"Uh, I could ask you the same thing! What even happened? Why are you so out of it?" Miko cried out, exasperated. He grabbed my hand and led us down behind the school, no one was here at the school anymore.
I pointed up to Mr.Jasper's classroom. "Uhm, weren't people just freaking out?" All the lights were off. Weren't there just a ton of cops? I didn't see any police cars.
Miko turned to face me, concern large on his face. "What are you even talking about?! Are you blind?!" He spun me around, facing me towards the school. For a second, it was the same: dark, empty. Then everything changed, it turned bright. Okay… midafternoon. That's normal. And people. Lots and lots of people, running around. Dozens of police cars lined up the back. People are staring at me.
"Atlas! What the hell?!" Villian shouted to me as they approached.
"Villian, I-" I started, before everything went dark and Villian disappeared. I turned around to face Miko, but he wasn't there. Now, I began to panic. "M-Miko!?" I spun around for what felt like hours, everything always seemed to be spinning for me anyway, my heart began to race and I felt small drops of sweat appear on my forehead. Everyone was gone, the nighttime had returned.
"Atlas?" Miko's voice cuts through the loud silence, his hands on my shoulders. Concern and terror so clear on his face it might as well be written in sharpie. He was here, it was daytime, now everyone thinks I'm crazier than I am. Or.. maybe I am.
"Y-You were gone!" I shouted, my heart still racing. "I- I couldn't find you… and I thought…" I held back tears, I can't just lose it in front of everyone. If there was anyone. Whatever frame was real and fake, although I pick the one with Miko.
