Chapter 27 - Entering the Police Station

Solved?

The people from the Art and Literature group walked out of the private room. They had no idea what had just happened outside but could hear screams of pain. Ye Qingxue wanted to go out and see for herself several times, but Bingxin stopped her each time.

They were all confused, unsure what had just occurred or why Xia Tian had suddenly declared it "solved."

By the time everyone exited the private room, Brother Leopard had already been carried away by his staff. His employees and security guards had also left, leaving the corridor empty.

"Where did those people go?" Ye Qingxue glanced around. She had just heard someone screaming in pain, but now there was no one in sight.

"Maybe they all went to worship the gods," Xia Tian said with a slight smile.

"Really?" Ye Qingxue looked skeptical.

"Qingxue, let's leave here first," Bingxin reminded her.

"Yes. Let's leave, and everyone should go home. I'll definitely tell Sister Wen what happened today once I get back," Ye Qingxue said, still angry about what the Sports Department had done.

One by one, everyone left Emperor KTV.

What struck Xia Tian as strange was that, despite the chaos, the other private rooms were still crowded, and the manager had not appeared at all, as if nothing had happened.

When Xia Tian, Ye Qingxue, and the others stepped outside, he finally understood why.

At a nearby intersection, three J cars waited. As Xia Tian exited the KTV, the three cars drove out from three directions, having been hiding there, waiting for him.

Seeing Xia Tian, the cars drove straight up and surrounded him.

"You are suspected of intentional injury. You need to come with us for investigation," a police officer said, taking out handcuffs and securing them on Xia Tian.

"Wait, we're just assisting in the investigation. There's no need for handcuffs, right?" Xia Tian's expression turned cold. If it weren't for Ye Qingxue and Bingxin by his side, he wouldn't have surrendered. He had already noticed Mr. Liu in the car at the back. Obviously, this was all orchestrated by him. He had also prepared a lawyer skilled in cases like this.

If he went with them willingly, nothing good would come of it.

But he had no choice; he had to follow now, or Ye Qingxue and Bingxin would be in danger.

"No. We received a report that you're extremely dangerous. Handcuffs are required," the officer said firmly.

"Extremely dangerous? Fine, I'll go, but I need to see both of them leave safely first," Xia Tian nodded.

"No. You must come with us now," the officer insisted.

"Don't force me." Xia Tian stared at him coldly.

The officer felt as if he were being watched by a predator, cold sweat breaking out on his back. "Okay, okay."

"Cousin, you two go home first. I'll be fine," Xia Tian said with a slight smile. He needed to ensure Ye Qingxue and the others were safe; otherwise, if the KTV staff came back, it would be trouble.

"But you…" Ye Qingxue said, worried.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine." Xia Tian called a taxi for Ye Qingxue and Bingxin. He scanned the vehicle with X-Ray eyes and only got in once he confirmed it was safe.

"Qingxue, what should we do?" Bingxin asked.

"Let me call my mother." Ye Qingxue dialed, but no one answered.

"What's happening today? No one is answering Sister Wen's phone or Mother's either," she frowned. "Looks like we have to go home."

Once inside the police car, Xia Tian closed his eyes to rest. He had to be fully prepared. They had a professional lawyer and the mysterious Mr. Liu on their side—they wouldn't let him go easily.

Inside the Police Station

"Name?"

"Xia Tian." Xia Tian sat lazily on the stool.

"Do you know where you are?"

"The police bureau," Xia Tian replied.

"You know this is the J Police Department, yet you're so presumptuous. Answer my questions honestly."

"I'm here to cooperate with the investigation, but I want to know what crime I supposedly committed. I've been answering your questions," Xia Tian said seriously, sitting up straight.

"Serious injuries. Thirteen people were sent to the hospital; one is in intensive care."

"What does that have to do with me? You don't think I sent all those people to the hospital, do you?" Xia Tian refused to admit anything. If he did, he would spend the rest of his life in prison.

"You'd better cooperate, or you'll never get out."

"Are you threatening me, officer? Or do you have evidence?" Xia Tian looked at the police with disdain.

At that moment, the interrogation room door opened. Mr. Liu and another officer entered. Mr. Liu gestured to the officer interrogating Xia Tian to leave, taking over the case himself.

Seeing Mr. Liu, Xia Tian knew the real challenge was about to begin.

Mr. Liu glanced at the officer, who promptly turned off the interrogation camera. Xia Tian shook his head. He had learned a lot today.

"You little brat. You've fallen into my hands. If you behave, I'll have my lawyer drop two charges. If not, you'll spend the rest of your life in prison," Mr. Liu said menacingly. Xia Tian had humiliated him at Emperor KTV and also broken Brother Leopard's arm.

Brother Leopard and Brother Bao were sworn brothers. Now that Brother Leopard had been beaten, if Mr. Liu didn't handle this, his future would be ruined.

"Brother Leopard said the same thing before," Xia Tian smiled slightly.

"You dare mention Brother Leopard? You ruined everything!" Mr. Liu yelled. "I had plans with him today, but you beat him up!"

"Oh, seems like an unexpected gain," Xia Tian said, smiling.

For Xia Tian, ruining the enemy's plan was satisfying. Even with handcuffs on, he wasn't worried.

"Boy, kneel and kowtow to me three times. Beg me not to kill you, and maybe you won't spend the rest of your life in prison," Mr. Liu demanded, feeling humiliated.

"If you kneel and kowtow to me three times, maybe you won't stay in prison for the rest of your life," Xia Tian imitated mockingly.

"You little brat. Think I don't dare? I've hired the best lawyer who can make sure you never get out of jail!" Mr. Liu slammed the table in anger.

"I believe in justice," Xia Tian said with a slight smile.

The lawyer approached Xia Tian, attempting a sneak attack from behind—but Xia Tian had X-Ray eyes.

Handcuffs appeared on the lawyer's hands.

"What…how did you do that?" Mr. Liu stared in disbelief. The handcuffs on Xia Tian's wrists had vanished.

Mr. Liu, ready to teach Xia Tian a lesson, was completely stunned.

Superman? Had he just seen the legendary Superman? At the KTV, surrounded by forty or fifty people, Xia Tian had seriously injured Brother Leopard. Now at the police station, handcuffed, he had overpowered a lawyer in seconds.

Mr. Liu and the lawyer were both stunned. It happened too quickly.

"What are you going to do?"

Mr. Liu pressed the alarm in the interrogation room, setting off the alarms throughout the building.

At the same time, Ye Qingxue finally reached her mother.

"Mommy, why didn't you answer before?" Ye Qingxue breathed a sigh of relief. She had been worried about Xia Tian's safety.

"What's wrong? You seem so flustered."

"Xia Tian was arrested by the police," Ye Qingxue explained briefly.

"I know. Don't worry, Xia Tian will be fine."
