Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Harry's Emotion, Repaying the Improved Formula Loan

"Because of the trust you've placed in me, I cannot tolerate teaching you incorrect or careless knowledge."

Leo's words struck Harry like lightning, leaving him completely stunned. Before entering the magical world, Harry had lived with his aunt's family, always being a child who was despised and mocked constantly.

After discovering magic, he transformed into "The Boy Who Lived", and most people treated him more out of curiosity about a legend than genuine personal interest.

Sometimes Harry really wanted to shout, 'I'm Harry; I'm just Harry!'

He hadn't expected Leo to value his trust so deeply, to respect him in such a meaningful way.

"Leo, I... I will study seriously! Thank you!"

Harry didn't know how to express his overwhelming emotion and joy, finally condensing those feelings into a heartfelt promise and grateful thanks.

Leo patted Harry's shoulder reassuringly: "Don't overthink it. Let's continue studying."

Harry nodded emphatically and began following Leo's careful guidance, adding materials to the cauldron one by one for proper brewing.

This time he showed no hesitation or confusion, seriously focusing on the potion-making process.

Finally, a cauldron of light blue liquid with a subtle, ethereal glow was completely brewed to perfection.

Examining the colour and gently waving his hand to assess the aroma, Leo nodded with approval.

"Try it... your first successful potion."

Harry felt genuinely excited, using slightly trembling hands to scoop up a spoonful of liquid and transfer it into a small metal vial. This represented probably one complete dose. Harry swallowed nervously, then boldly drained the Eye-Brightening Potion he'd brewed himself.

Watching Harry's dramatic posture, Leo found it quite amusing. How did this kid manage to drink medicine with the determined momentum of downing a bottle of strong alcohol?

A faint blue radiance appeared in Harry's eyes, then flashed brilliantly before disappearing entirely.

Removing his glasses with obvious anticipation, Harry surveyed the room carefully, his tone filled with excitement: "I can see clearly! My potion actually worked!"

"Thank you, Leo, thank you so much!"

Perhaps due to the Eye-Brightening Potion's magical effects combined with removing his glasses, Harry's emerald green almond-shaped eyes appeared even brighter and more vivid than before.

Leo felt quite satisfied with this outcome. Besides Harry, Snape probably should thank him even more enthusiastically.

Eye-Brightening Potions weren't particularly difficult to master, and Leo believed Snape could easily brew potions to permanently cure nearsightedness if he chose.

So why couldn't Snape simply give Harry a bottle directly?

If the professor couldn't swallow his pride sufficiently, couldn't he just secretly mix the healing potion into Harry's food or drink?

Unless... was it that the old bat wanted to see those emerald eyes but didn't dare remove the barrier of glasses to look directly, afraid he'd think of her who could no longer open her eyes, of her who had passed these distinctive features to Harry?

"Very well executed, Harry. You're actually quite naturally suited for learning Potions."

Leo offered direct praise and encouragement. He understood that for children this age, appropriate positive reinforcement proved extremely important for continued progress.

Sure enough, obvious excitement immediately appeared across Harry's features.

"Thank you! It's because you taught so well, Leo!"

Leo nodded approvingly. The child was definitely teachable.

"Excellent. Now, without me supervising, brew the Eye-Brightening Potion again completely by yourself."

Harry appeared stunned and released a confused "Ah?"

"While the feeling and muscle memory are still fresh, practise several more times to master this knowledge more thoroughly."

Leo also recognised that children this age easily became overconfident after initial success, and repeated practice remained crucially important for true competence.

Regarding Leo's instruction, Harry now harboured no doubt whatsoever and immediately began cleaning his cauldron to prepare for independent brewing.

Leo himself walked toward the basin-sized cauldron Hagrid had generously provided, while mentally communicating with his system:

"I want to borrow Basic Finished Potions daily loans, customising Multi-Growth Fertiliser, Weed-Away herbicide, Bug-Be-Gone pesticide, and Stealth Essential Oil. Five portions each of the first three types, one portion of stealth oil."

Leo calculated that since fertiliser, herbicide, and pesticide had high practical demand, he might as well brew substantial quantities at once. Moreover, Hagrid's oversized cauldron was large enough that brewing everything simultaneously would save considerable time and effort.

[Items delivered to system space, available for collection anytime]

[Task: Successfully brew five portions each of Multi-Growth Fertiliser, Weed-Away, and Bug-Be-Gone potions and one portion of Stealth Essential Oil.]

Leo began processing required materials efficiently. Regarding these three types of agricultural potions plus the stealth oil formula exchanged from Snape, he had already memorised every ingredient and procedure perfectly.

His brewing speed proved remarkably fast. Benefiting from precise magical control, Leo directly employed spells to help rapidly process raw materials, then controlled the prepared components to fly into the large cauldron for sequential brewing.

Of course, such techniques weren't permitted in Snape's strictly regulated classroom environment. But the professor wouldn't come flapping over in his dramatic cloak here.

Harry had just finished brewing one Eye-Brightening Potion independently when Leo had already completed four different types of potions in rapid succession.

[Ding! Host has successfully brewed five different potions. Improved Potion Formula weekly loan repayment completed successfully!]

Paying off debts felt absolutely wonderful.

After checking Harry's solo work, Leo identified remaining shortcomings and provided specific correction methods for improvement.

Observing that both students had finally finished their intensive work and seemed to have available time, Hagrid, who had been watching respectfully from a distance, rubbed his enormous hands together and couldn't help speaking:

"You can really brew proper potions?"

He felt embarrassed admitting he'd initially thought the two young wizards were simply playing around casually, not expecting that learning potions genuinely meant serious magical education.

Harry regarded Hagrid with obvious confusion, not understanding what the half-giant wanted to express.

Leo presented the three types of agricultural potions he'd just completed to Hagrid with a generous spirit.

"Hagrid, these potions serve as fertiliser, herbicide, and pesticide, respectively. I noticed you've cultivated many vegetables in that nearby garden. You should definitely be able to use these formulations effectively."

"Thank you for providing us with workspace and materials so generously."

Leo disliked owing people favours. If he could repay kindness appropriately, he would always make the effort.

Moreover, through system loans, he had essentially obtained extra potions completely free of charge. Better to give these ready-made agricultural potions to Hagrid as proper thanks for his invaluable assistance.

Hagrid wanted to push the bottles back but worried his tremendous strength might accidentally hurt Leo, so he simply waved his massive hands repeatedly:

"No, no, no! Harry is my friend; you're Harry's friend. I'm genuinely happy to help you both. You don't need to give me these valuable things."

Leo smiled warmly. This half-giant was indeed a straightforward and wonderfully kind person.

"Actually, Hagrid, I'm Harry's friend, and Harry is your friend, so that makes you my friend as well. What's wrong with helping a friend grow bigger and more delicious vegetables?"
