Chapter 29 - Chapter 27 – The Sword Hero, Blade

"Takumi-sama, we should get going."

Freya, carrying her pack, smiled as she reminded the others. The three of them had just exited the Interdimensional Realm and now stood together, gazing in the direction of the Ice Wolf Tribe's territory.

Using his [Thousand-Mile Hearing], Takumi had been keeping tabs on the situation from afar. The scouts sent by the Jioral Kingdom Army were far more numerous than the few he'd killed before. The tribe's location being exposed—it was only a matter of time.

The Jioral Kingdom had already been preparing for an invasion and pillage. Its troops were ready and waiting.

But what caught Takumi by surprise was a face he hadn't expected to see among them—a blonde, blue-eyed woman clad in male knight's armor.

The Sword Hero, Blade—she was marching with the Jioral army.

Her arrival was the result of a chain reaction. After Takumi had captured Princess Flare, the news spread, and Blade, furious beyond reason, came running from a neighboring country.

A sadistic yuri pervert to the core, Blade was madly obsessed with Flare. Once she confirmed the princess's disappearance, her rage exploded. Hearing about the planned subjugation of the Ice Wolf Tribe, she decided to join the mission herself—to massacre demi-humans and capture a few female ones to vent her grief and frustration.

With Blade's arrival, the war instantly became one-sided.

At first, Setsuna wasn't too worried—the Ice Wolf Tribe excelled in defensive warfare. But when Takumi and the others arrived, the situation was far worse than she had imagined.

With a single swing of her sword, Blade unleashed a devastating wave of sword energy that split the tribe's defensive barrier in two. The Jioral soldiers cheered, rallying as their captains led them forward in a full advance.

"Damn humans!!!"

Setsuna clenched her fangs, her whole body radiating killing intent.

Just as she was about to rush forward, Takumi caught her arm. "Now's not the time. Let Freya handle the AOE cleanup first."

Setsuna bit her lip so hard it drew blood, but she still stopped.

Seeing her obey even while burning with hatred, Takumi nodded in approval. Her loyalty, even in rage, was unquestionable.

He raised his hand with a commanding gesture. "Freya, clear the field."

"Yes, Takumi."

Freya's expression turned cold as she lifted her divine staff, Vanargand, toward the army below.

"Fifth-rank magic: Meteor!"

Magic surged like a tidal wave. High above the sky, a colossal stone sphere formed—and in the next moment, it plummeted, burning as it fell.

The soldiers charging across the battlefield froze in terror.

"No way!"

"Run! Run!!"

...

"This is… Flare's magic!"

Amid the chaos and screams, only Blade recognized the spell's signature. But she had no time to dwell on it. Gripping her divine sword, Ragnarok, she let its faint light engulf her body.

Her strength and speed multiplied as she raised the weapon high, meeting the falling meteor head-on.

BOOOOOOM!!

The impact sent a shockwave ripping through the valley. Over a thousand soldiers were annihilated in an instant. The ground itself caved in nearly ten meters deep.

Even the Ice Wolf Tribe was left speechless—they had never imagined the battle would reverse so suddenly.

As the surviving soldiers scattered in panic, Setsuna couldn't hold back any longer. She charged into the fray, slicing through enemies she once could never defeat.

Takumi didn't stop her this time. Instead, his eyes turned toward the center of the smoke-shrouded battlefield.

Suddenly—

BOOM!

A terrifying slash erupted from within the dust cloud. Takumi raised his hand, firing a magic bullet that shattered the sword energy midair. The shards of power pierced nearby rocks, leaving deep holes.

Then, through the haze, a figure stepped forth—glowing with light, wielding the divine sword Ragnarok, completely unscathed.

"So you blocked my strike… You must be the mastermind behind this—Princess Flare!"

Blade's eyes narrowed with disgust as she glared at Takumi—then her gaze caught on the woman beside him. Even though Freya's face had changed slightly, Blade recognized her instantly.

"I see now… You're the Healing Hero—the bastard who tricked and kidnapped Princess Flare!"

Her voice dripped with venom as she pieced together the truth.

Takumi ignored her and calmly activated his Jade Eye.

[Name: Blade]

[Level: 35 (Intermediate Fighter)]

[Traits: Chosen Hero (Gold), Herculean Strength (Green), Robust Body (White)]

[Herculean Strength (Green): Your power rivals that of a raging bull, allowing you to lift several times your own weight.]

"What trash."

Takumi frowned. Without Chosen Hero (Gold), she'd barely even qualify for mid-tier combat. For someone titled the Sword Hero, her swordsmanship wasn't even strong enough to form a skill trait.

"Takumi, she's dangerous!"

Freya ignored Blade's shouts, raising her staff once more.

"[Fifth-rank magic: Pillar of Flame!]"

A blinding pillar of fire burst upward beneath Blade's feet, swallowing her in an inferno.

But the next instant—a slash tore the flames apart, and Blade charged through the blaze.

"Damn you, man! You've used dark magic to control Princess Flare—damn you! Damn you!!"

Consumed by hatred, Blade's muscles bulged like stone, her body swelling until she was nearly three meters tall. The armor on her body split apart. The power radiating from her now rivaled that of a high-ranking demon.

Takumi's eyes fixed on the glowing sword in her hands. Without that Divine Armament, she was nothing.

"Boosted!"

The Boosted Gear materialized around his arm, releasing an emerald glow. His strength doubled once again.

"That sword belongs to me!"

With a grin, Takumi drew his blade and leapt from above.

Seeing him charge straight at her, Blade roared and swung Ragnarok down.

WHOOSH!!

Her strike unleashed a massive wave of sword energy, cleaving through the ground toward him.

"Too slow."

Takumi slammed his foot into the dirt and shot sideways like a cannonball, darting past the slash. In the blink of an eye, he was already before her.

The glint of his blade reflected in Blade's pupils.

"[Clyret Style: Blood Rose]!"

A dazzling flash bloomed like a crimson rose, carving graceful arcs through the air.

Eyes, neck, wrists, knees—every vital point was cut in an instant as the sword traced its deadly pattern.
