Chapter 514 - NSDD: Chapter 514

High above, the wind blew sharp and clear.

Kaoru soared swiftly through the sky, carrying Hinata, Wan'er, and Kurotsuchi alongside him as they flew over several vast, boundless forests.

"Brother, now that the war is over, where are we going? Shouldn't we stay and clear up the battlefield first?"

As the four figures sped across the endless treetops, Wan'er turned toward Kaoru, her expression full of confusion, and spoke softly.

"Mmm... after breaking free from the illusion of the Infinite Tsukuyomi... the world indeed appears to be at peace..." Kaoru replied gently. He looked at her, his gaze seeming to hold the depth of the stars and the sea within it.

"But it is only an appearance. What I intend to do next... if the other Kage refuse to agree... then this battle... cannot truly be said to be over yet..."

"Kaoru... no... Commander of the Alliance... what exactly are you planning to do?" Kurotsuchi from Iwagakure asked immediately, her voice uneasy upon hearing his somewhat threatening tone.

"You will know very soon..." A graceful, confident smile curved the corners of Kaoru's mouth. His deep eyes gazed out across the endless sky, as if the entire world was already within his grasp.

"Rest assured... everyone will bear witness to what comes next..."

"The true path to peace... is something I must open with my own hands..."

As he spoke, Kaoru silently increased his speed, cutting through the clouds and leaving a long, trailing mark across the heavens...

...

Meanwhile, on the battlefield below.

As far as the eye could see, ruins and destruction stretched across the land.

Although the entire army of White Zetsu had been wiped out, and the reanimated forces summoned via Edo Tensei had been forcibly released by the Sage of Six Paths, the scars left behind by the massive war remained painfully visible everywhere.

Shinobi of the Allied Forces lay wounded or dead across the field. The remaining medical teams worked tirelessly to treat the surviving injured.

Tsunade had activated her Slug Great Division Healing Technique, summoning countless small divisions of slugs that attached themselves to the wounded shinobi, working continuously to heal their injuries.

"This struggle against the dead... is finally over..." an aged voice spoke softly from behind Tsunade. The Third Hokage, his back hunched with age, shuffled slowly to her side.

"Yes... I truly hope that war and strife never again descend upon this land..." Tsunade replied, her eyes deep with thought as she let out a soft sigh.

Yet her mind was no longer here; it had long since flown to Kaoru, wherever he might be. "I wonder where Kaoru has gone now?"

"Kaoru, you say..." Hearing his name, a faint smile appeared on the Third Hokage's weathered face, filled with immense relief and satisfaction after witnessing the great war.

"I never imagined that in the end, it would be him who stepped forward to stop Madara Uchiha... and save the entire shinobi world. I knew the boy had a brilliant future ahead of him... but I never expected he would rise to such heights and achieve so much..."

"I entrusted the title of Sixth Hokage to him... and it seems my judgment was correct after all... haha..."

It seems that young man who was once so difficult to read.....ultimately never strayed from the true path of the shinobi...

"I must say... this time, Kaoru Uchiha truly is the hero who saved the entire world..." came a charming, alluring voice.

Despite her somewhat disheveled appearance from battle, Mizukage Mei Terumī still radiated grace and beauty.

A strange light flickered within her captivating eyes. "A truly powerful and perfect man..."

"It is truly hard to believe that the fate of the shinobi world rested in the hands of just one shinobi..."

On the other side, the Third Tsuchikage shook his head with a wry smile, reaching out to support his aching old back, long overburdened by years and battle.

"It seems it is time for this world to belong to the young... it is time for us old folks to step down and retire..."

"Do not glorify Kaoru Uchiha too much!" The Fourth Raikage spoke up, sounding somewhat displeased as he heard the other Kage singing Kaoru's praises. He gave a heavy snort.

"We won this war because the Five Great Nations stood together and worked as one! I believe that even without Kaoru Uchiha, with the unity and strength of the Five Nations, we would still have defeated Madara Uchiha!!!"

"Haha..."

"Hmm..."

In response to the Raikage's words, the other leaders reacted with various sounds and expressions, each holding their own thoughts.

"However... shinobi from the Five Nations fighting side by side like this... truly has no precedent in all of history..."

The Third Tsuchikage winced as a sharp pain shot through his back, yet a broad smile of victory remained on his face.

"This battle... is truly something everyone should remember... and speak of for generations to come..."

"And now... the next step... is to clear the battlefield and rebuild our villages..."

At this moment, all the shinobi of the Allied Forces who had recovered from their injuries stood up from the ground, their faces filled with renewed determination and energy — the kind of resilience and rebirth that comes only after surviving great war.

Suddenly at that moment.

A calm, ethereal voice rang out from the sky, resounding across the entire battlefield. Every shinobi looked up in surprise.

"Shinobi of the Allied Forces... greetings to you all..."

The voice carried a tone of casual confidence. As everyone looked upward, they saw Kaoru had appeared silently out of thin air, floating high above their heads.

Beside him, Hinata, Wan'er, and Kurotsuchi hovered quietly in mid-air.

Like a god descended from the heavens into reality, Kaoru remained suspended high above the battlefield.

His scarlet Mangekyō Sharingan and the eerie, blood-red Rinne Sharingan on his forehead shone with brilliance, gazing down at every shinobi below as if looking upon subjects beneath his rule.

"It's the Commander of the Allied Forces!!!"

"The Savior of this war!!!"

Seeing Kaoru appear, the shinobi below erupted into cheers and excitement. They looked up at him with fanatical, admiring eyes, their worship and respect completely visible on their faces.

"The way Kaoru looks now... wearing those clothes..." Tsunade murmured to herself, watching him in his white sage robes, his long hair flowing without wind.

"He truly looks just like a Sage himself..."

"There is something about that appearance... for some reason, I feel as though Kaoru is no longer on the same level as the rest of us..."

The Third Tsuchikage said gravely, his expression serious and heavy as he looked upward.

"It is clear... our shinobi hold him in great admiration..." Gaara, the Fourth Kazekage, remarked as he watched Kaoru floating in the sky.

"Very well... quiet down please..." Kaoru spoke softly to the cheering crowds below. His voice carried the weight of a divine decree; instantly, the shinobi obeyed, and the whole scene fell silent.

Looking down at the quieted masses, Kaoru nodded in satisfaction and then began to speak.

"Do not call me 'Savior' just yet. What I am about to say next... might be very difficult for you to hear. First of all, to every shinobi of the Alliance: thank you for your service and sacrifice in this war. However... I must now share with you both good news... and bad news."

Good news and bad news?

The shinobi of the Alliance were all puzzled. The war has ended in victory... what bad news could possibly remain?

Under the confused and curious gaze of everyone looking up, Kaoru continued.

"The good news is this... Madara Uchiha has been slain by my hand. In truth, he was not actually the final enemy... but you need not concern yourselves with that. In any case... the war against Akatsuki has come to a complete and final end..."

"And the bad news?" the Fourth Raikage asked in a deep voice. For some reason, a strong sense of unease was growing within him.

"The bad news...?" A playful, almost dangerous smile appeared on Kaoru's lips.

"I am afraid... I have no intention of letting things end here so casually. If it ends like this... without a united world... wars will inevitably break out again in the future. And I... have grown tired of such cycles. And so..."

His divine eyes — shining with two distinct lights of scarlet and blood-red — took in every reaction from every shinobi across the battlefield below.

And one by one, Kaoru dropped heavy, earth-shattering revelations upon them.
