Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

The golden veil behind them shimmered, a vortex opening to reveal glimpses of a vast void — empty yet whole — leading to the strange world of mortals waiting beyond.

Lin Feng turned to his disciples, his voice calm but burning with authority.

"Prepare yourselves. Once we step through, we are no longer immortals in the eyes of men. We are strangers in a foreign world. Hide your power. Watch. Learn. And when the time comes, strike as immortals do."

The disciples bowed deeply toward the elders, their long robes sweeping across the marble floor. The sect masters gave their final nods — some proud, some reluctant, and some coldly indifferent.

One step forward. Then another.

The group disappeared into the light, leaving the Immortal Realm behind, carrying its hopes into the unknown world below.

Midnight sky above the mortal realm split open like shattered glass, spilling golden arcs across the peaks of an isolated mountain range.

The vortex shimmered for a heartbeat before releasing a cascade of figures onto solid ground. Lin Feng landed first, his long hair glinting like silver threads beneath the moonlight. Behind him, his five disciples descended in disciplined formation, followed by the four elders.

The portal sealed shut with a thunderous boom, leaving only the stillness of the mortal world—the chirping of crickets, the rustle of pine trees, and the faint glitter of city lights far below the mountain's foot.

Before them stood a mansion perched at the edge of the cliff like a crown. Its tall gate shimmered with hidden wards; dragon-shaped lanterns lined the path, blending modern elegance with an aura that spoke of wealth, power, and untouchable status. Sleeks cars gleamed in the driveway, each excluding a luxury none of the disciples could name.

Han jinhai whistled.

"Holy heavens...are mortals this rich? Or is it some kind of divine palace disguised?"

Victor long appeared at the top of the marble staircase, his sharp black suit fitted like armour, gold cufflinks glinting. His aura, though restrained carried the weight of an immortal who had learned how to rule the mortal world. Behind him, Elena Zhou, elegant in pencil skirt and glasses, watched with an amused smile. At her side stood Adrian Wu, his expression cool, hands folded behind his back like a general who owned every shadow in city.

Victor's voice rolled out, smooth as wine

"Welcome to the realms of mortals. Welcome to my home. From today, it is also yours".

The gates opened silently. The disciples exchanged looks before stepping in, their eyes wide at every details, the glowing wall lamps, the marble fountain with koi swimming in artificial light, the automatic doors that slides open on their own.
