spoke, the gazes toward Chen Feng in the room shifted noticeably, no longer the previous contempt.

A few even smiled at him in a friendly manner.

Ten minutes later, several more people entered the room, bringing the total to ten.

Jack stood up and said,"Guys, we're all here. Follow me."

Jack then led everyone to the bar's basement, which served as the gang's armory. Drugs and other items weren't sold there.

According to information Chen Feng had previously gathered, Jack's gang sold everything, even people.

Freedom was indeed freedom in the Eagle Sauce, but the darkness beneath that freedom was even more terrifying.

Arriving in the basement, Chen Feng was greeted by rows of weapons hanging on the walls.

Pistols, submachine guns, rifles—everything was available.

"Feel free to choose. If you want to inquire about the price, come to me,"

Jack said, and sat down, waiting for everyone to select their weapons.

Chen Feng didn't choose, knowing that asking the person in charge was the easiest way to find out the best deals. He approached Jack.

"Chen, what would you like to buy?"

Jack handed Chen Feng a cigar. Chen Feng took the cigar but didn't smoke it; he didn't like it.

"Pistols, grenades, body armor, sniper rifles—get me a set, the best of everything."

Chen Feng's words drew the attention of many in the room.

Chen Feng truly had a lot to ask for: a complete set of equipment, battlefield-ready.

"Chen, what are you doing? Are you going to war?" Jack asked, surprised.

"You're in business, and you're asking why?" Chen Feng retorted.

Jack spread his hands. "Okay, I'll help you choose!"

In a matter of moments, Jack had selected a large collection of equipment and presented it to Chen Feng.

He first took out a pistol and handed it to Chen Feng. The pistol's design was compact and elegant, its streamlined exterior and matte finish giving it the appearance of a work of art. It also featured a red dot sight, a silencer, and an extended grip.

"The Taran 2011 Combat Master pistol—this is the latest arrival. It feels great in the hand and can be quickly deployed in any emergency. It can be switched between single-fire and burst fire modes, and its rate of fire is sure to impress you."

  Jack gave an introduction.

At the same time, he also demonstrated the quick disassembly.

Chen Feng had heard of the name of this gun. It was a pistol specially used for competitions.

Seeing that Chen Feng did not speak, Jack continued to introduce. This time he took out a bulletproof vest.

"Chen, this is the best bulletproof vest we have here. There are only three sets. It is called "Interceptor". It is equipped with boron carbide bulletproof ceramic inserts inside. It can not only protect your neck, chest and back, but also your crotch."

After speaking, Jack also glanced at Chen Feng's crotch with a playful look. Chen Feng directly ignored his gaze. He looked at the sniper rifle next to him.

"Remington 700, the range can reach one thousand meters. I don't need to introduce this thing. It is very famous all over the world."

Jack placed the gun next to Chen Feng. Chen Feng picked it up, tested it, and then asked, "How much are these?"

Jack immediately said,"Chen, you're a regular customer, so we'll give you the biggest discount. All of this, plus ten grenades, fifty rounds of 9mm pistol ammunition, and thirty rounds of 7.62 sniper ammunition, for a total of one hundred thousand. Plus, I'll give you a complete set of tactical gear. What do you think?"

A hundred thousand dollars—many times higher than the normal price of these firearms. But that's how the black market works; things are more expensive than what you'd get through legitimate channels.

"Deal, come with me to get the money." Chen Feng agreed immediately. He could afford the hundred thousand dollars.

Although it was a bit much this time, it was worth it to ensure his safety in the scroll world.

He knew Jack hadn't really screwed him over. The body armor was worth about fifty thousand.

The Eagle Country didn't ban guns, but it did ban high-end body armor, making good quality hard to come by.

  Jack immediately beamed.

"My friend, you're still so forthcoming. I'll have someone pack it for you right now."

He then called over a few of his men to help him pack the items. The other buyers in the room stared at Chen Feng in shock. Chen Feng's offer truly stunned them.

Most of them came here to buy a pistol or a rifle at most.

For someone like Chen Feng to come right out and buy $100,000 worth of equipment was incredibly rare.

Ignoring the other's shocked looks, Chen Feng and Jack left the basement together.

Jack didn't bother to greet the other buyers, leaving them to his men. Taking care of this important client, Chen Feng, was paramount.

Driving to a nearby bank, Chen Feng withdrew $100,000 in cash and gave it to Jack.

Jack beamed upon receiving the money and handed the items to Chen Feng.

"My friend, welcome back next time,"

Chen Feng said without further ado, picking up his gear and leaving.

Jack waved goodbye to Chen Feng, having grown accustomed to his way of doing business.

He didn't return to his car until Chen Feng disappeared.

A younger brother asked Jack, "Boss, why did he buy so many weapons this time? Longguo is a country with a gun ban. What if something goes wrong?"

The younger brother was still a little worried. If Chen Feng used all this equipment to cause trouble in Longguo, it would be troublesome.

Although Longguo couldn't interfere in the affairs of the Eagle Sauce, it could put pressure on the Eagle Sauce officials, and then the FBI would have to settle accounts with them.

The Eagle Sauce also turned a blind eye to the black market transactions, but if something serious happened, no one would be able to cover it.

"Although I don't know why he needs so much equipment, Chen is not stupid. He has traded with us many times and nothing has ever happened. We should trust our friends."

After saying this, Jack kissed the green bills.

Jack was still very confident in Chen Feng. Nothing had ever happened with him.

He also judged that the weapons Chen Feng bought were not to be taken back to Longguo, because they would not pass the immigration checkpoint.

So he didn't worry that Chen Feng would cause trouble in Longguo and affect their gang.
