Chapter 2 - THE ADVENTURE OF THE WITCH KASANA BEGINS

Previous Story:

The previous story told of a beautiful girl living alone near a river named Kasana. Not long after, a commotion occurred, Kasana was captured by soldiers and brought before the King. Kasana ended up in the royal dungeon as a forced laborer. An explosion occurred in the kingdom, causing a great commotion. Kasana was freed by the explosion. While walking, Kasana saw a light. Kasana got back up, seeing her body healed without any wounds, and talked to the light. Kasana refused the light's request to become a Witch, but was still forced to become one and then fainted, forgetting all her memories except her own name.

The Story Continues:

The next morning, Kasana woke up in green grass, looking around. In front of her was only a forest, while behind her was the ruined kingdom.

Kasana: "Where am I? Why am I lying here? Did I fall asleep?"

Kasana tried to remember what happened, but she couldn't remember anything at all. Kasana stood up, looking at the ruined kingdom. Suddenly, Kasana's stomach rumbled.

Kasana: "Ugh... I'm so hungry. Hopefully there's some food in that kingdom."

Kasana, carrying a magic staff and wearing a hat that lay not far from her staff, walked toward the kingdom. When she arrived, the kingdom's defensive wall was destroyed. As Kasana entered, many citizens were crying in front of the ruins of their homes and stared at Kasana with fear. Suddenly, one of the citizens shouted:

Citizen 1: "There's a witch!"

Many citizens surrounded Kasana with angry expressions, while other citizens protected their children and ran away.

Kasana was shocked when surrounded by citizens.

Kasana: "Why are you all like this? Did I do something wrong?"

Citizen 2: "Of course you did! You destroyed this kingdom with your fire magic! No one here can use magic except you. You must be from the neighboring kingdom!"

Citizen 3: "We had already agreed to cooperate with your kingdom, but what did we get? Our lives are only getting harder. I don't trust any of you!"

Kasana felt panic and tension because she didn't know anything and was being accused.

Kasana: "Honestly, I don't know anything at all. I don't remember anything, and I also need help."

Citizen 4: "There's no help for an evil witch like you. You better leave!"

Hearing that, Kasana felt pressured and was still holding back her tears. Kasana then ran out of the kingdom's defensive wall and took shelter under a tree not far from the kingdom.

Kasana: "I'm so hungry. Is it true that I destroyed that kingdom? Did I cooperate with the neighboring kingdom?"

Kasana: "I don't even know where the neighboring kingdom is. There's no way I did that."

Kasana put her hat on the ground and looked down with a worried and confused expression. A fresh wind came, rustling the tree, and suddenly an apple fell on her head.

Kasana felt pain on her head, rubbing it with her hand.

Kasana: "My head hurts so much! What hit my head just now?"

Kasana looked at the red apple that had just fallen on her head.

Kasana: "Is that an apple?"

Kasana suddenly felt happy, immediately picking it up and eating it.

Kasana: "It tastes so good! Even though it's just an apple, it tastes so delicious!"

Kasana quickly finished the apple and looked up at the tree. There were many apple trees bearing fruit.

Kasana: "I want more!"

Kasana stood up and took her staff, trying to reach the apple from below.

Kasana: "Aaa... Just a little bit more. Come on, reach it!"

Kasana even stood on her tiptoes, but still couldn't reach it and instead fell to the side. Kasana tried again by attempting to climb the tree, but still couldn't.

Kasana: "Why is my body so small?"

Kasana kept staring at the apples above while thinking of a way. Unbeknownst to her, there was a wild boar behind her, its eyes red. The wild boar let out a breath, causing the clothes Kasana was wearing to lift slightly. Kasana held her clothes so they wouldn't lift up.

Kasana: "Yes, there's wind again. Come on, drop one more apple!"

Unknowingly, Kasana held the wild boar's tusk.

Kasana: "What is this? Why does it feel so hard?"

Kasana touched the tusk, feeling it from end to end until she felt its sharp point. When Kasana turned around, she was shocked.

Kasana: "There's a wild animal!"

The wild boar rammed Kasana's body, making her fall onto the tree. Kasana quickly climbed the tree with all her might and successfully reached a branch.

Kasana: "Eh, I can climb!"

Kasana mocked the wild boar. The wild boar, seeing Kasana, felt angry and rammed the apple tree repeatedly.

Kasana: "I didn't expect a wild boar could also get angry."

The wild boar rammed the tree harder until all the apples fell to the ground. Kasana hugged the tree branch tightly so she wouldn't fall.

Kasana: "My apples! I can't just stand by. I could end up being its delicious meal. I have to go!"

Kasana looked down and saw that her hat and magic staff were below. The wild boar kept ramming the tree. Suddenly, Kasana's hat flew up because of the wild boar's foot.

Kasana: "My hat!"

Finally, the apple tree fell, and Kasana also fell. After falling, Kasana started to get up again. The wild boar was about to ram Kasana. Kasana successfully dodged and grabbed her magic staff.

The wild boar started running again to ram Kasana. Kasana spoke in her heart:

Kasana: If I could cause chaos in the kingdom, then this wild boar should only be a minor problem, like a common enemy.

Kasana pointed her staff at the wild boar and began to chant a spell.

Kasana: "Fire!"

The magic staff did not emit anything, and the wild boar was getting closer. Kasana felt panicked and kept chanting the fire spell.

Kasana: "Fire! Fire!! Fire!!!"

The wild boar was close. Kasana moved her body in a panic and hit the wild boar with the magic staff while closing her eyes.

Kasana: "Aaa...!"

The wild boar was defeated, thrown quite far, and passed out. Kasana opened her eyes and looked around.

Kasana: "Am I safe? Hmm... Wild boars like you shouldn't be able to match the strongest witch in the world."

From behind the forest, more wild monsters appeared: a bear and another wild boar with red eyes.

Kasana: "I just defeated one wild boar, and now a new anomaly appears!"

Kasana ran to save herself, but was still chased by the two wild animals.

Kasana: "I'm sorry! I won't take your fruit again!"

Kasana and the two wild animals kept chasing each other. Not long after, one of the wild animals, the wild boar, hit a tree, while the bear was still chasing Kasana. Kasana looked back while running.

Kasana: "Take that!"

A little girl fell from under a tree, holding fruit in her hands.

The little girl screamed when there was a wild boar near her.

Little girl: "Aaa... Save me, please, anyone!"

Kasana, hearing that, turned around and saw the little girl about to be attacked by the wild boar. In front of Kasana, the bear immediately lunged to attack Kasana.

Kasana tried to dodge and was scratched on her left arm. Kasana's clothes were also torn by the claw marks.

Kasana: "That hurt so much!"

Kasana retaliated against the bear by hitting it with her magic staff. After finishing, Kasana quickly moved toward the little girl and made it just in time, hitting the wild boar and saving the little girl.

Kasana: "Are you okay?"

The little girl looked at Kasana.

Little girl: "Thank you, Witch. Thanks to you, I'm safe. As a sign of my gratitude, I will give you one fruit."

Kasana: "Are you serious?"

The little girl nodded. Kasana took the fruit and ate it.

Little girl: "It's rare to find a great witch like you."

Kasana was silent for a moment and looked at the little girl.

Kasana: "Aren't you afraid of me?"

Little girl: "Why should I be afraid? You saved my life."

Kasana: "By the way, why are you carrying so much fruit? Are you with someone else?"

Little girl: "This is for the people in need in that kingdom. I'm not with anyone. I'm just doing it alone."

Little girl: "The Witch seems to really like it. How about helping me pick fruit? We can eat some of it together too."

Kasana: "Alright, let's go pick a lot of this fruit!"

The little girl took her fruit basket. Kasana carried the little girl to pick more fruit. Time passed. Kasana and the little girl went to the kingdom. In front of the ruined wall, there were already two guards and many citizens.

The citizens saw Kasana, felt panicked again, and shouted, "Witch!" The two guards immediately became alert, pointing their weapons at Kasana.

Guard 1: "Get out of here! Don't cause us more trouble!"

The little girl, who was behind Kasana, stepped forward in front of Kasana.

Little girl: "Stop! Please lower your weapons!"

The guards immediately fell silent and lowered their weapons.

Guard 2: "Yes, Your Highness."

Another soldier leader arrived.

Soldier Leader: "What's the commotion here?"

The little princess approached the soldier leader and hugged her: "Ellen!"

Ellen: "Eh, Your Highness, where have you been? We've been looking for you."

Little Princess: "Don't worry. I went out with a strong witch."

Ellen looked at Kasana, drew her sword, and pointed it at Kasana.

Ellen: "What do you want here?"

The atmosphere became tense.
