Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: corrupting Yuki-chan

Yuki woke up Monday morning to his alarm and immediately checked his phone. Three messages from Mizuki, all sent late last night after he'd fallen asleep.

Mizuki: I had such a nice time walking with you Friday!

Mizuki: We should do it again soon!

Mizuki: Sweet dreams, Yuki-kun

His face warmed at the casual use of "-kun" instead of the more formal "-san." They'd only known each other for a few days, really. Was that too familiar? Or was he overthinking it?

He typed back a simple "Good morning" and set his phone aside to get ready.

The weekend had been quiet. He'd caught up on homework, read more of his Lookism manhwa, and tried not to think too much about the kiss at the train station. His lips still tingled when he remembered it—Mizuki's soft warmth, the vanilla scent of her perfume, the way she'd smiled at him after.

His first real kiss.

The System had counted it. Quest 2 was complete. He should feel accomplished, but instead, he just felt nervous about what came next.

The System said 24-48 hours before the next quest. That means it could appear today...

Yuki went through his morning routine, ate breakfast with his mother (who kept smiling at him in that soft way she'd been doing since the Charm Aura activated), and headed to school.

The walk was peaceful. Monday mornings were always quiet—everyone too tired from the weekend to be energetic yet. Yuki pulled out his phone and continued reading his Lookism manhwa while walking, his hardcopy was already finished. Daniel had just gotten involved with the god dog gang in the latest chapter. The concept was fascinating—what would it be like to have two completely different forms?

"Yuki-chan!"

He looked up to see Tanaka jogging toward him, uniform already rumpled despite it being 7:45 AM.

"Morning, Tanaka-san."

"Dude, how are you feeling? You okay after Friday?" Tanaka fell into step beside him, genuine concern in his voice. "You kinda freaked us out when you left so suddenly."

"I'm fine," Yuki said softly. "Just... got overwhelmed. Sorry for worrying everyone."

"No, no, don't apologize! We were just concerned." Tanaka grinned. "Plus Mizuki said you were okay when she walked you to the station, so that was good. She's really nice, isn't she?"

"Yeah... she is." Yuki's face felt warm.

"Dude, I think she likes you." Tanaka nudged him with his elbow. "Like, really likes you. She kept talking about you after you left. Asked me all these questions about what you like, what you do for fun, stuff like that."

Yuki's stomach flipped nervously. "She did?"

"Yep! You should totally ask her out properly. She'd definitely say yes."

Are we not already... something? We kissed. Does that mean we're dating? Should I have asked her officially? How does this work?

They reached the school gates. Tanaka waved and jogged off to find his other friends, leaving Yuki to climb the stairs to the third floor alone.

Class 3-B was moderately full when he arrived. Yuki made his way to his seat in the back corner, pulled out his textbook, and tried to look busy.

"Nakamura-kun?"

He looked up. Yoshida-san from the front row was standing beside his desk again, looking nervous.

"Yes?"

"Um... thank you for helping me with chemistry last week. It really helped! I got a good score on the quiz." She bowed slightly. "You're a really good teacher."

"Oh... I'm glad it helped." Yuki's voice came out quiet. "It wasn't a big deal..."

"It was to me!" She smiled brightly, then hesitated. "If you ever need help with anything, just let me know, okay?"

She hurried back to her seat before he could respond. Sato, who'd witnessed the exchange, gave Yuki a knowing look.

"Another lady?," Sato said, grinning.

"I don't—that's not—" Yuki pulled his hood up slightly, hiding his face. "She was just being nice."

Homeroom started. Kojima-sensei took attendance, made announcements about the upcoming school festival, and reminded them about next week's exams. Yuki took notes automatically, his mind wandering.

The first two periods passed uneventfully. Japanese literature was analyzing poetry, which Yuki normally enjoyed, but today he couldn't focus. Math was derivatives again—he'd already mastered the material, so he just worked ahead in his textbook.

Then, halfway through third period chemistry, it happened.

A notification appeared in the corner of his vision.

[◈ NEW QUEST AVAILABLE ◈]

Yuki's breath caught. His pencil stilled on his notebook. The teacher didnt seem to notice him and continued explaining but his voice faded to background noise.

Already? It's only been two days since Quest 2...

He focused on the notification, and it expanded:

[◈ QUEST 3 OF 10: INTIMATE TOUCH ◈]

[OBJECTIVE: Allow another person to touch you intimately.]

[TIME LIMIT: 72 Hours]

[REWARDS:]

Body Sensitivity Enhancement (Passive)

200 XP

100 LP

[FAILURE PENALTY:]

-15 Confidence

-10 Appeal

System Compatibility -10%

[CURRENT TIME REMAINING: 71:58:44]

[NOTE: time to really crack that cherry.]

Yuki stared at the glowing text, his face burning hot. His hands gripped his desk.

Intimate touch. cracking cherries, he liked to bite into them though.

His mind was spinning. The last quest had just been a simple kiss. This was... this was so much more. How was he supposed to let someone touch him like that?

Oh no. Oh no, oh no, oh no.

"Nakamura-kun?"

He jumped. The chemistry teacher was looking at him expectantly.

"Could you answer question three on the board?"

Yuki hadn't been paying attention at all. He looked at the board, at the molecular diagram, and somehow his brain supplied the answer automatically. "Um... covalent bonding with electron sharing they are linear due to the lack of more than two lone pairs?"

"Correct. Pay attention, please."

"Sorry, sensei."

The quest notification minimized to the corner of his vision, the timer ticking down steadily. Yuki tried to focus on class, but his mind kept circling back to the quest requirements.

Seventy-two hours. Three days. I have to let someone touch me. Intimately. Where? How? With who?

Mizuki's face appeared in his mind. They'd kissed. She'd said they should hang out again. Would she...? Could he ask her...?

But how do I even bring that up? "Hey, would you mind touching me inappropriately?" That's so weird!

By lunch, Yuki's anxiety had spiraled into a tight knot in his chest. He pulled out his convenience store onigiri and his manhwa, trying to distract himself.

The classroom was loud with lunch conversations. Most people had formed their usual groups. Yuki sat alone at his desk, which was normally fine, but today it just gave him too much time to think about the quest.

"Nakamura-kun?"

He looked up. A girl he vaguely recognized from another class was standing beside his desk.

Wait. Not just any girl. Aiko—the second-year who'd crashed into him on the stairs. The one who'd apologized multiple times and asked if she could buy him lunch.

"Oh, Aiko-san. Hi."

"Hi!" She smiled nervously, holding a bento box. "Um... is it okay if I eat lunch with you? I know that's kind of weird, just showing up like this, but I saw you were alone and thought maybe..."

"Oh... sure." Yuki moved his bag so she could pull up a chair.

Aiko sat down, looking relieved. "Thank you! I've been wanting to talk to you again but didn't know how to approach you. You're always so busy and surrounded by people."

"I'm not really..." Yuki trailed off. Was he surrounded by people? Lately it felt like more people approached him than before, but he wouldn't call himself popular.

They ate in comfortable silence for a moment. Aiko's bento looked homemade and elaborate—rice shaped like a bear, carefully arranged vegetables, rolled omelets.

"That looks really good," Yuki said softly.

"Oh! Thank you! I like cooking." Aiko's face lit up. "Do you cook?"

"Not really. Just simple stuff."

"I could teach you sometime! If you wanted." She paused. "Actually, that's kind of why I wanted to talk to you."

Yuki looked up from his onigiri. "To teach me cooking?"

"No, I mean—well, maybe eventually—but I wanted to ask..." Aiko took a breath. "Would you want to study together sometime? I heard you're really good at studies, and I'm struggling in some subjects. And maybe we could just... hang out? Get to know each other?"

Yuki's mind immediately jumped to the quest. Study together. Alone. Where people could potentially... touch each other...?

No! That's not what she means! She just wants help with her studies! Don't be weird! dumb yuki dummy!

"Um... sure," he heard himself say. "When were you thinking?"

"Really?" Aiko looked genuinely surprised and happy. "How about today after school? There's a nice cafe near the station that's quiet. We could study there for a bit?"

The quest timer pulsed in his vision: [71:23:17]

"Okay," Yuki said quietly. "That sounds fine."

"Perfect!" Aiko beamed at him. "I'll meet you at the front gate after classes end?"

Yuki nodded, and Aiko left looking extremely pleased with herself.

What did I just agree to? This is for studying. Just studying, Nothing else.

But the quest notification glowed in the corner of his vision, reminding him that he had less than 72 hours to complete it.

The afternoon classes dragged. Yuki couldn't focus at all. By the time the final bell rang, his stomach was in knots.

He packed his bag slowly, but not slowly enough to miss meeting Aiko. She'd asked him. It would be rude to back out now.

Aiko was waiting at the front gate, looking excited. She'd let her hair down—it fell in soft waves past her shoulders. She'd also applied light makeup that made her eyes stand out.

"Ready?" she asked brightly.

"Yeah."

They walked to the cafe together, making small talk about classes and teachers. Aiko was easy to talk to—she asked questions but didn't push when Yuki gave short answers. She filled silences naturally without making them awkward.

The cafe was small and cozy, with warm lighting and quiet jazz playing in the background. They found a corner booth away from other customers.

"This place is nice," Yuki said, looking around.

"Right? I come here a lot to study. The coffee is good and they don't mind if you stay for hours." Aiko pulled out her chemistry textbook. "Okay, so I'm completely lost on this unit about acids and bases..."

For the next hour, they actually studied. Yuki started with his forte chemistry and explained pH levels, conjugate acid-base pairs, and buffer solutions. Aiko took notes diligently, asked good questions, and seemed genuinely interested in learning.

It was... nice. Comfortable. Yuki found himself relaxing, his anxiety about the quest fading into the background.

When they'd worked through most of her homework, Aiko closed her textbook with a satisfied sigh. "You're such a good teacher! This makes so much more sense now. Thank you, Nakamura-kun."

"Just Yuki is fine," he said quietly. "You don't have to be so formal."

"Then call me Aiko!" She smiled. "And let me buy you a proper drink to say thank you. What do you want? Coffee? Tea?"

"Um... tea is fine. Green tea?"

Aiko went to order at the counter. Yuki checked his phone while waiting. A text from Mizuki.

Mizuki: How was your day?

He typed back: It was fine. Studying at a cafe now.

Her response came immediately: Oooh studying! So diligent! With who?

A friend from school. Chemistry homework.

Mizuki: Chemistry~? How fitting <3 Text me when you get home!

Yuki put his phone away as Aiko returned with two drinks—his green tea and what looked like a chocolate latte for herself.

"So," Aiko said, settling back into her seat, "can I ask you something personal?"

Yuki tensed slightly. "Um... okay?"

"Are you dating anyone?"

His face immediately flushed hot. "I... I don't know?"

"You don't know?" Aiko tilted her head, looking amused.

"I mean... someone kissed me. Recently. But we never talked about... what that means? So I'm not sure if we're dating or if it was just... a kiss?" Yuki was staring very intently at his tea.

"Did you want it to be just a kiss?"

"I don't know," Yuki repeated miserably. "I've never... I don't know how any of this works."

Aiko was quiet for a moment. Then she reached across the table and gently touched his hand. "Yuki-kun, can I be honest with you?"

He nodded, not quite meeting her eyes.

"I think you're really cute. Like, really cute. I've thought so since the day we crashed into each other on the stairs." She squeezed his hand gently. "And I'd like to get to know you better. Not just as study partners. As... maybe more than friends?"

Yuki's heart was racing. "But you barely know me..."

"Then let me get to know you." Aiko smiled softly. "We could start with something simple. Want to take a walk? There's a park nearby that's really pretty this time of evening."

The quest timer pulsed: [70:12:33]

A park. Quiet. Private. This could be... this might be the opportunity to...

"Okay," Yuki heard himself say.

They left the cafe and walked to the nearby park. The sun was starting to set, casting everything in warm orange light. The park was mostly empty—just a few joggers and one elderly couple on a bench.

Aiko led him to a quieter section, where large trees provided shade and privacy. They found a bench overlooking a small pond.

"This is my favorite spot," Aiko said, sitting down. "It's peaceful."

Yuki sat beside her, leaving a respectful amount of space between them. His hands were fidgeting with his hoodie sleeves.

"You're really nervous, aren't you?" Aiko observed gently.

"Sorry..."

"Don't apologize. It's actually kind of cute." She shifted closer on the bench, closing the gap between them. "Can I tell you what I like about you?"

"Um..."

"You're kind. You helped me pick up all those papers without making me feel stupid for dropping them. You explain things patiently without making people feel dumb. You're shy but you still show up and try." Aiko's hand found his on the bench. "And you're beautiful. I know that probably makes you uncomfortable to hear, but you are. You're genuinely one of the prettiest people I've ever met."

Yuki's face was burning. "I'm not... I'm just..."

"Yuki-kun," Aiko said softly, "can I kiss you?"

His breath caught. His heart was hammering so hard it hurt. The quest notification glowed in his peripheral vision.

This is it. This is the opportunity. I need to do this. I have to do this.

"Okay," he whispered.

Aiko leaned in slowly, giving him time to pull away if he wanted. But Yuki stayed still, frozen with nerves and anticipation.

Her lips met his—soft, warm, gentle. Different from Mizuki's quick station kiss. This one lingered, deepened. Aiko's hand came up to cup his cheek, tilting his face slightly.

Yuki's eyes fluttered closed. His hands didn't know where to go, so they stayed fisted in his lap.

When they finally pulled apart, Aiko was smiling. "Was that okay?"

"Yeah," Yuki managed, his voice barely audible.

"Can I do it again?"

He nodded.

This time the kiss lasted longer. Aiko's hand moved from his cheek to the back of his neck, fingers tangling gently in his hair. Her other hand rested on his knee, warm through his pants.

Yuki's breath hitched. The touch on his knee sent sparks up his leg.

"You taste like green tea," Aiko murmured against his lips, then kissed him again.

The kiss soon became hungry, more wild. Yuki tried to keep track of time but lost count as Aiko kissed him , thoroughly, like she had no time left in this world, her pace was growing faster and faster .

Her hand on his knee moved slightly higher, resting on his thigh. Warm. Making him very aware of her touch.

When she pulled back again, Yuki was breathing harder. His face felt like it was on fire.

"You okay?" Aiko asked, her thumb stroking his cheek.

"Yeah... I just... I'm not good at this..."

"You're doing fine." She smiled and leaned in to press a soft kiss to his jaw, then his neck.

Yuki made a small sound he didn't mean to make. His body was responding in ways he couldn't control—his breathing was faster, his skin felt hypersensitive, something was stirring low in his stomach.

"Is this okay?" Aiko whispered against his neck.

"Yes," Yuki breathed, even though he felt like he might pass out from nervousness.

Her hand moved from his thigh to his waist, slipping just under the hem of his hoodie to touch his hip bone. Skin on skin. Her fingers were slightly cold but gentle.

"You're trembling," she noted softly.

"Sorry—"

"Don't apologize. I like knowing I affect you." Her hand slid around to rest on his lower back, still under his hoodie. "Can I touch you more?"

"Okay," Yuki whispered.

Aiko's hand moved up his back, tracing his spine through his thin undershirt. Her lips returned to his neck, pressing soft kisses that made him shiver. Her other hand left his face to rest on his chest, over his hoodie, feeling his rapid heartbeat.

"Your heart is racing," she murmured.

"I know..." Yuki's hands were still fisted in his lap, unsure what to do with them.

"You can touch me too, you know." Aiko guided one of his hands to her waist. "If you want."

His hand rested there awkwardly, not moving. Touch her? He didn't know how. Didn't know what was appropriate.

But Aiko didn't seem to mind his hesitation. She kissed him again, longer this time, her tongue brushing his lower lip asking for entry, then she bit it just a little. Yuki gasped slightly, and she took the opportunity to deepen the kiss properly.

His first real kiss. Tongues and heat and overwhelming sensation. Mizuki's kiss had been sweet and chaste. This was... something else entirely.

Aiko's hand on his chest moved lower, tracing down his stomach over his hoodie, then back up. Teasing. Exploring. Her other hand was still under his hoodie, against his bare back, holding him close.

Yuki was making small sounds he couldn't suppress. His body was reacting—heat pooling in his stomach, his skin hypersensitive to every touch, his breathing uneven.

She can definitely tell. She knows she's affecting me. The quest, goooods i cant even think about it

As if reading his thoughts, Aiko pulled back slightly to look at him. His lips were swollen from kissing, his face flushed, his eyes slightly unfocused behind his glasses.

"You're so pretty like this," she whispered, her hand cupping his face again. "All flustered and breathless."

"Aiko-san..." His voice came out shaky.

"Just Aiko," she corrected with a smile, then kissed him again.

This continued for several more minutes—kissing, touching, Aiko's hands exploring his waist and back and chest while Yuki trembled and tried not to make too many embarrassing sounds.

Finally, Aiko pulled away completely, looking satisfied and slightly breathless herself.

"We should probably stop before someone walks by and gets the wrong idea," she said, though her hand was still resting on his knee.

Yuki nodded mutely, unable to form words. His whole body felt electric, oversensitive, like every nerve ending was exposed.

And then the notification appeared:

Yuki dismissed the notifications quickly before Aiko could notice him staring into space.

"Are you okay?" Aiko asked, concern in her voice. "Was that too much? I'm sorry if I pushed—"

"No," Yuki said quickly. "It was... it was nice. I just... I'm not used to any of this."

"I could tell." She smiled and squeezed his knee gently. "You're really sweet, Yuki-kun. And very cute when you're nervous." she giggled

They sat in comfortable silence for a moment, watching the sun finish setting over the pond.

"Can I ask you something?" Aiko said eventually.

"Sure."

"The person who kissed you before... was that someone you actually like? Or was it just circumstance?"

Yuki thought about Mizuki. About her kind smile at the party, the way she'd walked him to the station, the gentle kiss goodnight. He barely knew her. They'd talked maybe three times total.

"I don't know," he admitted. "I barely know her."

"And do you want to get to know her?"

"I... maybe?" Yuki's hands twisted in his lap. "But I also... I liked this. With you. Does that make me a bad person?"

"No," Aiko said firmly. "It makes you normal. You're allowed to explore your feelings, Yuki-kun. You're allowed to figure out what you want." She stood up and offered her hand. "Come on. Let's get you to the station before it gets too dark."

They walked back through the park together. Aiko held his hand the whole way, their fingers intertwined. It felt nice. Comfortable. warm

At the train station, Aiko turned to face him. "Thank you for today. For studying with me. For trusting me with... the other stuff."

"Thank you," Yuki said softly. "For being patient with me."

"Can we do this again? Hang out, I mean. Maybe this weekend?"

Yuki hesitated. Two girls now. Mizuki who'd kissed him first. Aiko who'd just kissed him much more thoroughly. He had no idea what he was doing.

"Maybe," he said carefully. "Can I... can I text you?"

"Of course!" Aiko pulled out her phone. "We already exchanged numbers at the cafe, remember?"

Oh. Right. He'd been so distracted by studying that he'd forgotten.

"Text me whenever," Aiko said. Then she leaned up and kissed his cheek. "Get home safe, okay?"

She left with a wave, disappearing into the station.

Yuki stood there for a moment, touching his lips. They were still tingling from all the kissing. His whole body felt strange—sensitive, warm, buzzing with residual energy.

He pulled out his phone. Three texts from Mizuki.

Mizuki: How's studying going?

Mizuki: Don't work too hard!

Mizuki: Text me when you're done! I want to hear about your day!

And one from Tanaka.

Tanaka: dude get this, you know the aiko girl who asked you out?? well someone saw her with another girl in the park!! TUT

Yuki's stomach dropped. Someone saw them? Who? How much had they seen?

His phone buzzed with a new message from Tanaka.

Tanaka: She was KISSING her!! guess she was really just asking to hangout with you

Yuki wanted to disappear. Of course someone had seen. Of course word would spread. This was high school. Nothing stayed private.

He typed back: Did you happen to know the other girl.

Tanaka: nah but i heard that she was a real chick, and cute too.

Yuki's face turned red. he quickly put his phone in his pocket without responding. He couldn't deal with this right now.

The train ride home was a blur. He stared at his reflection in the dark window, his mind spinning.

Two girls. Two kisses. Two quests complete. Eight more to go.

When he got home, the apartment was dark. His mother's note on the table said she'd be working overnight. Yuki heated up leftover curry, ate mechanically, and went to his room.

He pulled up his Status Window:
