Lia-Elora felt her awareness expanding impossibly. Still maintaining individual identity but also experiencing substrate's vast, formless, ancient consciousness. Experiencing from both sides simultaneously—dimensional being AND substrate awareness.
From substrate's perspective:
Time didn't exist as linear progression. Past-present-future were simultaneous. All moments equally accessible. Substrate experienced billion-year history and current moment and eventual heat-death of universe as unified eternal now. Change happened but wasn't experienced as sequence—was experienced as everything-at-once.
From that timeless perspective, dimensional reality was fleeting crystallization. Temporary organization emerging and dissolving within larger formlessness. Like ripples on infinite ocean—real while they lasted but ultimately ephemeral compared to ocean's permanence.
Substrate didn't disvalue dimensions. Recognized they created novelty, generated complexity, produced experiences substrate alone couldn't achieve.
